How to install the Akrapovic Carbon Slip-On Exhaust for a BMW F900R!

Here's how to install an Akrapovic Slip-On exhaust for your BMW F900R. All sections of the process are detailed to make it easy to follow along.
The bike: 2023 BMW F900R
Tools needed~
- Torx 30
- Torx 40
- Torx 45
- 10mm wrench
- 13mm wrench
- 10mm socket
- 13mm socket
- 1/4" or 3/8" Ratchet; whichever works better for you
OPTIONAL: Thread locker
OPTIONAL: Spring puller

Thanks for the video, I bought the same bike last fall. I’ve added bar end mirrors, a short windscreen, bar risers, and a Corbin seat for longer trips. My last mod probably will be an exhaust this summer.

No power commander required?
I had a pair of big bore after markets on my R1 and it kept stalling without the commander.

Nope! It's just the muffler slip-on, the bike has the stock cat converters farther up in the header pipe so there's no actual change to exhaust flow. Even with a full exhaust system these run perfectly fine on stock tune. I'm sure power commander would still benefit though.

I would like to thank you for this video. I am picking my F900 in a few days and I just cant decide what can to put on it. This one sounds and looks bloody awesome. I now cant decide between this or the MIVV.

If you don't mind coughing up the extra money to get the Akrapovic it's a fantastic exhaust to add. The MIVV systems are way cheaper and sound really good, honestly I'd recommend going down that route some of them even look nice. Unless of course again money is no problem.

How is the mivvv system compared to this? Read that the acrapovic improves torque/hp more than Mivv does, but is it a noticable change?
