    The other cars were just incidental! The real fight was between driver and car, between power and grip (which seems to have gone on holiday for this event) every slight squeeze of throttle elicited a nasty twitch that needed correcting!
    An epic demonstration of how to drive right on the ragged edge of what is possible on a difficult day. Let's face it, if you don't go beyond the limit now and again, how will you know you are on it?
    Can't work out if Ollie Bryant is a tad smoother or if Jake Hill was just giving an extra couple of %!

      I can only imagine the difference in having a completely dry surface vs. a damp surface would have out there. Unfortunately someone forgot to turn off the tap...

      @@culcune Years ago I attended a trackday at Goodwood with one of the Triumph owners clubs, the day wasn't just a bit damp in patches, it was positively waterlogged and STILL tipping it down. I didn't have more than 1/10th of the power of a Cobra in my ancient 1600cc Vitesse powered Herald estate, yet still had huge difficulty gaining and keeping traction. And downshifting to 2nd for the chicane had the rear wheels momentarily locking up, no matter how carefully I tried to match revs. With a nasty sideways twitch to go with it! Still, it was SO wet that I was actually keeping up with cars a lot more powerful than mine that had even less traction available!

      @@dezartsean6059 That's a silly question. One, the camera angle and glare from the screen mean you can't see the marshal posts easily, and two, bear with me on this, that's not how you use a blue flag. Blue flags during races are for showing slow traffic they are about to be lapped by the leader(s). So, you aren't going to see any blue flags during the early phases of a race because nobody is getting lapped. Unless there's a problem.
      Oh, and there are race stewards, and penalties applied where appropriate.

      @StarkRaven59 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@dezartsean6059 I get it, just a small bit of exception at your phrasing. Nearly everybody uses blue flags and post-race steward reviews, so we're all ponces save maybe the Nascar guys. Yeah, F1 is extra poncy, but we've known that for a long time.
