    Jose I just bought my 96 dream Supra and I appreciate you showing us the way here. Awesome video and I appreciate the tips.

    When you describe the sound part of the wheel bearing, that’s exactly what mine sounded like too, so maybe it’s a super thing lol but I’ve got my whole hub assembly off. I didn’t ruin anything, but my bearing literally came apart exactly like yours did that in a race fell out when I pulled the axle out so it sounds like ours were pretty worn out the same way.
    Cause I had very very slight play side to side on my tire when I wiggled it doesn’t

    Just what I needed as I'm about to do this myself. I can't quite work out how to remove the rear dust deflector without damaging it, but I'll order new if I have to. Thanks for the vid 👍

      I’m a little late but you should be able to take the dust cover off without damaging it. Just unbolt it after you pull the hub out.

    Thanks for the helpful high quality video. I'm having a weird dragging and clanking on my rear left but I can't feel it by hand with the wheel on. Sounds like what happened to you, and I've read of others who couldn't feel the wobble by hand, but it still was the bearing. Fingers crossed, I'm tired of working on mine rn

      I even re did the brake hardware twice thinking it was something with the parking brake. Eventually I said at this point what else can it be. Hopefully that’s all it is for you. Glad the video was helpful. If you have any questions just ask. I’ll try my best to help out.

    This is my first time doing one of these I’m about to take the emergency brake off, but do you have to take the axle love? I just don’t see why it for pulling the assembly out towards the outside you know what I mean?

    Great video! I remember doing this job a couple years back and not being able to find anything on it so glad this video exists now. Also thank you for giving the toyota part number for the hubs, I was wondering if you could help me out with the part numbers for the bearings? thanks

      I never got any notifications that you commented. Assuming you already did it, but if not look up NSK bearings. They’re made in Japan and from what I know supply the factory. That’s what I used.

    Is there a way to install the extended studs without removing the entire hub?...

      Or damaging the backing place

    • @josesupra
      @josesupra  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No really. I mean the damage that’s done is very minimal if you even wanna call it that.

    I'm about to do the rear driver bearing this week.
    Do you have torque specs when putting everything back together? Having a hard time to find online....axle nut, diff axle, control arms etc...any at all

      @@josesupra man what was your trick to get the ball joint bolts to break out of the wheel knuckle...im struggling here....got the nuts off them, and been banging away at the knuckle to break them free...they dont seem to be budging

    • @josesupra
      @josesupra  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used heat and kept banging. I think I also put the nut back on the ball joint, grabbed a socket that fit it and an impact extension. Then smacked it with the hammer after heating it. This usually isn’t recommended, but since I’m using the socket that fits the nut it’s never been an issue for me.

    Struggling to get my hub out???

    Nice video but how do you press out the hub? Maybe I missed it.

    • @josesupra
      @josesupra  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Driver side I pulled out by hand, it was really loose so I wiggled it out and that’s the hub I had to buy new. Maybe a couple hits with a hammer but no press used for that. The passenger side I was able to bang or press out. I honestly can’t remember but it was surprisingly easier to get out than I thought it would be. The bearing cage itself was a lot tighter and required the press to remove. The bearing race was still stuck to the hub though so I had a machine shop pull that off for me. Let me know if you have anymore questions, hope this helps though.

      @@josesupra I used a slide hammer and pulled it out. Tough going but got it! Bearing is in super tight and does not want to come out. Bigger press at work !
