I said it before, but even more on this one: You're an artist ! And I fully agree with «Amazing job» and «Better than factory». No doubt. You're client is lucky that you worked on this.
People truly because of the great microscope don't understand how truly tiny those traces and components are and what a steady hand and skill it takes. I am so impressed.
Unbelievable! I've struggled with just getting 4 pads repaired, and it took me all afternoon. How you managed to get 19 done is amazing! Great video, and I just subscribed.
Alex has good sense of humor!! He literally makes jokes out of everything😂 the strip pad needed to get off but he was so mean to keep it but the pad won😂😂
Amazing how desperate customers get to have their devices repaired and you're one of the only places with the right tools and experience to do it properly.
I do repairs like this. It was thanks to your videos a year ago that I got started. You need to build one of those pens that Japanese guy uses in his his micro soldering video. Genius idea that you can't buy. Really helps with this kind of work.
I'm currently doing this repair.. Not for the faint of heart... I'm almost done..19 PADS and 4 trace wires up to the retimer .. Terrible, but man it's satisfying. Love your videos so much!!
I don’t know how to describe this I enjoy listening to you it reminds me when I was younger and I could actually repair things unfortunately lost my site and now I see there’s new Equipment out to make it easier and I love you for that
And the ONE pad still on there was ground :D That pad was like "nope, I am not leaving this ship!" - Alex, image quality of the new microscope is stunning!
Ugh just did my first repair with missing pads like this it suuuucked. But learned a lot from this video. And tried different techniques. I ended up only putting pads down for the grounds and the five left traces. And then used tiny wires from the HDMI port to torn traces close to the diodes. Worked great!
I came here a month ago trying fix a gtx 960 that had an error code 43, I ended up never fixing it. But ever since I've been hooked on watching your videos, because of how entertaining and informative they are. You even go beyond and talk about other things like business creation and why not to spend so much on a store front, and how some customers might think your an expensive shop otherwise + more. Thanks for all the advice, entertainment, and care that you putt into your videos. You've even gotten me to buy a solder kit / meter and attempting to fix cheap broken boards, etc from ebay for fun haha. Micro soldering is extremely difficult and I even find myself taking an hour just to repair a single pad haha. I look forward to watching your channel every step of the way.
error 43 can be a software problem uninstall all drivers with a program other than windows itself then install older drivers and work up from there. this it what I do for cards with artifacting or no output on ports. it could also be corrupted gpu bios reflash using a spi flash programmer.
@@codm-420-killer7 I've tried mostly everything with that gpu, vbios update, trying different vbios's, reinstalling drivers, putting it into another system, even attempting to reflow it in a oven haha. I got it unexpectedly in an eBay auction pc parts lot and it worked, sold it to someone and then just decided to go caput refunded n all
At 5:11 in your video the 3rd pad from the left looks to connect from both sides. You connected it to the top side only. It looks to be a ground pad and it probably didn't matter on that board as ground probably makes its way around to the other side by a different path. On other boards, that may be the only connection and could cause issues. I really enjoy watching you do these repairs, it goes beyond what I can do.
Tell the owner of the console to invite you some food or something because you agreed to save his console through such stressful and kinda tedious repair process, amazing work as always Alex
That rtx3080 with the screwdriver damage… those trace lines were pretty tiny, I’d say 25% smaller than these traces. Amazing work as always! Ps… watching you do the pins, I started craving salad 😂
@NorthridgeFix AiXun Hurricane is my go to UV lamp so far. Nice to see you are giving it a try. Also ask theme to send you their soldering stations all of them are quite good !!!
Not the grinder a precision Your Hands are precision like a plastic surgeon. I’m always impressed from your skills greetings from Germany and alaikum salam.
Wow, just wow. what a precise work, unbelievable. that was really a surgery. very very high art of repair. you are the boss alex. very big thank you for this video. i hope this xbox works again. it does...you repaired it 😎 greets from vienna
Your work is unique and you do something that very few people can do, that's why your business is successful and people look for you. I understand that sometimes receiving so much damege equipment by its owners can be annoying, but that is part of your business and job. People are not perfect and neither are you. It’s not correct that you make fun of your clients in video because thanks to them you have work. In this video maybe you don't say it as a mockery, but if the console were mine and I listened to what you say I would never go back to your business again.
So watching you do this gives me inspiration to do the fixes I need to do. I do watch repair as a hobby. I have a bunch of coils that the wire has failed at the solder joint. The coil wire is .0006” or .016mm in diameter. I need to scrap the wire coating and solder on a jumper to the solder pad. These watches are from the 60s so parts are very hard to find and the watches quite valuable. Thanks for the inspeeation. I’m running a hacko fx100 induction iron with .01” tips and a AM microscope. I think I need to order some flux from you and some lower temp solder that flows nice so I don’t burn the nylon coil form.
I think you should put a 1 cent coin on the PCB when doing these jobs, then people would get a good idea of how small these traces are. Great work as always Alex, thanks for the content.
Definitely getting a microscope for future readiness after my coworker asked me to do two hdmi replacements on his consoles and all I had was a jeweller's loupe 😅 fortunately I only tore 1 pad but fixed both consoles. Never did a project like that before and not sure if I want to ever do it again. Honestly though it wasn't too bad, just need some practice and the correct tools.
Amazing work as always Alex. It’s so therapeutic watching you work like this. Out of interest, how long did this repair take? It’s the one thing that you don’t get a perspective of through the videos!
wow this is art. Looks like you spent well over an hour here as alot of the video is sped up. How much did the client pay for this repair? a ton i bet eek. I've never seen so many broken pads lol
I've seen a few guys reballing a CPU on YT, it doesn't always go well. I would love to see you tackle something of this magnitude . I understand the equipment needed would be costly, but if anyone is capable of doing this type of work my money is on you :)
I want to try this v2's version and the new microscope... I really like the quality of the products you use. You make look easy again... You can charge for the Time, is valid...
This is amazing! I am in the process of doing this on a Series S with an eye loop and I am LOSING MY MIND! seriously great work! what was the total repair time on this?
Would be cool if there was a copper stencil with all the pads spaced and sized for the consoles, ready to just solder in, would take you like 5 minytes to do it
This is what I gotta tackle today, only 1 pad, opposite the heatsink thankfully. Testing customer's HDMI port, and the port releases from the supports as if they weren't soldered. Held on by the pads, and just the outside one ripped. Wish me luck.
The grinding pen is nice. I work on Pinball Machine PCBs, which aren't nearly so "micro", but I wonder if a fiberglass pencil would work for these micro applications too. I use one all the time to remove solder mask.
You are amazing. I watch your videos everyday. Please let us know when the “better than factory” t-shirts are available. Greetings from Braga, north of Portugal.
23:06 -- "as long as it's functional, we're good." He says as he proceeds to make it look prettier hahahah. I love it. I'm curious -- how long did that monster repair end up taking you? Wish you could've been able to test that Xbox after the repair.
That's not repair, this is true SURGERY!
Great job Alex as always!
Amazing job! I get crazy when I fix 3-4 pads, so 19 is a real piece of art. So much patience and precision! Great !
absolute true!
Unbelievable! I've struggled with just getting 4 pads repaired, and it took me all afternoon. How you managed to get 19 done is amazing! Great video, and I just subscribed.
Wen Alex works on a board it’s like watching a favorite movie. Every seconds is exiting and makes anyone to love his art of work.
Alex has good sense of humor!! He literally makes jokes out of everything😂 the strip pad needed to get off but he was so mean to keep it but the pad won😂😂
Amazing how desperate customers get to have their devices repaired and you're one of the only places with the right tools and experience to do it properly.
Really loving that new scope, the image is outstanding!
I do repairs like this. It was thanks to your videos a year ago that I got started. You need to build one of those pens that Japanese guy uses in his his micro soldering video. Genius idea that you can't buy. Really helps with this kind of work.
With the right tools and talent Alex makes this a work of art
Your Art of soldering encouraged me to try it too. I'm getting the best results now. Thank you from Germany. 👍
I'm currently doing this repair.. Not for the faint of heart... I'm almost done..19 PADS and 4 trace wires up to the retimer .. Terrible, but man it's satisfying. Love your videos so much!!

alex you out done yourself with this repair ..its a masterpiece in trace repair ....a pleasure to watch ....
And the ONE pad still on there was ground :D That pad was like "nope, I am not leaving this ship!" - Alex, image quality of the new microscope is stunning!
You are very comedy Alex your sense and timing of wit and humor is impeccable. 😂🤣
Having the right tools and equipment makes all the difference for any repair. It’s makes you skills easier. Awesome job.
you forgot about a steady hand working under microscope.. your expensive equipments still useless if you have shaky hands
Gandalf is jealous of your magical skills. Probably the most exhausting repair I've seen in your channel.
Ugh just did my first repair with missing pads like this it suuuucked. But learned a lot from this video. And tried different techniques. Image quality is incredible. This is so exciting to see all these upgrades.

I noticed too
I`m sure Alex would fix it if it was needed but clearly he know sometimes more than Multimeter lol
Awesome job. The image clarity from that microscope is better than Hollywood - much better.
Tell the owner of the console to invite you some food or something because you agreed to save his console through such stressful and kinda tedious repair process, amazing work as always Alex
Your videos are therapy for my depression.
OMG man, I think Id end up tearing out my hair before I managed to complete that repair! Well done.
Broken pads rejoin & Broken minds reunion.
Both are the rebirth of life. 🙏👏👏👏🙏
I would have given up at first sight... 19 pads are a real nightmere, but you're a magician
SURGERY at its best ..when youlook at the connecter at end omg small .........very well done
This new UV lamp with improved microscope totally annihilated my eyes, but what can you do 😂
That rtx3080 with the screwdriver damage… those trace lines were pretty tiny, I’d say 25% smaller than these traces. Amazing work as always!
Ps… watching you do the pins, I started craving salad 😂
Alex, you are brilliant as always.
I don't get board from your videos, you can say i am addicted to Alex 😁👍
Love and respect from ❤🇱🇧❤
I love to see his smiles when he's inspecting his own work
@NorthridgeFix AiXun Hurricane is my go to UV lamp so far.
Nice to see you are giving it a try.

It's a lot easier to see the grinding on the conductors where you attach new pads. Thumbs up on the new microscope

Just saw the first few seconds and your smile says it all 😂😂 So I'll watch the rest of the video right away and I'm excited
You made it look so easy. You were handling those pads like chopsticks
I think you should put a 1 cent coin on the PCB when doing these jobs, then people would get a good idea of how small these traces are. Great work as always Alex, thanks for the content.
the clarity is amazing love the v2 scope
Nice and clean job love from India ❤️
Work of art that. people dont realize how difficult this is Great job nice new scope and grinder too
Never ceases to amaze me how careless some people are with high value tech equipment.
Your repair videos are awesome :) Thank you for sharing your knowledge, great work!
Love your videos greetings from Romania!
I think you could have been a brain surgeon with that precision work on that board 👌🏼👍🏼💪🏼
Definitely getting a microscope for future readiness after my coworker asked me to do two hdmi replacements on his consoles and all I had was a jeweller's loupe 😅 fortunately I only tore 1 pad but fixed both consoles. You have the Best microscope among other yt creators Alex. Very clear and precise. i Love it!
Yes that scope is really clear with bright deep colors.
Its actually your fault for all these ripped pads, you make soldering look so easy!
Good job Alex, for one more time, keep the magnificent work up!
Microscope is very sharp image
I’ve always wanted to ask you where are you located in a can I send my equipment in to get repaired or clean through you
Amazing work as always Alex. It’s so therapeutic watching you work like this. Out of interest, how long did this repair take? It’s the one thing that you don’t get a perspective of through the videos!
I wouldn’t be surprised if you ever changed to be “brain surgeon”.
Amazingly done
In cases like these you need a QSB which replaces all 19 pads. QSB are common in the modding community for creating new traces and new pads in bulk.
And he could even offer it on his store! Just gotta get in touch with some pcb fabricators, which I'm sure he could get a deal on
Im here since 2010 and this guy was OG
I'm no doctor nor i do have extensivr medical knowledge but, to me, this procedure is approaching those delicate organ surgery stitching level
wow this is art. Looks like you spent well over an hour here as alot of the video is sped up. How much did the client pay for this repair? a ton i bet eek. I've never seen so many broken pads lol
This video is older, but I believe NF is the only place to get something like this done.
I've seen a few guys reballing a CPU on YT, it doesn't always go well. I would love to see you tackle something of this magnitude . I understand the equipment needed would be costly, but if anyone is capable of doing this type of work my money is on you :)
This is one of the most crucial repair. love your work as usual... 😍😍😍
The quality of the scope is amazing
wow you did an amazing repair,19pins repair maan you+family will have your 1.5m house in no time.
Outstanding workmanship!!
Impossible, made possible. WOW what Precision. Love the vids
I agree that, there is a point at which the repair transitions from routine to "ART".
4:45 " and that's show the precision of *my expert hand* " * fixed for you 😂
Technicality gifted amazing.
Love watching all your repair videos... That said! Gimme the title of your outro tune please! It's so uplifting, need to hear more!!
I never felt confused that match my entire life
I love doing restoration like this. Like a painter with his canvas.
No words can explain you did a amazing job
The new microscope looks so sick
Great to watch a master at work.
Man that's was an epic job. BRAVO!!
Looks like its easy to solder under the scope, then you back away and hold up the board, and you see how tiny all that work really was.
Would be cool if there was a copper stencil with all the pads spaced and sized for the consoles, ready to just solder in, would take you like 5 minytes to do it
i really like your thinking man
This is what I gotta tackle today, only 1 pad, opposite the heatsink thankfully. Testing customer's HDMI port, and the port releases from the supports as if they weren't soldered. Held on by the pads, and just the outside one ripped. Wish me luck.
Fantastic video! You are incredibly skilled at microsoldering, thank you for sharing and congratulations for your success! :)
Amazing job doing all 19 must of been a major pain in the ass the most I've had to deal with is 6
The grinding pen is nice. I work on Pinball Machine PCBs, which aren't nearly so "micro", but I wonder if a fiberglass pencil would work for these micro applications too. I use one all the time to remove solder mask.
Amazing job as usual!
Any thought of offering just the V2 camera head?
Alex that Microscope is Awesome. Now all we need is a bigger U.V light Haha.
hi Alex I see V2 and all of them great bro well work is done 👍
Good job, brother. 🌹
You are amazing. I watch your videos everyday. Please let us know when the “better than factory” t-shirts are available. Greetings from Braga, north of Portugal.

WIth great tools, have great responsilbility.
Nice Job. mission accomplished. 👍👍

I'm so excited for the new scope, I feel like I bought it my self 😁
Awesome job Alex…
23:06 -- "as long as it's functional, we're good."
