  • Cultivate a deeper breath and body connection as we guide you through Sun Salutation A, Sun Salutation B, and last three closing poses.
Moving with intentionality and focus allows you to deepen your practice and build up more self-awareness. Practice alongside Jelena as David helps you tap into an equal duration of breath with each movement as you’re guided by the sound of a drumbeat metronome.
You can also practice on your own with this special drumbeat!
Perfect for anyone from beginners to advanced practitioners, this steady beat takes your mind off the counting so you can direct your concentration and focus where it really matters.

Hi as a yogi and a drummer I really enjoy the idea of this practice!!! The steady beat rhythm is calming, regulating breath and mind - soooooo good.

This is very helpful - to go through the whole flow with you with a timed drum. Most explanatory yoga videos do a lot of talking and there is no indication as to how the movement should flow with the breath. I do not have access to a live class right now so this is the next best thing for me and you explain it extremely well in this great daily morning flow. Thank you for this! I so wish I could go to your classes.

I would really like a version of this with only the count. Kind of a minimalist version. I find it easier to focus without all the instructions. Especially if I am going to do this practice everyday or every few days. Once it's memorized, I could do it from memory, but I find the audio/visual helpful sometimes. Just would prefer a more minimal version with count only. If you were to record the video with the drums in a headset worn by David, then you could edit the audio post production. Producing 2 versions with instruction and without.

Davids instruction is wonderful and Jalena's practice demonstration is perfection. I so appreciate the work and effort you both put into this and your making it freely available.
Regarding the request for just drums and count, I understand why someone would want that but I find the narration meditative. Thank you !

My teacher in the Czech republic has recommended me your channel. I really enjoy your classes and David's funny attitude in the beginning and at the end of the classes :) but on the other hand he is a great guide!!! Please create more drumbeat led classes slowly incorporating and extending into the whole series eventually, that would be amazing! Thank you for your work!

Have you ever considered a 108 sun salutations video? We used to have a class at my studio and it was nice to have someone minimally queuing the movement. I cannot find anything like it on youtube. You both understand the practice and I think you would be fantastic to guide this challenging practice.

I love this video and will keep it as a tool to continue to improve my practice. Jelena moves with such precision and grace. Thank you both for your beautiful teachings. Your videos inspire me!!
Since watching and practicing Sun A and B more regularly. My focus and control has improved immensely. My practice and inner connection continues to strengthen. Thanks again!

Loved this class. I've been doing yoga about 3 years and never to a steady beat, which brings in a whole new level of focus and challenge. I always think of myself being more flexible than the average person, but watching Yelena at warm down sure makes me realize that I'm only part way there. Thank you for the new insights!

Breath pace in A/B when practicing in a led class has been elusive for me. The instructor may do a vinyasa, or not, and breath for individuals winds up all over the place. In Mysore style that is what it is. But for a led and synchronjzed class the idea of a drumbrat is novel to me and I love it. I use a metronome when practicing instruments and it makes total sense to do the same with a breath paced practice like A/B. Thank you !

I love this class! I recently started getting back into yoga, after taking a few years off around Covid time. It’s nice to have the shorter option to fit it in your day, versus doing a longer session or nothing. I could see a few mistakes I was making in some of the alignment and positioning, which I was able to realize and correct via repetition. Also, trying to keep with the Breathing rhythm was new and helpful.

Do you have any suggestions for increasing flexibility in the hamstrings/back of the legs? I've been practicing 6x/week, but doing only a half primary (due to time and energy constraints) and the back of my legs are still so tight.

Yes, by the feet, but not necessarily in line with the feet. Wrists in line with the toes is optimal for the jump back.
