I had this for the first time at a German bakery about 6 months ago. This cake is criminally underrated. Beautiful recipe! I'll be trying this out for sure.

Totally agree with you! This is such a delicious cake that’s not overly heavy and sweet
Hope you love the cake from the recipe! ❤️

That’s the first time I’ve seen yeast used in a cake; I’ve learned something. Many thanks!

Hi Nicky, This happens to be one cake I have never heard of 🤔 I don’t really use yeast in my cake, so I was interested to see how you made this and how it came out. Thanks for sharing it with us. Looks good! See you soon, Dolores. 🥰

I really like your presentation 😊 my solution at the end would be to not use a fork and just bite into it like a sandwich 😂

What size is the opening of your pan for the cake? I have a similar frame, and it looks like the length is that of the standard half-sheet pan, but what width is it at? Thanks for sharing this recipe. My great grandparents were immigrants from Germany to the United States, but my family didn’t know about this cake. I’m really excited to make this and share it with my family.

Never mind. I just saw the pan size after rewatching the video.
