Shekhar Gupta is wrong or ill-informed on some topics. He is reading only a script written by someone who don't have any idea of few basic concepts of Sikhism. The saffron triangle flag is simply a religious flag marking a presence of Gurdwara. It is installed in every Gurdwara in world on a very tall post so that it can been seen from as far as possible, so that someone in need of shelter and food can approach there easily. It is a symbol of compassion and humanity as well as selfless service without any discrimination. The unfurling a flag on red fort was a symbol of unity in diversity as tricolor was also there and noone touched it. It might be symbolically pointing out that the people who rever the saffron flag are being discriminated who are integral part of tricolor and sacrificed most for the country. Separatist flag is completely different. I don't know if it's Shekhar Gupta's bias or lack of knowledge.

Shekhar Gupta is wrong or ill-informed on some topics. He is reading only a script written by someone who don't have any idea of few basic concepts of Sikhism. The saffron triangle flag is simply a religious flag marking a presence of Gurdwara. It is installed in every Gurdwara in world on a very tall post so that it can been seen from as far as possible, so that someone in need of shelter and food can approach there easily. It is a symbol of compassion and humanity as well as selfless service without any discrimination. The unfurling a flag on red fort was a symbol of unity in diversity as tricolor was also there and noone touched it. It might be symbolically pointing out that the people who rever the saffron flag are being discriminated who are integral part of tricolor and sacrificed most for the country. Separatist flag is completely different. I don't know if it's Shekhar Gupta's bias or lack of knowledge.

Khalistanis should learn lessons from Pakistan, a country that was formed on the basis of religion is on a brink of economic collapse. Punjab is not doing great as a state either compared to other states. Being part of the Indian union is the best thing for them.
