One of the best upgrades was the increase of depth in the ear cup by 10% which means they are soooo much more comfortable than the XM3's especially if you have larger ears than most. I sent my XM3's back and boy I'm certainly keeping the XM4's!
Production quality is amazing, this is the only video I have seen on anc headphones which shows the sound examples, quite shocked by so few subscribers.

Yeah, I know. JimsReviewRoom used to, but he stopped making videos for some personal matters. Mark Spurrell is definitely his successor in my opinion. He seems like a TH-camr who would have at least 500K subs, if not many million.

big facts, the only thing that they are lacking has to be sound quality and better noise cancellation as well as better build quality.

@michael those dials like on the Surface Headphones 2 and a better microphone for phone calls. Perhaps battery life, but that's no priority.

what do you know, just got my XM4s unboxed and TH-cam recommended this channel. i'm so glad i waited for the xm4s, coming from the first one the MDR-1000X. and yes that one is still working, that's quality! i'm pretty sure this XM4s will fill me until the XM8 comes out. thanks for the video!

Another great review, really enjoyed the demonstration of the ANC (although the XM3's definitely sounded quieter in the coffee shop). I bought my XM3 after watching your vid on that model and couldn't be happier. I've noticed the price dropping for the in ear model (WF-1000XM3) and I'm hoping we'll see an XM4 sometime soon

Got the headphones when they released and have been loving every second with them. Definitely recommend if you don't have a pair of headphones (or have a really old pair). Ten years on and I still think these headphones will do a great job.
350 bucks is still a lot for me, so I got the WH900N instead. I don't know why people don't talk about these, they are basically just as good as the XM3 or XM4, just with less features in the app and a slightly cheaper feel.

@@swooty2805 Those headphones are forsure solid, and many people would be happy with them. But the sound quality isn't the same as the xm3/xm4, it has a very bassy reliant sound, which some prefer even if its not as clear. Also the comfort is not nearly where it is with the xm3 and the xm4 is even more comfortable. The noise canceling on the 900N is also just nowhere near where its at with the XM3 and XM4 as well. Certainly not bad headphones though, but I understand why someone would opt to upgrade to these ones. I owned all 3 in the last month lmfao, I compared til I was happy and stuck with the XM4
@@PantsaBear Yeah I had the WH900N and the sound quality on them was just... awful. I couldn't stand it, specially the higher frequencies and the treble would hurt my ears. XM3 are way better, but still quite bad in the sound department imo. Haven't tested the XM4, but I have a feeling they're also quite bad :/

I just got my xm4's yesterday and they are some very good headphones. Music sounds great on them. I don't know why reviews keep saying that phone call quality isn't that good on them, but I've called people using these headphones and the quality is very good. Thanks for a great review.

That ambient noise test is still unbeatable imo. I've seen some other TH-camrs trying to emulate sort of like that test but still no match to yours truly. Awesome video bro 🔥

thank you for the review! one thing I would like to mention however, is that switching devices on the xm3 got pretty easy by turning off and on the bluetooth on the devices I use the headphones with. Undoubtly the xm4 is better in this department but switchin from laptop to phone only takes about 3 seconds on the xm3

Just bought the WH 1000XM4. I almost got emotional listening to my fav music. It shut out the AC, fan, ambient noise. The sound is fabulous. (I never paid more than $60 for headphones) Thanks.

Good Video man...I got my xm3s 3 weeks ago at half its price...pretty good deal....also if you have paired two devices to the headphone in the past it takes only 2-3 seconds to change the connection on my mark 3 :))))

Always thought ANC (in general) was a gimmick.. but after seeing this video I can appreciate how it works and can see myself falling asleep easier on plane trips or long road trips with these on

Bought the Sony WHXB910N, and I am pretty satisfied with its noise-canceling performance. There is a slight edge of difference in the noise-canceling performance, but overall they are close to XM4's, and the bass is very stable; if looking for something cheap, if you're an average consumer, those might be your best bait. I bought my pair on sale on Amazon -- that blue color is just fantastic! You'll never go wrong if you buy any of Sony's headphones.
Is the missing surround vpt option a big deal? I hear some people really found it to be amazing! Great video by the way. Was looking forward to it.

Just picked one up. And I must say they are definitely worth every penny. I purchased the Cowin e7 pro which are a very good deal for 75$, I didn’t expect the xm4’s to sound that much better. Boy I was so wrong. You just don’t know what you’re missing until you can hear it.. If you’re on the fence, do it, you will be glad you did.

Picked up a pair of these today. Upgraded from the Bose Soundlink 2 that I claimed a refund on with my extended warranty. I must say these are an impressive pair of cans basically better in every aspect. Battery lasts twice as long, noise cancelation is fantastic which isn't on the Soundlink's, app allows for control and customisation while controls on the right ear cup are invisible and work. Couldn't recommend them high enough if you're in the market for a pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones!
