In 2007, a COYOTE wandered into a downtown Chicago fast-food restaurant (Quiznos) and sat down in their cooler:

AND...N O W...JAWS:
A HERPETOLOGIST RESCUE TEAM SNATCHED A 5-Foot AMERICAN ALLIGATOR OUT OF THE ONCE EXTREMELY POLLUTED SECTION OF THE CHICAGO RIVER CALLED BUBBLY CREEK (so named "because bubbles once rose from decomposing waste poured into the creek from the old Chicago stockyards").
Fortunately, the Alligator fared a lot better than the Cougar! He even got a name ("White Sox") and became somewhat of an instant celebrity as the Alderman of Bridgeport and other brave souls posed eagerly, albeit CAUTIOUSLY, for a photo opportunity with the wiggling hissing Gator...
