I've watched this tutorial twice now. Have had cows for a couple weeks and just noticed the silage/hay bar. Mine was always full so I didn't think anything of it but how did that go up? There is a place for grass, water, power food, and straw... Is it just telling me how much I have in my silo? Or do they actually need that for something other than power food?
Hey moose where you said to scrape inside the yellow marked area for the cows to get cleanliness to 100%. I've been doing that yet my cleanliness is only 89% round the side where the round pit is for manure I've put it there would that be lowing the percentage at all?
I bought 8 cows and then later bought 4 more but they are not there same for sheep...any feed back on where my 4 cows and 4 sheep are would be great...thanks
Cows are easy in real life, my parents had one ages ago. Just gave him water, ate the grass on the ground, no real work involved. The Devs really went overboard with livestock needs in this game. Should just need water and a single food source.
ok am still tryin to do power food try out what u say but wont take the grass to make it ive try both the auto sucker truck and the one u need a tractor to move it both do not make power food think game might be bugged or am not doin it in right order if meant to be a way even tho i got 60 cows but i want to do the power food thats the only thing i need to do any ideas as bugging me thanks
Moose2006LP Thanks. As with feeding the cows straw do you drop a bale into the trough or do they eat the straw you put down as bedding? I've only fed my cows once and I used the mix.
Moose I play S......, area, the Russian looking one. I have followed every step on getting power food, yet all it does is unload the mixer but no food. I get all green, yet nothing. is there a bug you know of, how can I be the only one, I have tried filling 5 times and not one food category goes up. tried, with everything full and empty, im sooooooo lost and frustrated.
Altec Lancer not sure what your problem is/was if your still playing, but one thing they patched was that machine converted grass into hay, that no longer works. so you need hay, silage and straw to make power food. 🍲
This may be a dumb moment however have you accidently used the force unload button instead of the unload when in the correct area, I haven't tested with this machinery but I know conveyor belts will continuously unload until you stop them.
I'm just starting into getting cows, and I'm trying to make them as easy to care for as possible. I saw in the in-game help screen that it said that cows have highest productivity when fed TMR, does that mean than I don't need to feed them TMR if I don't need them to have highest productivity? Any input would be greatly thanked.

This is a valid question. Due to the modular nature of my tutorials, I decided this was the best route for this specific topic. The only other option I had was creating a 30+ minute tutorial showing everything that is involved in cow management. I would rather my viewers decide what they need help with exactly and then be able to watch a short, concise video on that topic. I am sorry this was not the type of video you were looking for and hope another channel was able to provide you with more help.
@@Filthyslag my point being cows do not have horns, bulls do. If the thing you are tugging on for milk has horns, then its going to be a salty batch of bull nut in your coffee.

They really screwed up on Farm Simulator 17. FS 15 was waaaay more enjoyable. This whole food mixing thing for the cows is a real pain.

your complaining that a simulator is too realistic? cows eat mixed food all the time. ps. FS15 also had power food(mixed rations)

not related to cows but how did you raise your sensitivity? I'm on ps4 and can't find a setting anywhere for it. it's so slow to turn in a circle

I never used it there. Try using a loading wagon instead and see if that at least works.

i have 14 cows and they have water and straw and grass and i keep it clean. can someone tell me why my productivity is only at 28percent?
