India is going through a climate crisis! In some parts, extreme heat is causing bats to drop dead and people to suffer. In Delhi, temperatures hit record highs, with devastating consequences, including the deaths from heatstroke. In other regions, like the northeast, heavy rainfall and cyclones are causing severe floods and landslides. As climate change intensifies, India faces a future of more frequent and severe heatwaves, unprecedented storms, rising sea levels, and widespread desertification. Despite the escalating dangers, the government remains largely silent, failing to address the urgent need for action. With 90% of India's population at risk, particularly the poor and those who work outdoors, the crisis is deepening, yet it barely makes headlines or political discussions. But how big is this problem and why is our government silent? Let's find out in this video.

Government of India has already taken some steps. Government has focused more on Renewable Energy like Solar, Hydrogen, Wind.
Recently Government has announced PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. It's not a traditional freebies Scheme. It's empowering people to produce own green Energy.
There are multiple Mega, Mid Size, Small Solar Energy Project has under construction in the country. Presently the cost of Production of Solar Energy has come down. The installed solar energy capacity has increased by 30 times in the last 9 years and stands at 84.27 GW as of May 2024. It is growing and growing.
In the first Cabinet meeting of present Government of India, Cabinet approved Rs 7453 Cr offshore Wind Energy Project in Tamilnadu and Gujarat.
Hydrogen is the future. Presently the cost of Production of Hydrogen is higher. But new technologies are coming to reduce cost. Every country including Gulf, China and others are looking forward for Producing Hydrogen Energy. India would one of the leader in Hydrogen Production due to availability of Water and lots of Sunshine. India has huge Sea shore.

One way to reduce urban heat island effect is planting more trees and creating green spaces in cities as buffer zones to combat the heat and pollution. But our Indian cities lack proper planning. @@Aayushdhakbro. Most of the population in india is either uneducated or unaware or ignorant when it comes to things like saving water, pollution, throwing trash etc.
Unko dekh ke bache bhi yahi sikhenge.
Here's my take on What we should do.
1.) one year compulsory community service after twelfth class for every student.(Managing trash , making people aware, getting assignments related to these , compulsory work as a kachrewala .(gully wise duty). This will encourage the youth to manage waste and be more responsible since not everyone is like people in Indore.
2 .) govt. should acquire the unplanned nagars /cities and build high-rises and move people to those. Thus, the rest of the land can be used to plant micro forests.
I know the second one is not possible but at least I can dream of that ideal world.

Here the process to convert land status from agriculture or forest to industry or residence is so much difficult that sometimes it takes 50 years and most of the times it is not even possible. Even big cities also have forest and so many trees within city. When I visit India, my heart pains seeing mindless construction in Ahmedabad. There are no laws or regulations. It is just endless greed. The government allows to construct buildings almost anywhere and everywhere. We can never compare India with any developed and well planned country and things are not improving. Actually it is getting worst day by day.

Even after strict laws on stubble burning? Does anyone follow laws in India? Noise pollution, air pollution is due to attitude to people of this country. The same people won't flout rules in dubia, usa coz they know they would be heavily penalised.

@@amankhanna6471 I live in punjab, if you come here, you will see that every person breaks the rules in the mohali area. They hit gas on the red light, go over the speed limit etc. But as soon as people enter chandigarh, their attitude changes. Because they know that they will be fined if they do those things in chandigarh. I have travelled from delhi to chandigarh many times and from haryana side also the problem is same. Basically what you said is absolutely correct. I think that the government should start STRICTLY fining and focus on improving the imposition of the existing laws. That is the only way to control the public now.

The situation is getting worse day by day & we are turning away. Installing ACs will not help, we need more planning & process to mitigate. Govt has to look into & do something. People need to ask Government to listen to them if they are aware only or else we have to pay very very big price.

The common man can only do so much. It is the responsibility of the govt to raise awareness, promote environment friendly activity to the masses. But they ignore the issue or sideline it as non critical. This is the main message of the video, we as people of India should voice our concerns with the govt.

We can't reverse this as it's too late but we can use these things for our benefit by expansion of solar farms and rain water harvesting as well as creating artificial valleys to store extra water in case of flooding.
