Was looking into swapping out the stock fender for the blue myself, it looks fantastic! Did you guys use the 2020 S1000R San Marino Blue fender or paint over the stock part? I believe that S1000R part is interchangeable but not sure...
@@RideQuick Looks way better with the fender and flanks painted. Now that Ive seen how good it looks, Ill probably do the same on my F900R (also blue). The SC with DB Killer was kinda disappointing. But thats due to the very strict laws in europe.
Yes. It was a letdown to hear. But the intention was to always pull the db killer out. We left it in long enough to make the video. It is our service mgr's personal bike.
Just noticed in the end of vid, did you put the rubber grommet on top of the rear of exhaust? I´ve had both blackwidow and lextek exhausts and the piece of rubber on those hides the screw you use to remove the baffle/db killer.....
HI, maybe you can help me. I have the same exhaust on my F900R and I don't know how to access the dbkiller screw, how did you access it exactly? Thank you
Step one: Be brave. Step two: Be committed to removing it Step Three: You'll need a drill bit-Gotta go through the blindside of the carbon fiber end cap. Step Four: Measure and approximate where the allen head bolt is based on where you see the end protruding on the inside of the db killer. Step Five: Masking tape the spot to drill and keep rpms up as you drill. Do a starter punch first so the bit doesn't walk. Step Six: If successful, you should see the head of the bolt. If you do, great! Step Seven: The hard part; pulling out the db killer. It is in there TIGHT! A slide hammer helps. Good luck.
The sc project looks ok, but the sound is rubbish, there is basically no difference between stock and paying all that money for it. The only 2 exhausts that sound really nice are the arrow and akrapovic.
You're mistaken by about... a lot. There is a big difference. The audio captured in this video doesn't represent that. We'll work on getting a better capture. It is considerably louder and deeper once the db killer is removed.
@@RideQuick yes exactly with the dB killer out, and in a lot of countries its illegal to ride with it out, so with the dB killer in it sounds no different to stock as you clearly pointed out and other videos have. The Akrapovic and Arrow piss all over the sc project with their dB killers in, they don't have to be removed to sound good (supposedly)
Straight piping is the best sounding for this F900r I heard so far...
Thanks 👍🏾
Exhaust looks cool i expected it to sound better than that tho.
Did you watch the whole video? It's deep, throaty and still not obnoxious.
@@RideQuick yes i watched the whole video to me it sounded like a stock exhaust maybe its my ear.
Wow this is so cool
I want one for my f900r 👍😎
Get one! We can get it for you. Let us know.

No. We had a body shop match & paint it. Look close and you'll see the headlight flanks are blue also! Since they already mixed the paint n' all...
@@RideQuick oh nice, didn’t even notice those additional blue accents!
It's his personal bike.

We added that to plug the hole drilled in the carbon to remove the db killer.

@@RideQuick thanks!!! ✊🏻✊🏻
Good exhaust sound👍
We think so too!
what is the San Marino blue piece beneath the engine, changes the look entirely! where can I get one?
It's an engine spoiler. We sell them and we ship also. 843-554-4600.
Sounding more like a Ducati. You guys need to record accelerating up the road the other way. Next time ha. 👌🏼
Working on another video.
I kinda like the stock exhaust on mine. It looks good and sounds good. This is a nice pipe tho.
What happens if you remove the catalyst?? Sounds better? Any problem to the engine?
The catalytic was removed (obviously), yes, it sounds better and no harm to the motor.
HAD to take the catalyst off my R1, almost u rideable in summer with the heat melting my legs
Got the same bike, anyone know where to get a fender eliminator kit for the rear with integrated rear lights?
New Rage Cycle says that they are working on it and will be available, "early '21"
Is that stock tyre
Yes. Bridgestone.
Decat is a must, sounds too muffled
is it just me or does it sound the same ?
Probably just you. There's an obvious difference between stock sound and the DB killer removed.
@@RideQuick yeah no shit sherlock that there is gonna be difference if you remove db killer xD But with just slipon swap it sounds the same
Then, your comment should have been more clear to that point, because that's not what you said. Words matter.
@@RideQuick ah true, sorry for being rude
It's just you. There was an obvious difference once the DB killer was removed.
Me lembrei de Siqueira Jr agora kkk
Looks better than it sounds, not much better than BMW sound.
Once we pulled the db-killer out, sounded way different. Just didn't get picked up with the audio.
Sounds pants
It’s still a hairdryer 😔
?? Explain?

Oh. That is an important distinction to make. Yes, db killer in, it isn't much different; slightly deeper under a load. You are correct.
Naaaaaa
🙄🤔 That doesnt thrill me at all, all the money, all the hard work process to get the DB killer out... and even so nothing special in my opinion.
What were you expecting, exactly?
@@RideQuick a much deeper sound,a bit more pops.
It is deeper and throatier. Just can't tell from the video. Mic on the phone doesn't capture the fidelity well.
