The cost of the project will vary depending on what equipment you already have, it only cost me $17 and I couldve gotten the stuff cheaper but I didnt feel like waiting.

I bought some paddles and it doesnt tell me how to remap and i dont know if i need to remap it to my needs because it doesnt tell me so if i install them on what will happen?

why did you connect the buttons to A and B? i mean, don't you already have those buttons? wasn'it more practical to sodder them to L3 and R3? i never use them.
Does it matter what side you solder the wire to the tact switches?

Next time don't scrape the pads for the switch, just follow the traces on the board until you are not near where the rubber membrane pad will be, then scrape the solder mask off of the trace at that point and solder to that location.

would be cool to remap the ABXY to the back and changing the ABXY at the front to fully customizable buttons on the PC (like keyboard keybinds without affecting the ABXY at the back :D)

It means that when you buy the solder you want to make sure it has flux in it and then precoat the wire in solder

pretty much any wire is fine if it fits, there doesn't need to be much flow for it to work

Pre K™ Get squidgrip. Its really really bad to make your own cause the material wont be sweat resistant, it wont be the feeling meant for a controller you know ect. Just get squidgrip its like 15$ and at the store (walmart, gamestop, bestbuy, if not tell them to ship it for free to them.)

If youre talking about the switches, than yes if youre gonna use thinner matterial for paddles, and no if you intend on using the ritz crackers cheese spreaders, the spreaders are pretty thick so if you can get some switches like 6x6x8 or 6x6x8.50, than you should be good

***** ok I got the exact flux in the link and its not working it just vaporizes the second you touch it with the soldering iron, and solder doesn't melt it just gets cut apart
Yah I put it on the little prongs of the button and when I try to put the solder on, the solder splits into and the flux evaporates
I cringed when you drilled the holes into the back of the controller. Looked like it was gonna snap at any minute.
Could this same technique work on an afterglow controller?
whatever you do, DON'T drill that. I've got one of those controllers and it will shatter.
