So I was watching your other video on power food. and saw you had a video on belts, figured I would check it out since I have not played with them yet. I am so glad I saw this video. I am making silliage at the biogas farm since I had a bunch of excess grass, Over a millions units of it. The first batch was ready. and so I started loading it. Well the scoop only holds like 1800 units. So that would have been several hours of dumping silliage. So I was saving up for the large front end loader with 8,000 capacity. But after seeing this video. Well that just saved me $250,000 on a new front end loader.

Regarding the silage conveyor system, it works for me at first. However once it has sucked up the silage closest to the belt, I find it extremely hard to push more silage towards it. I either end up with a giant heap somewhere in the middle, that my tractor eventually gets stuck on, or it just flattens the silage rather than pushing it toward the belt.
love all of your videos spent a lot of time trying to figure stuff out and found your videos, they are much better than most i have seen. would like to see more of the equipment you use. have to stop the video and look at them pretty hard to figure it out some times. but all in all great videos.
Idk why I haven't seen a lot of people reference this method but I find it way easier to use the largest loading wagon and a powerful tractor to scoop up the silage. Not only does the silage gather extremely quickly making a full trailer in seconds but it also saves the headache of getting your belt system to work every time you need to re adjust. If you find yourself getting stuck on the silage while loading just use Shift+H/N to unstuck yourself. easy

My dad works at a place called farmers plus where they sell seed and farm equipment , its insane how accurate this game really is, its down to a tee, he was naming off the stuff even before i showed it to him, he knew what alot of it did & had some of the same equipment in the store 😄. Anyways, gotta try this belt stuff out! it just looks really neat, just watching it haha. Btw if anyone wants to know any of the known Canadian brands in it from my neck of the woods☺️ (CASE) is one , new holland, jonsered, husqvarna, stihl , massey fergusson, krone, kverneland & McCulloch) Those are the ones my parents reconized anyways, all i reconized was CASE from seeing it in home depo's and Canadian tire lol. Anyways lota to choose from. Glad to see we are in this in some way, and its not ALL U.S brands 🤔
Just watch the high demand and max out your yield , just store it in your silo until something is on high demand , Besides that , ( plow if turned on in options ) cultivate , fertilize , wait for grow , fertilize again , ( you can do it 3rd time ) then you get 100 % yield ( dark orange ) , So simple said : Wait for High demand :)
Great demand isn't always the best price so always double check your options before you sell. However a great demand price will not go down till it's over but I have seen a great demand price rise as I sell.
Managing those bunker piles is a whole lot more difficult. First time I piled it in I got the mower and trailer stuck on the apex of the pile. I suppose if silage isn't the money maker it used to be I may just leave it out. However, that belt system you showed is fantastic! That way you don't hafta keep coming back to add shovels into that hopper. Cool!
the thing that makes potato boxes you are meant to tip a trailer into not use a belt. also you can put the belt under where the potato boxes spawn and turn of the potato box function to empty a trailer of potato ore sugar beet and put it on to a belt
Great video. I believe you can actually attach some belts together hence the ball hook on them. Youd have to go back in your last belt and i believe press attach. Shame they are quite slow but for autonomous animal feeding it's brilliant.
Hey Moose, I love all your tutorials. Thank you for all the time it takes to make these. Been a farm sim fan since farm sim 2013 and I've never made silage. Never had cows either, so I found a use for the silage now. Just bought 30 sheep, and 40 pigs. I'll have to grow potatoes. :) Or just buy pig food :P
Hi Moose, or actually I should say gidday mate from down under, I have to say I have been watching a few different people on youtube regarding farm Sim as I became addicted to it about 18 months ago with 2015 version, since then, I basically only watch 2 people that actually explain things on these simulators, and sorry to say but you came in first as the one to watch. doing these tutorials has helped me big time and I want to thank you for this, would be really cool if you could set up a multiplayer server to play with you, which if you have then der to me, but the problem would then be the lag from aussie land, but I don't care cause I think it would be fun, so thanks heaps mate and keep up the awesome fun job, and maybe put a pic of your setup with you next to it :) Cheers Mate

Have you ever had the silage not empty all the way? No matter where i drive the conveyor, there is no silage that comes up, but it says i still have some in there... So i cant add more grass to create new silage.. Any tips?
Pretty sure a lot of the silage stuff is broken at the moment (as clearly seen in my silage tutorial). Hopefully they'll start patching this soon since it's been out for a couple weeks by now.
I did what you did Moose but it dosnt work iut wont unload from bio gas it happened when i was making a video very frustrating... Anyone know how to fix this? is it a bug??
Moose, I'm having trouble hooking up to the sl80. I got it to attach to the ground belt, but now I can't detach it nor can I attach a truck or tractor to the ground belt. Any suggestions?

For anyone playing on Xbox, its pretty much required to do so, because that's the device you use to link to the one closer to the source, and not all the onscreen button prompts are listed. (Example: exit vehicle is not shown as [X] for one part, Small trailer-hitch connects them with [A] for another) Thanks man. Pretty helpful.
I might need to ask if you have help on the small woodgrinder, because that's what I'm trying to accomplish with belts. For some reason. I can't make it operate unless I'm in an attached tractor, but then who's putting logs in? Get out to put logs in, grinder stops. (Equipment: HM 4-300, Heizomat, yellow and green, pipe out, tow-behind, loads from the passenger side $28k)
Anybody know how to take the skip out of the belt system. Mine sometimes works intermittently (start one second, stop one second). It's a little annoying when I need money to buy things.
That sounds like the hopper is full, the hoppers have a limited capacity and will not accept more until they have chewed through some of their current contents.
I don't know! I've tried everything with all different angles and nothing seems to change. Not sure if broken or I'm not using it in the correct instance for the angle to matter.
Teun Wich the angle is for creating large piles, it rotates the belt to back a larger circular pile. once a regular pile gets too high, the belt stops dumping
Great video once again, I was staying away from them cause I didn't really know how to use them but when I make silage I'm buying a few for sure now.

you can tip trailers into the Bigger Belt; thats why there's a large hole in the back. I real life they're used to load potatoes into graders/washers!

You don't have to use the buckets to receive from another belt, you can place the dropper over any part of the belt and it'll work the same.

Thank you for this tutorial. Unfortunately I have a hell of a time trying to push the silage forward with the leveller towards the belt.
I ended up just re-positioning the belt system every so often. Only had to do it two or three times for an entire bunker and didn't take long at all.

You should be able to hold it above the pig trough to unload it. Not sure how to sell them because I'll never use them.

You don’t “need” the conveyers to load them onto the pallet belt. I am using the beet loader vehicle

When in the large conveyor belt, it gives you an option to change angle from 5-50 deg. when pressing L1 and triangle. What is this ?

Try detaching from within the ground belt instead. You don't need to attach them to get them working, by the way.

Just get the round baler otherwise it's the same process as square bales except you have to manually unload it when it's full.

Teun Wich you can, it just spreads your pile out more rotating at those degrees. its more for dirt, wood chips, stuff like that in real life
