අයියලා winch කරන විදිය නම් safe මදි. Winch කරනකොට winch dampener එකක් use කරා නම් තමයි හොඳ. අනිත් එක තමයි winch එක ගහට දාන්නේ නැතුව tree trunk protector එකක් දාලා ඒකට winch hook එක දාන එක තමයි හොඳ. 9:40 වගේ තැන් වල double line pull එකකට මාරු වෙන එක තමයි හොදම. එතකොට winch එකට තියෙන load එක ගොඩක් අඩු වෙනවා. ඒ වගේම තමයි winch cable එකේ load එකත් අඩු වෙනවා. අනිත් දේ තමයි 7:50 වගේ තැන් වල angle එකකින් winch කරනකොට winch එක rub වෙනවා. අයියාගේ winch rope එක synthetic rope එකක් නිසා ඒකට වෙන damage එක අඩු කරගන්න පුළුවන් නම් winch rope එක යටට ඉටිකොලයක් වගේ තියන්න. එතකොට අවුලක් නෑ. 👍

We know that wasn't the right thing to do. If you watched the video you might have heard we were talking about the tree truck protector too. But unfortunately we lost one on another track we went on previously and couldn’t find the other one after using that too.
Even when Menake’s car was half way up you might have seen us looking for it at the back.
Not trying to give excuses but just saying that we wanted to do the right thing as well.
But we were in a wrong place at the wrong time with few missing important items.
Also we didn’t have a recovery point installed on the vehicle to double up the winch. That was a huge loss. On another track when we doubled up the winch we used the recovery point on bullbar and that bent the bullbar on that occasion. So that’s why we couldn’t do it here. Otherwise we had the block.
@@GUTDGrip you guys should carry a spare tree trunk protector before entering to this part of the world. Anyway, mistakes happen. That's the nature. But, recovery point are must aye! 🤙
@@wheeler981 Of course we did have that. Just couldn't find.
Its pretty simple from the viewers point of view to see things in certain ways but when you actually doing a 3 month trip in the bush, living in the vehicle and also in a track like this with very limited access to our own vehicles to find things, it’s not simple as it looks.
Either way it’s our fault that we couldn’t use it this time.
We will answer all your questions from a video after this track is done.
Coz it’s difficult to explain certain things by writing.
@@GUTDGrip yeah mate, but a recovery kit is a must have on these tracks. Just added this comment for your own safety. If the winch hook has failed, no excuses for your life...
