Wait until you’re able to go up on the ramp and grind. Did a long backside tail grind yesterday and I felt like I could conquer the world lmaooo. Pro tip is to get comfortable going at the ramp FAST. When you go faster you don’t need to use that much effort, it’s just the fear that you have to get over.
I like how both Bruno and VL don't mock the easy tricks as if they're basic, they understand how to break it down and how difficult it can be for beginners. Thanks guys!
Just starting doing them today, and while it is scary it won't be that bad, definitely make sure to drop your upper body with your foot so you don't just hold on your back wheels
@x _ x those ones may be a little easier, but with enough work nosestall revert is pretty easy. Depends on the person, some are naturally good at switch or nollie, so maybe it was easy for him.
Something that helped me to drop in was doing it on a bank and then running to the halfpipe and not looking at the halfpipe because it helps you not over think it
I wish I had your videos when I was leaning vert. It would have saved me a lot of pain and guessing, but through loads of commitment I can 360 aerial. I have found out you can do anything with enough commitment and dedication you can do everything you want to do in life. (not just skateboarding)
I'm sorry but I just do not believe you have those tricks without being able to rock to fakie......You can back disaster, fs smith and fs 5050.....just na..... But if you are legit, stay over your board, with just a little bit of your body weight leaned back, and do a quick, tap in tap out with your front truck on the coping. That is how I learned them, now I have rock-to-fakie's with so much control/speed
Tommy Perry I know, weird but I was never comfortable to go backwards into fakie. It's also weird how I can double kick better than my regular kickflip. But I'll try to get rock to fakie, I need to learn it.
Make the next part of this, please. Your advices are really helpful. Thanks to this I started riding ramps after few years of doing tricks only on the flatground :)
Great tutorial mate -- literally wrote these down and hit up my local park (wrecked myself a few times) but managed to land them all except 180 fly out and NS revert
Today I finally accomplished rock and roll on a ramp, not that high (kinda 4 ft) but still hella happy about it. If you're struggling out there on that trick (or any other), just keep trying and learning from the errors, you'll eventually find success 💯
What the actual fuck! I live in Hawaii and this is my first time to San Diego and Im sitting here on the box right behind the mini ramp in the exact spot you are recording! What are the chances!
1. drop in 2. revert 4. manual to boardgrind 5. manual to BS 50-50 6. step-up further info unavailble becouse i havent watched the whole vid. yet 7. 180 step-up 8. air 9. bs/fs tail/nose 180 10. ollie 180
Thank this helped me a lot and its cool that you guys know that tricks like this can be Hard for begenners😀😀🙏 i love both you channels keep up the good work😀🙏❤️❤️❤️
I've been looking to get better at vert skating. I can only drop in, so I've been looking for ways to learn more, that way I can actually cruise in the mini pipe and not stop after a drop in. Hopefully I'll get these vert tricks in soon.
For me the backside kick turn was easier than dropping in. Doing that first helped me get an understanding of how much weight I really needed to push forward when dropping in
Tyson J same I think it's because when I'm rolling at a quarter I'm already committed to the roll in, but with a drop in I just psych myself out because I have too much time to think
I've only started skating since Christmas and I've only recently attempted to drop in small ramps but since I've successfully done it I've been doing big ramps and I have never failed since then, rails next for me he he
There are lots of people at skateparks who can do most of these and can’t Ollie. Ground tricks and vert are two separate things! I can go down stairs, and do flip tricks, however I came to this video because I’m terrified to drop in and axle.
There is so much more to dropping in than just dropping in. When done wrong you can do the splits with your leading foot still stuck to the board and really get hurt. Plus its as indicate as the ollie. Learn to pump the pipe with no turn until you get your front wheels touch the coping several times. Then roll into your nose stall lifting your back leg. Your momentum puts you easily into the stall. Now you have muscle memory for riding the ramp and dropping in. Coming out of the nose stall turn your shoulders and head towards the pipe. Now your in tail stall position. Use your muscle memory from rolling into your nose stall by doing it in reverse with new head and shoulder position. Bam that's a drop in. Since you know how to pump and the transition is not a stranger now you will risk much less of a chance getting a knee injury a many of us did. Or back in my day when we just touched it out and dropped in until we figured it out...once we finally dropped in we had no idea what to do and ate shit on the other side. Save your knees and enjoy your victory by finishing your run after the drop. Learn to skate the pipe before dropping In!!!!! I and a few friends tore acls learning too quick. Our students have longer skate careers with this method.
Little late but: it looks hard but it actually isn’t once you did a 1. Drop in 2. Rock to fakie you kinda feel the ramp and can do the other tricks a lot easier!! But of course it takes practice to get them consistently :)
@@valeuudiste4664 Is that really true? Because I concussed my head once when I dropped in and I have still such a hard time dropping in 😢 it's horrible. I can only do it in miniramps made out of wood and not too high and even that took me so long to relearn
I lowkey wish I had a skate park as good as that one mine is really bad and everything to drop in is high so it’s hella scary but I wish I could do those tricks looks really fun and this video makes it look twice as fun I wanna commit dropping in
It's PQ! This is basically all I've ever learned on ramps. I'm trying to make all the stalls into grinds and slides now. Another very very easy trick to do on that spine is to ride straight up it and do a blunt/tail stall and drop in on the other side, and progress that with speed to launching straight over.
ive alr been able to do some of these but i learned nose stalls like 2nd try which is surprising, i’ve never rlly been good at mini ramps but i went to my skatepark today and i learned a ton of new tricks based off of this video and the part 2 plus some variations and other tricks
thanks heaps dude! i was trying these without watching a video and fucked up majorly hahaha, your tips have got me thinking of what i should try different, keen to get out there this arvo!
Just so you know bs and fs kickturns might be easier depending on your stance for example I am goofy footed and so I feel more comfortable doing it bs but regular people may think its easier to do it fs
the first time dropping in successfully is the best feeling
actually it's more like: how the fuck did that happend loool
Drew P I just did and it was awesome
Just landed it 3 hours ago and still feel fucking amazing

I’m just inching to steeper grounds
I like how both Bruno and VL don't mock the easy tricks as if they're basic, they understand how to break it down and how difficult it can be for beginners. Thanks guys!
YEAH! thanks man! we appreciate it!
Kyle Bellingham that's I'n San Diego I've been to that slat park
yup PQ was gonna go today but its raining
Kyle Bellingham yeah I agree it makes learning the tricks a lot easier

"At first the drop in is very scary" *anxiety intensifies*
Fergy J I tried yesterday and fell. It was scary!
*anxiety intensifies x2*
I know a guy who really messed up his arm dropping in.
You just gotta really slam your front foot down, once you do it its super easy. The only way you are gonna get hurt is if you lean back
Just starting doing them today, and while it is scary it won't be that bad, definitely make sure to drop your upper body with your foot so you don't just hold on your back wheels
That’s a nice skatepark
Osvaldo Guzman pq skatepark
Search up superior Wisconsin skate park

I was just about to comment. Definitely looks like a great park.
Osvaldo Guzman Wow Wawa wow Wawa wow

The old transworld trick tips from like 98 does

When the only skatepark near you in a 10 mile radius only has one quarter pipe that drops you from 5 ft
uk problems :( luckily im getting a half pipe tho
Life on hard mode
Only 10miles? Mines 35
Better than my local
I broke my ankle doing it on one :/

Something that helped me to drop in was doing it on a bank and then running to the halfpipe and not looking at the halfpipe because it helps you not over think it
This guy rules at the end of this video...really nice dude
hannomack 2016 yep hes flying like a dutchman (hes dutch) if you havent noticed
Very helpful and not condescending on those who can't do much like a lot of tutorials. Good video keep it up :)
The rock fakie. Sprained my wrist doing it once and fell on my butt like 20 times doing it but still love the trick.
I wish I had your videos when I was leaning vert. It would have saved me a lot of pain and guessing, but through loads of commitment I can 360 aerial. I have found out you can do anything with enough commitment and dedication you can do everything you want to do in life. (not just skateboarding)
I can feeble, fs/bssmith, fs/bs 5050, fs/bs Disaster, go into blunt, and willy grind but I cannot even get close to rock to fakie.
Joe TheHoe don't try to pick up your board on the way in...that's what helped me
Dr Neko Arigato, I'll try that next time I skate a minirap!
same with me! rock to fakies are hard
I'm sorry but I just do not believe you have those tricks without being able to rock to fakie......You can back disaster, fs smith and fs 5050.....just na.....

I heard Skateboard bruh and then I saw in the corner “VLSkate” so I was like wtf
You make it look like I can do these very easily. Thanks man you're the best 🙏
I remember when I was 7 I went down a ramp in a penny
I died
Should have learnt forward....
I try to drop off a 3 foot drop when I was seven on a penny board it didn’t go well
How are you alive to text this then?

Great tutorial mate -- literally wrote these down and hit up my local park (wrecked myself a few times) but managed to land them all except 180 fly out and NS revert
Rule #17 of skate: "Your first Drop-in will result in a bail"
@illwoe why you lie :D no respect for yoj.
That’s cause people don’t commit some people commit and lean forward first try
Have someone to hold your hand
illwoe - You absolute GOD.
I got it first try, and then slammed on he 2nd
I watched the video, went skating, and realized u did everything goofy, so I ended up breaking my neck
Dugan Gibson why does it matter if he did it goofy ?
NotSoSavage, I'm jk I did NOT break my neck, and it does not matter because he is 10 times better than me
Well i *actually* broke my ankle, and had to get sugery cus i fucked Up so hard. It's been a few months and just got back in my board today
Malthe Ruddi I broke my leg and I’m back into skating today
I broke my wrist skating like 3 years ago, took me like 1 year to get back on the board.
Watching with subtitles because Im in work. The Nose Stall Revert is showing up as No Soul Reaver. Pretty rockin name lol
did he forget rock and roll
im hip it goes rock to fakie rock n roll then axle
Today I finally accomplished rock and roll on a ramp, not that high (kinda 4 ft) but still hella happy about it. If you're struggling out there on that trick (or any other), just keep trying and learning from the errors, you'll eventually find success 💯
These ramps look perfect and great for learning new stuff on. I've got nothing like this where I live.

hey man i watch alot of skating videos and this one is by far the most helpful thanks
The tail stall is also a good trick to learn when trying the rock to fakie since it sets you up for another drop in.
For me the backside kick turn was easier than dropping in. Doing that first helped me get an understanding of how much weight I really needed to push forward when dropping in
I did a rocky on accident because I was going to fast
lmao
Same! I smashed my head as well, but I did wear a helmet and I was fine after a few minutes.
I reccomend this video sooooo much...it explains sooo easy to understand!
I dropped in on a mega ramp lol FIRST TRIIIIIIIIE
*try
Sameeee
both of the songs you had in the background are fantastic
"You wont learn them all in one day." Says you.
My favourite skateboard creators in one video
roll in is the hardest
Der Disliker just fear like the drop in
crazy, I like to roll in but I never drop in on a mini haha
Der Disliker I think the nose manuel revert is the hardest

You killin it g thanks for the transition tips ❤️🔥
Axle stalls are not very proper. All squint.
Braziling skaters are watching dude! Thanks! helped a lot!
Too bad we don't have good mini ramps in México , I will try them in the bowl :v
I liked it when he got all fancy towards the end of the video!
Could I learn rock to fakie before learning how to drop in
Definitely, I did
I did
I didn’t but it’s still okay I remember my first time dropping in on the mini ramp
F-the System Update: I can drop in now. I can’t rock to fakie but I can rock and rock. Also learned axle stalls yesterday
Hey arnold in the background just brings the vibes lmao
I GO TO THAT SKATE PARK
Wolfee where is that skate park?
No u dont
Yeah same, It’s PQ skatepark
jthsk8 how do you know
Es ist ein sehr informatives Video. Ich danke dir sehr.
what about a feeble? basically a half assed 50. way way easier than a 180 fly out
The first time dropping in on a ramp is a moment of relief
I want to try skateboard
Mary Ann Poli DO IT PLEASE
But i dont have own skateboard :(
I want to learn :)

My two favorite skateboarding TH-camrs in one vid 🤯
did he mix up bs and fs
Bill Eh nope
Bill Eh it seems like it but that's how it is in skating lol makes 0 sense FS should be BS and BS should be FS IMO lol...
My front foot it my left foot, yes it's a little different but gives you an idea anyway
yeh
No
I dropped in for the first time yesterday and today I'm going to try to learn kick turn and rock to fakie and maybe a febbel.

This kickturn is actually rock n roll
I can Ollie a 7 stair and skate rails like a beast but I can't rock to fakie 😂😂😂
That seems to be pretty common. Focus on what you can do and not what you can't do
fuck that push the limits and be the best skater u can. If u want a trick t
Omg sammeee
I can rock to fakie pretty easily and cannot even imagine to get close to drop 7 stairs or boardslide. You wanna swap?
Yay another video you got better!Dont get sick again
Oh...it's a different person I saw a video from you and instantly commited :/ if your still sick get better
Is is good that I slammed my face on concrete while trying to drop in.
Note: I had no expierience whatsoever
Yeah it's good dude 👍. You got worst case scenario so now you know that's the worst and the fear subsides.
Josh Taylor not true. your brain forms a mental block after a traumatic experience. are you 5 or something?

Wow this is the 1st skate park I’ve ever been to & it’s viral that’s dope
Thx so much this really helped me learn the easy steps of skating
Nice video !
plz continue this series !
say hi from Brazil !
I love the fact how you missed the front truck on the first axel stall and did a feeble. but who cares great video man! Keep it up!
thank you, I think it was the berrics that said that a blunt stall was a very easy and fundamental trick
It's PQ! This is basically all I've ever learned on ramps. I'm trying to make all the stalls into grinds and slides now. Another very very easy trick to do on that spine is to ride straight up it and do a blunt/tail stall and drop in on the other side, and progress that with speed to launching straight over.

thanks heaps dude! i was trying these without watching a video and fucked up majorly hahaha, your tips have got me thinking of what i should try different, keen to get out there this arvo!
Just so you know bs and fs kickturns might be easier depending on your stance for example I am goofy footed and so I feel more comfortable doing it bs but regular people may think its easier to do it fs
