Any other ideas on how to win without casting spells? Ninjutsu could work, but its’s hard to sneak in an attacker 🤔
Thanks for tapping that like button 👍⤵

Ninjutsu with the channel to create tokens could work, or alternatively (and expensively), creature lands can do the trick.
I genuinely don't know enough of the cards in MTG to have a decent idea of how this might be possible, or any other means really, but there is also the 'channel to mill' card you used during the time lapse. Could be fun to mill an opponent without ever casting a spell 😂

Historic Brawl with Ravagan, Rusco or any counter spell tribal commander. Many opponents will just scoop instantly, so you win without even playing

Channel can make tokens, as can the Mirrex. I only wish we could get Fallen Shinobi on Historic for a real wincon

Calim, Djinn Emperor works like Yidaro as well, but it's much more playable, it has ward 3 and only needs 2 cycles to get it back, as well as conjurung into top 7. Actually often played in UW Control because the Ice mode wrecks Wizards and the body is great in slow games.

MegaMogwai also commented on this while being roped in Legends of Runeterra.
The most toxic people are the ones who netdeck the most annoying, low skill, or just plain anti fun decks possible.
Who then if they start losing are the ones most likely to rope, emote spam, or quit early.
I hate to be toxic on a positive video like this but recently it's gotten really frustrating since it's so common.
I play uber jank and get treated like crap by them.

As an off-and-on control player myself, I can say that seeing those folks scoop so early from impatience makes me think they miiiiight be playing the wrong deck lol.

    • @jms4979
      @jms4979 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +26

Like for real, when I play azorius control, one of the things I really enjoy is patiently eking out wins in those long games where you are just patiently waiting for the right time to punish your opponent. If you scoop out of impatience just because the opp hasn't given you enough spells to interact with, you really should rethink your deck choice. It would be like playing aggro when you were afraid to attack. Patience and timing is THE defining trait of playing UW control.

I found this recently (Im sure others have too,) and I think you'd enjoy it: displacer kitten + etali's favor + a bunch of sub-4-mana burn spells including grapeshot. Also, add kellen and that other 3 mana aura tutor from theros, and some ways of making treasures by discarding or with adventures on higher cmc spells.
Mull until you have displacer kitten, usually youll also get a treasure maker if you have 12. If you can get etali in time you can often get an infinite combo going turn 4.
It's really only a gimmicky BO1 trick, but it works well enough that I've nearly reached diamond with it :P

I remember when i played the game at the time the turtle came out, i made a deck using transmogrify and other cards to cheat it out, hit really hard and then win the game with fling.
It was fun for me, not so much for whoever was on the receiving end.

Honestly? I *really* love this concept. It's legitimately off the wall and hilarious!

If you allow Alchemy cards, then this deck would maybe be a little possible if you added white (thanks to Benalish Partisan being one of the easiest creatures to cycle onto the battlefield). White is honestly a pretty good color for this, since it has Oketra's Attendant and Timeless Dragon as threats, Touch the Spirit Realm and Eiganjo as answers, and Born to Drive and Castle Ardenvale as ways to generate blockers.

Alchemy cards feel like cheating since WOTC intentionally makes them unbalanced and gamebreaking

@@MistaHowardnot true, most of them are genuinely ass outside of their format, and inside of it they're competing against modern cards. Crucias and rusko were genuinely miles above the power level of the entire alchemy format.
How many alchemy cards are genuinely causing problems outside of HBrawl and alchemy besides the LOTR and oracle of the alpha? The newest red alchemy artifact is probably the only one i could see being a genuine neusanse.

@@MistaHoward This may blow your mind but wizards always makes unbalanced/gamebreaking cards on purpose to sell new sets. It's basically their business model.
