I was invited to confront my mother on this show and I declined. I just couldn't. Everything that was said on this show just proved that the things told to me about her were accurate. To see in 2023 she is still like this isn't much of a shocker, it's actually worse than I thought. Asking for pictures of my nephew like that was weird. Although inaccurate that he was 3 months because I was 4 or 5 before when the car situation happened. I pray she patterns herself because damn it's been over 20 years. Theres alot more to it than the show highlighted. I have no interest in tryna reconcile or let her see my son.

She has been clean for years, but she still has zero social awareness and says, asks, does inappropriate things and thinks they are funny. Very childlike. I hope that this is the case with this mom. She may really think her behavior is acceptable. I'd keep my child away completely though until she reaches certain sobriety milestones

My mother used to call babies cute and refer to buttholes as cute little culoholes. I wasn't raised by her but even while I thought it was weird she never had it in her head it was bad. Shes a problem then again hence why she didnt raise me for long... she was also the type of mother to call my brother 'papa chulo' as a 'cute nickname' ---but my grandmother would do it too and my titi (both who are good folk) and I think what happens is it trickles down and is seen as normal. I dont think theres ill intention honestly but I still think its weird.

You can tell she shouldnt have even been trying to reconnect yet. She needs to complete the program completely before reconnecting with her past. The methadone stops her from being able to pace herself and think before she speaks. Shes saying things that are being vastly misconstrued and you can see that pain and irritation in her eyes and body. But again she needs to complete her recovery because until she does she can never communicate at the level needed with her kids. I sincerely hope she is trying her best and didnt have the I'll intentions the kids thought but iv met alot of addicts from heroin and honestly even after recovery they tend to be very narcissistic and entitled. It's a personality that comes with heroin addiction and the things it makes you do. Narcissistic personality disorder is of course one of the hardest to cure because these people dont think theyv done anything wrong and always worry about their image and how others may affect it. Ergo, they avoid therapy because that's basically just them being told they arent perfect and are actually being selfish and narcissists dont want to hear that. It's a real shame. I hope the children can move on and heal and that he and his gf can raise their child safely away from her pervy eyes

My parents were abusive, & definitely should’ve done significantly better, but they had ample reason & opportunity to, & they never did. I’m so grateful for that, having parents addicted to drugs is a horrible type of hell, and my heart aches for those who have to endure it.
Im 31 and still have extremely clear vivid memories of moments from when I was a toddler, I think the earliest one I was around 1.5 or 2. For people that say “how could you remember you were a baby you can’t remember that” you absolutely can remember things from that far back if it made enough of an emotional impact on your brain that it never let it go. It has to be an extremely emotional, impactful moment, but it WILL stick around.
Addiction doesn’t excuse you. I was addicted for a long time before I got pregnant. I was high when I found out and guess what? I QUIT ON THE DAMN SPOT!!! She didn’t even try to get cleaned for her kid(s) that’s what makes it more ridiculous of her!! She needs to take responsibility for her fukkd up actions!!! It’s always everyone else fault but hers.

I love that I had both my parents growing up. My dad died 10 years ago and yesterday he would've been 66. My parents never asked any weird shit like that with their grandkids. In a month I'm going to be a granny for the first time and I'm so damn excited!!!! My lil 💙 is gonna be so spoiled.

I agree. We all do bad things in active addiction. I have been to rehab 4 times, failed 3 times, stole from my family, jobs, and friends. Abused my MAT. Took videos of me and my friends getting high. But even really deep in my addiction.. doing something so heinous never even crossed my mind.. she is a danger to children sober or not.

She's up there saying 'I'm only on 120 mg of Methadone, girl you might as well be using at that point cause that's a very very high dosage in fact the cut off is 130 mg in most states unless the doctor authorizes for a higher dosage. From the looks of it though, her eyelids are droopy and her responses are a little delayed at times, I actually thought at first she was on heroin because her behavior was so strange but no just the methadone, basically the same thing. Suboxone is definitely a much better form of treatment if you really wanna get clean!

That second segment.. I didn’t even recognize the woman until I saw her Maury clip. I remember that episode. It was a mess & I felt for all the kids involved…. Regardless of their age/even tho they were grown adults.
Being on methadone does not mean your sober. Its a synthetic opiate that can get someone high if they take enough of it. People sell it, use it, etc. I get she is in a program but unless she is ready to taper off methadone, some people stay on it for years. I dont know what her plan is, but I'm just saying i wouldnt consider anyone who is on methadone sober.

She's up there saying 'I'm only on 120 mg of Methadone, girl you might as well be using at that point cause that's a very very high dosage in fact the cut off is 130 mg in most states unless the doctor authorizes for a higher dosage. From the looks of it though, her eyelids are droopy and her responses are a little delayed at times, I actually thought at first she was on heroin because her behavior was so strange but no just the methadone, basically the same thing. Suboxone is definitely a much better form of treatment if you really wanna get clean!
I believe in forgiveness - for YOUR sake! - but if she is lying to you, I dont know that I could risk having such a person around my kids!! 😢😢😢
Absolutely cannot EVER see the child. She has no need to be around the child, even supervised.

Being on methadone does not mean your sober. Its a synthetic opiate that can get someone high if they take enough of it. People sell it, use it, etc. I get she is in a program but unless she is ready to taper off methadone, some people stay on it for years. I dont know what her plan is, but I'm just saying i wouldnt consider anyone who is on methadone sober.
In Puerto Rico we don't do that, that is sick and disgusting.

I’m ngl this case kinda frustrated me; he’s upset and hasn’t healed. The way they all went down her throat, I can see why she didn’t wanna even try and be mature about it; it doesn’t make it right. Whatever she did to him was wrong, she’s not the victim regarding what happened to him, she’s a victim of a drug abuse though and that’s something that seemed to be ignored when talking to her. We gotta stop expecting ex addicts and current addicts to adhere to our social standards, their brains are wired differently so it’s obvious some addicts will say and do things that seem weird even after being clean🤧

No. That's not your call to make. Like I'm glad you got past your trauma, I'm happy for you, but my sister violently abused me for 20 years and I've cut off my other sister for trying to force me to forgive her. She's driven me to several suicide attempts. I'll be damned if anyone makes me give her another chance. Second chances should be earned, not freely given. Otherwise you're just setting yourself up for more abuse. Victims don't owe their perpetrators a damn thing.
