I subscribed to you moose because you explain things very clearly, and I was at a time in Farming Simulator 15, I was lost and didn’t know anything. Then I saw your channel when I searched up “Farming Simulator 15 tutorials.”Then I wasn’t lost anymore. :)
Yes, he is VERY precise and clear! 🙂, sometimes i think to myself ok.. 'i already know some of it, get to the piont!!' but....i guess its a good thing he cover everything, better to do that than NOT 🤔. Im wondering if he used to be a teacher or something lol, b/c he does these tutorials as if he was one🤔
Ohhhhhhh and his pronouncation of words is clear and ungarbled!....he doesnt often mess up on anything. Very teacher- like quality.

This is OLD, but it's worth noting the baling flatbed is GREAT... for palettes. I have never put a bale on it, but I use it all the time for putting every random thing I need to move around the town / farm on. It works for trees too, until you get some real logging equipment.
There is a simple mod to auto unload round bales, and in settings if you turn off "Auto Engine Start" when you get out of the tractor (as long as the engine is on) it will continue to wrap the silage bale or continue anything a tractor is connected to. Also thank you for your amazing tutorials!

Thanks for the tip concerning baling straw, then going to hay - where the baler changes the partially baled item automatically - I was just about to buy another baler because I didn't know that!
the bale wrapper does keep going if you leave the engine running!
thanks for the great tutorial, fast and clear. I like square bales more but the square bale stacker doesn't fit in the storage buildings, that's really annoying.

Just noticed tonight when I was wrapping bails for silage.. The silage wrapper continues to run now when you switch tractors or leave the tractor. Don't know if it was a bug they fixed or an update changing it, but you can now walk away or switch tractors and come back. Thought I would give you a heads-up so you can add an annotation or something. Thanks again so much for the great tutorials!
It's because he has the auto start and stop on, so when the tractor turns off, the wrapper stops too.
I have started to do pretty much only Round Silage Bales. THey sell for 1700-1900 per vs. everything else only being a couple hundred!

I have a couple of big fields that produce over 350 bushel of wheat. I've been using round bails thinking they would be easier. Holly crap was I wrong. I'm switching to square bales next time I get on.

the bail wrapper continues to wrap when you leave the tractor now, which is great.
A tip I found out is that if you use a machine without any type of bale spike, a pallet fork will work. For example, there's no bale spike for wheel loaders but the pallet fork works just fine.
Jo, i know i am maybe å bit too late. But I Wonder if i Get more Money from foiling the Hay bails into foiled Plastic hay Bales or IF i Get the most Monet from not foiling them

@Moose2006LP I have noticed that if I turned off the auto engine option the tractor will continue to run after you hop out. Just like what TheDutchCowboy mentioned.

( i mean hay!! ) lol I live in rural canada, anyways i always used to see these round white things everywhere on farmer fields around here, still do & i used to call them marshmellows, b/c they literally look like gaint marshmellows to me! 😂 and i would still like to think that 😋. I bet some farmers would think thats hilarious lol
Anyways... i actually learned something tho from this game, what exactly they really are, 'hay bales' for (likely) feeding the livestock. I would bet that its MOSTLY for feed anyways.. b/c we have a huge farming community here, & im always seeing lots of cows, infact i dont see much of any other animal as much as i see cows.

Actually if you go into your Steam/Farm simulator 17 folder then choose data and then find the vehicles/trailers folder. Look for New Holland1250 then find the XML file and edit the file with notepad. Do a find for Round Bails "false" and change it to true.. Guess what it will shoot out bails automatically ROUND! no more opening and closing one bail at a time!! Oh yeah!

If you can afford it and want to make bales! There's really no "beginner" or "advanced" part of this game. Just play how you want! :)

I have a question about the grass field, I know they changed some things since FS15 when it comes to sowing grass on your field. But don't really know what changed. Can you fertilize it for more grass? Is it possible to revert the field back without having to Plow and create fields option enabled? Thank you. Love the tutorials.
You still don't fertilize. Someone commented today and said you can just cultivate it back to normal instead of plowing. Haven't tested it yet though.

Hi moose, I've just recently brought fs17 on ps4 and currently playing lone oak farm. I've currently clocked 150hrs, at the start I didn't have season's on and did a load of grass bales for my sheep, now I've season's on and now I just noticed that that sheep bales have disappeared, do bales disappear?

What is the difference between round bales and square bales?
BryceEvolution nothing really.... Square bale collector holds more bales, and the with the square baler, you don't need to stop for the bale to be released
And silage wrapper only works on round.
Square nails are easier to handle especially if on a slope. In this instance, place an implement downhill of them so that they are blocked.

Probably a dumb question but what's the point in bailing if you can pick up grass directly?
Up to your play style and it comes from the past Farming Sims when you couldn't pick stuff up and drop it off wherever. I actually started preferring bales because it was tidier.
For role-play. I do it cause for consoles there was no place to store loose grass hay and straw. There is now but I prefer the actual work.

For some reason silage bales sell for a lot. It seems to be fixed price unrelated to the selling price of silage at the biogas plant.
I noticed you got $1960 for the wrapped hay, how much would you get for wrapped grass? It should give the same price since it sees both as silage right? Thanks for the videos.

Hello! Do you download or buy Farming simulator 17 yourself? If you download for free, can you teach? And on Farming simulator 18 I build a small trick filled round roll machine with 98% straw and then 2% grass and I had a grass roll
Anyone had trouble completely emptying a silo? I used the roller to go around all walls, inside and out, with no luck.
So you can do even grass bales (not only hay bales)??? And if yes, can those grass bales be used such as hay bales (to make tmr)??? And if that machine does silage bale by wrapping a bale (grass or hay) why bother making a hay? You can simply skip tedding the grass and bale it immediately to save the time - or am I wrong? Thnx
Pavel Jelínek tethering it helps get it in line for baling to decrease the time it takes to bale it
You get more product out of hay than grass.
Using a windrower to form the material into windrows is what saves the time, tedding doesn't windrow, it only flips the grass so that it dries out into hay.
