Correction: The 1/4 mile result should read 13.96s @ 171.6km/h. Apologies.
Was about to say that's a bloody decent back ender to trap 205 😂
Seems strange it the slowest out of all the 2 litre N car you have tested. Hell my kona n can get close to flat 5 seconds by the onboard (0-98 really).
@@DefiantMacca Yeah and this has the widest tyres and probably the best aero of the lot - it's weird. I've achieved 5.19 or something in the hatch. It is summer at the moment, though. I'll try again in a few months.
Lol, I was thinking, that things good for 10s 😂
I was going too say ...... 13.9 @205kmph 😂
Loving your reviews, you and the car sauce do the best reviews😊
Thanks a lot!
Such a great and to the point review!
Thanks 🙏
Good to see the channel back under a new name. I was wondering what was going on.
Thanks - sorry about ghosting the old channel. Plenty of good stuff to come 👍
Great video
Thanks!
Very good looking car, the only car I would think of replacing my 380. But I am all talk. Must be fun as a manual. Great review.
I would rather these seats with ventilation than what we get in North America. Nice car!!
Korean made is the best hyndai.

'Avante' naming sound cooler than the 'Elantra' we have in america fr
Same. My biggest gripe is the not so comfortable seats we get in the US. Still love the car though.
@@n-power-automotive is the seats aren't for all body types, I love them! I did a road trip from Chicago to Tennessee...no problems😇
I love this beauty! Wow
I imported the EU Kona N forged rims, Love them, suck we got diff rims but US rims still look nice. I like the new look although I'm not the market for it, I prefer hatchbacks or lean more towards something like the BMW M2 Comp if I couldn't get a hatchback. Looks like a great ride.
Beautiful car. ❤️🔥
Nice.
I have owned a 2020 VZ a 2022 EN a 2023 KN and a 2023 EN
They all ride harsh and the seats in the EN are awful but look nice.
IMO if they would through the Sonta N line seats in the EN in the states I would be sold again!
Also where are our turn signal cameras?
Is the Red N Break Pads come as standard inclusion as well for the 52K price before driveaway?
I wish Hyundai cud have given all-wheel drive as an option for both i30n n Sonata....
Price bro
Just need rwd
Which version dct version did you review was it with the sunroof or without a sunroof? The sunroof version might be contributing to the extra weight.
Yes that certainly adds but it’s mostly the transmission.
The 2024 is like 60kgs heavier than the 2023.
Most of the differences you're feeling are in the lighter forged wheels. Did you drive the 2023 and 2024 back to back or have you come out of a hatch beforehand or something because the pre face lift sedan n is very soft in suspension and completely livable
Why are you on every EN video known to mankind? Go touch grass son.
The i20n would need about $4k of drivetrain mods and on point gear shifting by the driver to get anywhere near the performance of a dct Elantra N.
Can u review the new skoda superb?
Yep, we’ll see what we can do 👍
Thanks for your request.
Seems like the same amount of wheel hop from a dig as the pfl
The sound reminds me of the mitsu evo 4g63
Actually the engine is a refined version of 4B11
@@bryanliu727 ahh right, yeah just googled it. What a great sounding 4 that was/is
If you had to choose between this and the hatch what would you get? I just got a hatch and waited a year for it. This was when I thought ICE N cars were gone for good. I do love the hatch though, but I wonder if I should have just waited.
I've had both. The sedan x1000 , way more livable and premium inside.
@@mharro88 The sedan is definitely more premium inside, I have no issues living with the hatch though day to day. I personally prefer the hatch wheels, hatch full sizes sunroof, light bucket seats, smaller car and resale value of the hatch. Each to their own! The only thing that would sway me is if driving dynamics were that much better.
@@rover1374 the hatch wheels are the same as this ... Just gray not black. Bucket seats are uncomfortable. The dynamics actually are that much better. It's a newer lighter superior platform. More tail happy and compliant suspension. Even the steering is more direct with better feel.
@@mharro88 I prefer the grey wheels on the hatch compared to the black. The black are certainly better than the old sedan and still nice. I love the seats, to me they are comfortable and I love the bolstering they provide. I didn’t buy this car to be comfortable. I have a bucket seat for my sim rig and I’d choose them every time. I’ll have to watch a few more reviews and maybe test drive one. From what I’ve seen so far not many would be able to pick the driving dynamic differences by feel rather than them being night and day as you say.

Cool.. This or the WRX for a family all rounder? Thanks
This is more hardcore, better driver’s car, more exciting. WRX is great for everyday and for travelling etc. And a bit safer with AWD.
Hope that helps.

I love my I30N, but the Elantra N and the Veloster N look so good.
A shame that they aren't sold in Europe.
In Europe, it is sold in i30n (sedan).
Great looking car, still hate what they did to the rear end
I agree. It's not horrible, but it's not attractive either. When I get mine I may have to remedy that issue with paint or a wrap.
Hard to hear how much wheel hop there was. Didn't seem to wheel hop at all on some of those launches?
It is noticable on one of the in car videos. There was at least one solid bang. But overall hard to tell if it's better or the same as before.
@@nigel_white Having driven both it's basically the same. Get yourself some purple flex bushings , I eliminated mine in the pfl
yep, pitch mount bushing will generally be enough, makes a world of difference@@mharro88
I get that these are fwd cars, but the 0-100 on these can vary wildly!
Surface condition plays a massive part
especially with octane learning!
Informen por favor
So the 23 model is quicker? I have a stock 23 Dct. Best 0-100 time is 5.1secs. Stock Elantra N's in USA are doing 4.8secs 0-60mph so similar to mine.
It would be same. Same engine and same power.
The new model is about 35kg heavier. Aside from that it should be the same 👍
North America don't have spare tire and it have bucket seats so it will be lighter than this i30 N.
@@HelpMePls12no it won't. This N has forged wheels as stock that's about 4-5kg knocked off per corner of unsprung weight. Significant
US remove time for 1 foot rollout, whatever that is supposed to mean. It's not 4.8s to 60 in reality.
bumper goes up too high, beyond that its really nice
The pre face lift (22-23) looks better.. design is more cohesive.. this version looks like they shoe horned the sonata front end on it, the bonnet don’t match the front properly.. get the pre face lift 22-23 and fit powerflex bushings and better car.. its lights too the old shape
Clean your eyes. The new one is 100x more better. Maybe you haven't seen one in person yet!
The exhaust is weaker than the NA version, it sounds like the CN version with GPF.
Is this pdrive?
Hi,
Yes, this is my new channel - I left PD in mid-2023.
Thanks for finding.
What a peach, this car is beautiful and always makes me smile, it's an in your face hottie 😁😁😁
I like the seats North America gets better .
They're uncomfortable
Your finger literally went right over the launch control widget. You don’t have to dig father into menu. It’s next to performance options on your screen.
Thanks
That is pretty fast for a FWD.
Although the pre-facelift was faster.
@joshwakawaka7409 .
Could have been quicker if they used light weight subframes and had boost by gear from the factory .
Why are these guys exavtly like the pdrivetv channel???
We started PDriveTV. This is our new channel 👍
Cheers,
Brett
Most of those improvements come purely from the lighter wheels.
Something is off with the numbers. 205km/h trap is 127mph…. Elantra would need nearly 500hp to do that
Keep in mind this has 650hp.
I double-checked the Vbox results, just in case I made an error. In other modes (without launch control etc), it also ran:
11.74s@197.7km/h
12.14s@189.2km/h
So yes, epic top-end speed. Especially for an EV - EVs usually start slowing around the 180km/h mark.
11.55s for 0-200km/h is very impressive. I've timed a stock 2020 R35 GT-R in 10.99s 0-200, 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT in 11.77s, and 2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder in 10.55s.
This IONIQ 5 N is bloody quick!
@@drivingenthusiastaustralia
Wrong car.....
@@benslater9431 Yep. Whoops. I thought it was a comment on the IONIQ 5 N.
I have pinned a comment at the top to highlight the mistake.
This car is not in octan reading!
Really isn’t much difference between this and the Sonata N Line.
A grippier surface would be a bit quicker, but you're right, it's not a huge difference between them. Around a track would be different.
@@drivingenthusiastaustralia I’m mainly interested how they would go against each other in a roll race.
I would’ve liked to see the Sonata’s 0-200km/h but unfortunately it wasn’t tested.
@@russell3436 Yeah we couldn't quite reach 200 here - we'd have to jump on the brakes harder than we prefer. This snuck under our threshold.
Huge difference lol get them on a track and the sonata would capsize
@@mharro88 Well according to my tests, on the same piece of tarmac with the same Vbox with the same driver, the 0-100 is similar. But yes as I mentioned track performance would be different 👍
it might be an elderly punk in the i20N....
Haha. Well in that case need to pay respect to those older and let them win.
id take an older S3 any day over this
Do it then
who gives a fuck
I guess if you want a more boring car, its a good choice
I considered an S3 and then went with the N. Way more fun and much cheaper to run. Once your Audi starts to need repairs $$$$$
Good luck for when it's going to be needing repairs
Same as the old no difference in power why do a 0-100 review!
Different interior. And this is the first time we’ve tested it on this channel 👍
Slow
What a strange looking thing, honestly.
Why does the narrator always elongate the last word of a sentence? Some preferred way of broadcasting? Don’t personally like it. 😢 but oveall very informative video
No reason. Just a crappy voice-over presenter. I’ll try and fix that 👍
I thought it was fine haha, good video, just try and speak with a little more enthusiasm :)@@drivingenthusiastaustralia
Had one try to race me yesterday 😂. Yeah he lost bad.
I hate the way this guy talks.
Same
@@drivingenthusiastaustraliahaha
Horrible looking car, like a mix of AU falcon lines and bits, great to see H has gotten such improvement on their products cheers from Oz 🏁
Those seats are ugly. Glad we don’t get those.
Who the hell would buy this junk over a civic type r? Hyundai is such a try hard car company. Even my 10 grand less ZRV would probably out corner this on a twisty mountain road.
A Civic Type R is $75k compared to this at $52k For $20k more I would sure hope so.
@@purplehazeffc 52k to 75k is nothing if you're committed to a great driving machine.
Delusional comment lmao@@ytyndale3643
@@ytyndale3643 If that's the case, might as well go get a 2017 BMW M3 Competition for $25k more than the Honda
@@purplehazeffc Nah the Honda will last longer, beamers are notorious for problems.
