9:24 Phil, how can you not know what Questing Beast does by now? It has banding, flample, deathlink, and whenever it deals damage to a planeswalker it deals that much damage to the player at the next table over.
It also has ménage à trois
I'm pretty sure that questing beast also grabs you a beer while it's in the kitchen

@@derekcline950 You have to be careful about that feature though. By virtue of touching the beer, the beer becomes poisonous 9. So many people die to that hidden line of text.
It also can pendulum summon and counts for three prize cards
The way you explain and show the cards mid-battle is fantastic and makes watching mtg gameplay so much more enjoyable, eslecially on phone

They could try to win by playing Ichormoon Gauntlet with Jace ulti
Wouldn't the controller of Jace and the Lich decide the order in which the replacement effects are applied? If they apply Jace's first, then there's nothing for the Lich's to replace. Am I mistaken?

I find it funny that the only way to make the win condition viable at all and still fun jank (as opposed to hard control) he had to make effectivly nerfed 8 cast one of the most powerful decks in the legacy format currently. Replace the jank combo woth kappa cannoneer and you have "we have 8 cast at home" in mtg arena
Its like a weird hybrid of vintage PO and legacy 8 cast

Fun fact brewer's kitchen, there was about to be a card in Unglued that had the ability to hit each opponent with a shovel.
So punch target face was ALMOST a reality.
i ran a deck like this in standard with shigeki, a bunch of channel cards and a lot of board wipes but then a new set came out and destroyed its win rate

Both replacement effects look at a card being drawn, and replacing it with not card draw.

I love the bare admittance of the weaknesses of the deck. But we wouldn't be Magic players if we didn't live a good portion of our lives in Magical Christmas land would we?
Fastest way I can think of to win with the deck is playing a basic island.

If you're really lucky, your opponent will concede (or be inactive and get timed out) immediately.
It's... conceivable. I mean, maybe their internet dies the moment you start? Or they're suddenly pulled away for something urgent? That could happen.

In the bonus game, couldn't you have activated the Paradoxical Outcome in the untap step to win that upkeep?
No one gets priority during the untap step. (And because of the "intervening if clause", Triskaidekaphile won't trigger if the condition isn't met when the upkeep starts.)

I won with this really easily the other day by transforming the new jin-gitaxias. Makes you have 14 cards so just play one card and you win next turn.

Here’s a cool idea: defeating your opponent by discarding your best cards. I built a deck around that once. The idea was to discard powerful creature cards then bring them to the battlefield with vat emergence and vat of rebirth.
