You‘re one of the reasons I spent so much time out there, connecting with friends and having fun. I miss it, i don’t know anyone who skates anymore. But the fact that you still make these videos makes me so happy. I know another generation of skaters will be well looked after.
Pick it up again man. I skated hard from 14-18, then quit to work more. My girlfriend became a wife. Apartment became a house. Hourly job turned salaried. NONE of those things have brought me as much personal fulfillment as picking up skating again in the last year at 34yo. I felt like such a drone. Always doing what I needed to do, and almost never doing anything I wanted to do. Don't only focus on what you have to. Focus on something because you want to.

Best first day skating tutorial so far! Nobody talks about one footed balance for pushing / stopping or why one should use both legs to lift the end of the board. Monster Walk is also useful to get comfortable on the board.

As with anything in life, you just need thousands of hours at any task to become good. Pilots are required to have at least 1000 hours in a specific plane, same for boat captains. Gymnastic spend hours, same for ice skaters, any athletes in any field. Same for those fast asian food workers. Skateboard instructors tell you to just ride it until you've become 1 with it. That's when you can attempt tricks.

I started skateboarding 2 days ago and i think its going good, i can jump on the board while its moving and im happy about it i have no idea what to do now lol😅
Moving the board around on the tail feels right when I have my right foot forward but standing and pushing off only feels right when my left foot is forward.😅
I cant get on my board and push without stepping on a bannana peel😂 I can only get on my board by sitting and standing with both feet on and then I can go or holding on to something. I just started this month after a long break Haveny skated since 1991. I will get it eventually but hopefully these tips will refresh my 47 year old body 😁🤙
First day down I rode around my barn for about 3 hours mainly just working on footing and balance, surprised how "fast" I was able to move, can kinda do throwdowns. I do way better if I let go of my fear and just go off feel
1 tip:make sure u have the balance bc if u don’t u don’t u could seriously injure urself Oh I also reccomend doing it on grass bc u can’t really skate on gras so teh grass will stop the board from moving
