Did the one on my Honda. One thing I would recommend is pulling the fuse for the horn instead of disconnecting the battery that way you don't have to reset your radio. 2006 Accord emblem was tough to find as well
I just took mine off the other day. I had taken the airbag off the car. You're right about using the butter knife. Took me about an hour to get the old one off. I didn't want to mess the leather.
i removed the one on my tl and it was not easy but, i used a heat gun. i think i would of been better off using a ladies hair dryer ... the heat gun can melt things..
pochoun33137 Thanks man, let me know if you find an easy way. I found some complete horn covers for around 85$ but not sure if I want to go that route yet
NICE THAT EMBLEM FIT IN THERE PRETTY NICELY I NEED ONE FOR MY FORD ESCAPE HOPEF IT WILL BE AS EASY AS U MADE IT SEEM. GOOD VIDEO. THANKS FOR THE TIP ILL DEFENATLY UNPLUG THE BATTERY.
Hey man great vid. I just got my emblem in the mail today and I noticed you used glue. Don’t seem like you’d have too knowing your popping it back in place
It looks like during manufacturing the plastic is melted in the rear holes of the emblem adhering it to the steering wheel..think of popping it in like a Lego but then sodering the back holes. That's why I used glue to help it adhere
My only options are wish, aliexpress and dhgate and I dont buy from any of those. I have a 2012 Acura TL that I bought black rims for(19" Flow One F5) so I had to get black center caps for them. Since ebay had them I bought 2 sets(one set was used like new the other was new) so all in all I have 8 center caps all of which turned out to be really good condition. Im curious how close the center cap emblem is to my steering wheel emblem... mine is white and a bit of an eyesore for me since I have 2 android headunits in my dash and the emblem is the final touch
Its honestly completely different unfortunately. The center piece for the steering wheel is literally a small plastic mold and the wheel center cap is one complete piece...I thought that also previously haha
@@zarekgalicia5322 Be honest with you i searched for a while. Idk if can be ordered from a dealer but you may have to do some research. I found it on Ebay, EVENTUALLY ☹
Unfortunately to get to those buttons you have to take off the airbag....disconnect batter for about 20-35 minutes to let the car discharge. Then on side of steering wheel there are 2 panels. Take those off and locate screws and also the airbag hexbolts(unscrew) on side of steering wheel.
Need to paint it ahead of time...I dont know the actual answer but I am assuming during production the backing holes of the plastic emblem are melted on because when i took it off the backing were in ball form like the were melted from the back
@@MrWayne-wq5ep if what you're suggesting is you done have a replacement then I wouldn't take it out and do the masking tape and newspaper method, otherwise you can try to heat up and take out with a butter knife carefully. I had a replacement so I just ripped it out with a butter knife in general.

Good luck fellas, and Great Video man. Did you you do the interior LED lights video yet ??? I just put Blue LED'S on mine and it really makes a difference ! Peace
For the amount of time from when I changed this, it would not look terrible if I didn't wind up scratching it recently lol I am currently changing again...new link for product posted on video.
Bro I am in the middle of doing my Acura TL steering wheel emblem on my 2012 Acura TL and it just does not want it back in whatsoever and oh my God it was a pain in the balls to get out it was like really stuck inside there with these rubber pieces anchor inside the steering wheel if you know what I mean
Ernesto Soto Meaning that, that emblem is a "stick on" or plug in pieces like all the other symbols on the car, so you should be able to pry it off like I did.
Anthony Majano I searched ebay and it was there. If not try this site and call them...its an actual acura dealer.... acuraoemparts.com Delray Acura, FL
Edwin Garcia predicando I literally found the one. I couldnt find it on anything like acuraoemparts.com either unless im blind. i literally went on ebay and there was one there :/
A bit bootleg, considering he used a metal butter knife but hey ! at least he's made the effort to help people. And a bit of advice. Don't buy a Nissan or Infiniti unless it was made in Japan. You'll know if it was because the VIN will start with a J. Carlos Ghosn ran a sh!t show of garbage quality cars manufactured with the intent to profit as much as possible neglecting quality. Now he's in Japanese prison for basically screwing Nissan over by corrupt motives. The Z cars and GTR are fine as they were made in Japan. Altimas and Murano blow. Avoid them at all cost.
Well I believe I explain and show what I did which is the exact same concept...if you can't figure that out I don't know what to say for you as a person 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Yea, that’s what I’m here for... the removal 😂 popping it in is pretty self explanatory. BUT... he did explain how to do it so, that’s a thumbs up! My thing is tho, if you super glue this one, how are u gonna get it out if it starts looking f🤬d up and u wanna change it??
Do not do it the way this guy has. You will damage the cover. Instead take the airbag off(2 t30 screws) them remove the cover(pulls off over 6 tabs) and cut the melted areas holding it on and reinstall by pushing on emblem from front and melt the prongs one by one(I used a lighter to heat just slightly and pushed with the back of the lighter to compress plastic. Do not use glue. That's why it comes with prongs on the back. Looks factory installed doing it this way
Don't listen to this guy! Unless you are a moron like he most likely is, you will not damage anything if you are careful. There is no point to taking everything apart with a little patience.
Did the one on my Honda. One thing I would recommend is pulling the fuse for the horn instead of disconnecting the battery that way you don't have to reset your radio. 2006 Accord emblem was tough to find as well
No you do want to disconnect the battery. You don’t want the airbag to blow up and ending up with a butter knife in your eye.
you tryna kill people lol?
Got a carbon fiber dipped one from H2O creations now a days.
?? link pls

Yes most work in general on a 2004-2008 TL is the same.

zarek Galicia I think so, got mine this week, will try later today
I wonder if it is the same for a 2013 Acura TL
I would assume...it's simply a glued on emblem on most cars
Definitely do not remove your emblem on your steering wheel on a 2012 Acura TL because they are impossible to pop back in
Lol thanks
Are there deeper prongs on the back of them emblem, or do they break off?
Do you know how to remove the plastics and buttons on the steering wheel?

Hi, I really appreciate your video, its useful. Can I ask where you did get the emblem? I tried to find it online but there's none that fits my cacura

not really related to the video, but do you know if the 3 spoke steering wheel from the 08 TL would fit on an 06 TL?
It should...just about all parts of an 04'-08' are interchangeable.

Do you know if that would work for a Lexus is250?
Ernesto Soto I can only make the assumption but most steering wheels are made the same and it's just a stuck on decorative piece in the end.
mikeymike8181986 I’ve gone everywhere and they say I have to change my airbag Juss to get the logo
Ernesto Soto Google your steering wheel emblem and see what comes up...they most likely all pry off the steering wheel
mikeymike8181986 what do you mean by that ?
Ernesto Soto Meaning that, that emblem is a "stick on" or plug in pieces like all the other symbols on the car, so you should be able to pry it off like I did.
