Actually, it all spins down to being about Copyrights and Trademarks. If you don't own certain ones and can't "lease" the rights to certain things, names, costumes, even catch phrases, you don't get to use them. If you do use them without "permission" aka financial compensation, you get sued and lose your cred in the industry. ''I've seen men of steel die and dark knights fall'' ugh, that one gives me chills. I'm not a hardcore fan, but i would never imagine Superman and Batman dying, such stalwart defenders of their respective homes.
My favorite theory is that the Supergirl and Arrow/Flash universes are "broken". They should be one reality, and there are still some things missing. Bruce Wayne in the Arrow/Flash universe is just Bruce Wayne his parents never died. The "vigilante" in the Supergirl universe isn't Batman, but some other stand in. Wonder Woman is MIA. Somehow one universe was "broken". Arrow/Flash are one universe with existing elements trying to take the place of some of the missing bits (with Green Arrow taking on the Batman role, and the Flash taking on the Superman role). One of the larger fragments coalesced into the Supergirl universe. Superman was too much of a fundamental concept to be erased so the Supergirl universe formed, but bits are sill missing from it. I could see some grand arc for the Legends of Tomorrow in which they have to fix the broken universe. The saddest part would be needing to make sure Bruce Wayne's parents meet their tragic end. Perhaps Joe Chill had been killed as part of the universe-breaking and the Legends have to save the small-time crook without knowing why (though perhaps Rip knows).
I highly doubt that's true. Or at least the Batman part. When Jimmy and Winn were talking about "Superman's friend", Winn puts his index finger to his head, clearly trying to imitate Batman's mask.
Just put Batman in the damn shows. He would school all these fools. Arrow is basically bootleg Batman in these shows anyway... the Bat would show him how to do dark and brooding hero the right way
So here’s my question. There seems to be a Bruce/Batman across each Earth. But my question is, which one is the true Batman. This sounds odd I know but look at everyone else. Flash and Arrow both are on the same Earth aka earth 1 and are the proper versions of those characters. For supergirl and Superman, we see them on earth 38 as there proper selfs. But for Batman though, it seems he’s Batman across those earths. But which one are we actually going to see? Will we see the one on Earth 1 or Earth 38? It’s very confusing cause there’s Batman references across both earths, making it harder to identify which one were gonna see.
Flash and Arrow are both on (at least) Earth-3. It's mentioned by Reverse Flash that he came from (an assumed) Earth-1 but intentionally changed the past so that the Justice League wouldn't exist and that Barry wouldn't get his powers. After Barry learns that mother should have lived, he tried to fix it and ends up failing. He returns to the future, creating an identical Earth-3 in the process since Earth-2 Flash didn't exist until after Earth-2 was created. This is all assuming that they don't take in account of other universes in which the Justice League already exist so they could evidently be even further down the line.
chris no rf saying hes from earth 1 in the crossover is telling barry hes not from earth x and is the rf from their earth. jay garick is from earth 3 and the barry oliver etc are all living on earth 1.
The original plan was to make a series on batman but DC refused thus They adapted arrow instead and since for a majority of people both are quite the same They kind of make arrow a batman eco+ with a bow Bruce and oliver has some similarities But batman and arrow clearly doesn't have some
The newest episode of Black Lightning his daughters girlfriend is reading The Outsiders comic so maybe on their Earth he's fictional, but exists on Supergirls Earth and Earth 1&2? I wish we'd get a cameo even if it's just his Silhouette kind of like Superman in season 1 of Supergirl, maybe on the Titans show it'll happen, I mean Nightwing is in it and you need Batman to have Nightwing.
Yeah, and she also wore like a black leather cat costume to a superhero themed ball (and referenced Supergirl). Also, the original Teen Titans cartoon did manage to get away with a Robin without Batman technically showing up. Then again, it would be weird with DC's current obsession with putting him in everything to avoid it in a show with Nightwing in.
Yeah. It's kind of sad because it looks very good from what I've seen of it. It's not like Seasons 2-4 Flash or Arrow Seasons 3-6 (not counting 5) where the sharks have been jumped and the cousins have been Oliver'ed (if those references make sense).
If I remember correctly, Hunter Zolomon mentions Atlanteans and Aquaman exist on Earth 2, so I guess the Justice League there only consists of Jay Garrick and Arthur Curry..?
Tyler McElwee No it wouldn't if he appeared on Arrow he'd get his butt kicked by Oliver which would suck and let's not even discuss how nerfed he would be on super girl Lena Luther would probably kick his ass on that show. None of the arroverse shows would be able to do a good batman
If he appeared on Arrow he'd probably fight Oliver to a stand still and later joke about who would've won. DC would not allow Green Arrow to beat Batman, but the CW would not allow their main character to loose a fight like that. If he appeared on Supergirl, he most likley appear togheter with Superman. But let's be real, they'd never let Batman appear on Arrow or Supergirl. MAYBE he'll appear on Titans one day because of Robin (Like Superman on Supergirl).
So, basically, they went back to Pre-Crisis 1984 and back, with the multiple Earths and such. At least this Superman is a bright sort, versus his big screen incarnation.
Pre-Crisis there were infinite Earths. They went with "The New 52" where there's 52 Earths. Even though there's actually 53 but the last one is so bad nobody wants to talk about it.
virtual pellot Just watch the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover event spanning all four shows. Starts with Supergirl, goes to Flash, Then Arrow, and finally Legends
" Men of steel and Dark knights fall " not only DC but also his days as Rory Williams, talking about The Doctor and Professor River Song. Also his time as The last Centurion.
I love how Batman being a human being with no super powers is somehow more mystical to beings that has super speed or caped wonders. It's almost like hes a mythical legend, so legendary even worlds like Mortal Kombat acknowledges Batman as some sort of folklore. He's just so damn badass.
“I’ve seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall.” So the plural bothers me. Is this a reference to Crisis on Infinite Earths? The story to that is a huge villain (Anti-Monitor) brings the dimensions together to fight him (Earth 2, Earth 3...etc). Very possible.
He is talking about time traveling. Multiple characters have taken the mantle of Batman and DC One Million even makes reference to the "Superman Dynasty"
Dapper Penguin Men of steel = superman AND superboy Dark knights = the bat family (e.g batman, robin, night wing etc) So he’s probably referring to superman and batman in the arrow universe (if they’re still alive)
Can we assume that Batman is a character in the arrow verse we just haven’t met yet cause in Oliver’s and Kara’s earth both make references to Batman especially in arrows verse. I mean all they need to do is have a common enemy and have him drop in I mean come on
If it’s like the smallville thing I’ll be mad like oh yeah you can call him Clark Kent and he can be Superman but you can’t call him super man or have him in the suit
I think the show Gotham is going to be the origin of Bruce Wayne in the Arrow verse, I know in the show he's still young only like currently 15 years old, but if you notice they still have flip phones, and never see modern day cars or even technology or social media plus it is never confirmed what year it takes place, so it could take place in the early mid 2000. it's a bit of a stretch but wold be really awesome to see the rise of Bruce Wayne leading to Arrowverse.
Lol I am talking about Disney owning marvel. So when they own fox they won't want anything to do with Gotham because it is DC Lol Catch up on the news lol
Kaden J no he exists in the Arrowverse too. Oliver literally calls out Bruce Wayne in this video and in season 6. So maybe he’s not Batman but Bruce definitely is in the Arrowverse.
No, Supergirl is from Earth-38, the other shows are on Earth-1. We have yet to know from which Earth Black Lighting hails. Kaden - Batman must exists in the Arrowverse because without The Joker there is no Harley and without Batman there is no Joker
Not true ... She just crosses over into the Arrowverse from time to time! Remember when Sisqo and Barry went to her Earth for help in the first crossover? Sisqo complemented her on "her" universe in that episode!
Arrow a.k.a (Oliver Queen), in Arrow-Verse on their Earth, he is basically the Batman but just portrayed a bit differently. Billionaire play boy, parents died in a different way/ time. Uses voice changer, goes out at night to "Protect his city", Like Bruce protecting Gotham. Not to mention that Arrow is the first vigilante on that Earth to meet and kill Ras' Ah Ghul. Batman does that!! And, Bruce Wayne (Batman) Isn't a vigilante on there Earth, BUT on Supergirls Earth he is. Oh and realistically, Batman doesnt use a voice changer. His voice is actually deep. These live action movies like to mess things up.
Arrow has actually taken a lot of inspiration from his own comic books. Except for the whole ra’s al Ghul thing and occasionally Briton in a Batman Villain for an episode. Mike Grell Green Arrow stories especially and his time as mayor another example
4:18 Kinda cool that it’s called babel protocol and the fact that the babel protocol is literally a mechanism in the suit that makes the suit explode in case Barry ever went rogue

Is that supposed to be dead shot?
''I've seen men of steel die and dark knights fall'' ugh, that one gives me chills. I'm not a hardcore fan, but i would never imagine Superman and Batman dying, such stalwart defenders of their respective homes.
That first reference to me sounds like Oliver met Bruce Wayne during his 5 years of "Being dead" ..what is Oliver not telling us
My favorite theory is that the Supergirl and Arrow/Flash universes are "broken".
Vis Viva Why do you suggest the vigilante in Earth38 is not Batman/Bruce Wayne?
Anyone notice that during the phone scene in Flash, the other names besides Flash were 'Hal' and 'Diana' as in Hal Jordan and Diana Prince?
I highly doubt that's true. Or at least the Batman part. When Jimmy and Winn were talking about "Superman's friend", Winn puts his index finger to his head, clearly trying to imitate Batman's mask.
Vis Viva OMG THAT WOULD BE A DREAM COME TRUE

it’s for the best that cw does not touch batman
Another?
I like how Superman comes in to shows, but Batman stays myserious
the justice league phone doesn' make sense if barry isn't the flash in that timeline right
Oh yeah i didn't notice that
There are multiple flashes
He could still be friends with them
I think it’s just a cool easter egg
Just put Batman in the damn shows. He would school all these fools. Arrow is basically bootleg Batman in these shows anyway... the Bat would show him how to do dark and brooding hero the right way
No they will ruin batman like they do everyone cw are idiots
This comment did not age well
Kelly Pagano they would ruin himit would be bad id rather him a legend instead of a cringy adaptaion
They ruined Superman too....
DeuceDaLocc your an idiot
You missed when Barry get a Batman comic out of his backpack
That wasn't Batman, it was the Space Ghost.
So Batman is in this universe but they aren't showing him
On Earth 1 (Arrow, Flash, Legends) Bruce Wayne exists but he's not Batman. On Earth 38 (Supergirl's Earth) Batman exists.
Earth 38 is the same as Gotham's batman
No its not.
Mike White I would argue that he does exist in Earth 1 due to the existence of Harley Quinn and Oracle.
Mike White he's Batman in both universes
1:55 is one of the best lines in LOT and I love it so much.
1:00. That’s the “Rated-R” Superstar, EDGE!
Few WWE wrestlers also appeared on Smallville as Kryptonian villains.
Spidemus Prime SuperGirls earth cause in an episode she says my Cousin fought a Vigilante when she learns about guardian
Chris Heidke no In Season 2 Flash Learnes he was on earth 1 or the center of the multiverse and earth 2 is where Jesse Quick and Harry is from
Chris Heidke ??? the timeline changing doesn’t affect which earth they’re on
chris no rf saying hes from earth 1 in the crossover is telling barry hes not from earth x and is the rf from their earth. jay garick is from earth 3 and the barry oliver etc are all living on earth 1.
that harley voice-over was horrendous
I thought it was pretty close to TSS Harley
If my memory serves me right
That was Tara Strong the VA of Harley in the cartoons
They probably asked CW to tone it down and make sound an easter egg
that.. was literally Tara Strong
It sounded good to me.
Chris Mendez okay and? Doesn’t mean it can’t sound bad
The Batman mentions are the best thing about the CW Arrowverse
I mean yea different earths have different Batmen
"Why overwatch?" "Well I wanted Oracle but it was taken"
Oracle is a real TECH company actually.
Buts it's taken by another girl on the computer
Think it's referencing Babs in the comics though.
yes but she could still call herself oracle. hes clearly referring to another "girl in the chair" vigilantes
These references just make me wish Batman would just show up and show up every one
The original plan was to make a series on batman but DC refused thus
They adapted arrow instead and since for a majority of people both are quite the same
They kind of make arrow a batman eco+ with a bow
Bruce and oliver has some similarities
But batman and arrow clearly doesn't have some
The newest episode of Black Lightning his daughters girlfriend is reading The Outsiders comic so maybe on their Earth he's fictional, but exists on Supergirls Earth and Earth 1&2? I wish we'd get a cameo even if it's just his Silhouette kind of like Superman in season 1 of Supergirl, maybe on the Titans show it'll happen, I mean Nightwing is in it and you need Batman to have Nightwing.
Same can be said for Oracle and Harley Quinn their requirements have a Batman.
I anticipate Nightwing saying "the big guy" a lot in Titans.
The creator of black lighting said that there show is in a totally different universe unfortunately
Yeah. It's kind of sad because it looks very good from what I've seen of it. It's not like Seasons 2-4 Flash or Arrow Seasons 3-6 (not counting 5) where the sharks have been jumped and the cousins have been Oliver'ed (if those references make sense).
Why would he have a justice league phone on earth 2 if he wasn't the flash though?
Adam Khouri true
quickSpectre good point
I've been asking that same question for years.
If I remember correctly, Hunter Zolomon mentions Atlanteans and Aquaman exist on Earth 2, so I guess the Justice League there only consists of Jay Garrick and Arthur Curry..?
Adam Khouri oh snap
WOW dude! You have gathered all the references in practically every season in a single video! It was very good !!
why'd they make harley quinn's voice so cringy lol
Stryker yea man
Everything about these shows is cringy
That's how Harley's voice always was.
Her voice is somewhat like that, but never on that level of cringe.
Stryker that was the voice actor they’ve used her for in the recent games and cartoons
rule one
if in any DC comics related media , there is no batman , it means that he's just beyond the boundary of the frame all the time
Reminds me of how in Agents of Shield and Daredevil they always refer to the Avengers hero as "guy with the hammer/shield" or "the big green guy"
In Luke Cage they name dropped Tony Stark

‘The outsiders’ on the last scene... I thought they were talking about the greasers and socs ‘I think it’s a really awesome book’ lmao.
One of the best books and movie I read and seen
it would be so awesome to have batman make an appearance in the arrowverse it probably will not happen but it would be cool none the less
MAYBE he'll appear on Titans one day because of Robin (Like Superman on Supergirl).
he forgot one for the flash in season 1 when he got the nerd survival kit the first comic book he pulled out was a batman comic
Bruce: Way to throw me under the bus and have me investigated now
The thumbnail reminds of the T-pose meme, the citizen are even cowering in fear.
Only reason why I clicked. Was not disappointed.
1:40 joe calls someone called jimmy...is this also a reference to Jim Gordon
Yep!
Little did he know that 3 years later his content would change
So, basically, they went back to Pre-Crisis 1984 and back, with the multiple Earths and such.
At least this Superman is a bright sort, versus his big screen incarnation.
Pre-Crisis there were infinite Earths. They went with "The New 52" where there's 52 Earths. Even though there's actually 53 but the last one is so bad nobody wants to talk about it.
Lucas Akame how bad?
virtual pellot Nazis won WWII and rule the world bad.
virtual pellot Just watch the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover event spanning all four shows. Starts with Supergirl, goes to Flash, Then Arrow, and finally Legends
no,crisis on earth-x is supergir -arrow-flash-legends
harley is great " come on chocolate pudding i wanna play i wanna play" that line alone kills me XD
I love how in Arrowverse the Batman is so much of a symbol.
So batman/Bruce is on 3 different earths, but superman is only in one?
There's no reason he isn't. Earth-1 Krypton may have never been destroyed.
Bruce Wayne doesn't have to be Batman on all 3 Earths.
On earth-2 Oliver's father is arrow, maybe something like that happens with superman
There is another superman did u ever herd about injustice ?
anonymous world yeah but. Superman was still around on earth 1 in injustice.
"Masks are only big in that other city" could apply to so many things, not just Batman.
props to you for going to this much effort for every reference this must of taken forever!
Superman and Louis is the only show that’s not corny as fuck on the CW. Everything should be HBO level production from now on. And only on there.
Superman and Lois is corny af
Dapper Penguin
Men of steel = superman AND superboy
Dark knights = the bat family (e.g batman, robin, night wing etc)
So he’s probably referring to superman and batman in the arrow universe (if they’re still alive)
I’m pretty sure Mr. West said “Hey jimmy” as for Jim Gordon 1:43
Lil Dom You could be right!
Rip saying "I've seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall" is a line that goes WAY too hard for a CW show.
Can we assume that Batman is a character in the arrow verse we just haven’t met yet cause in Oliver’s and Kara’s earth both make references to Batman especially in arrows verse. I mean all they need to do is have a common enemy and have him drop in I mean come on
Well, there's also the problem with Rights. They may not have explicit permission to use Batman/Bruce Wayne outside of references.
If it’s like the smallville thing I’ll be mad like oh yeah you can call him Clark Kent and he can be Superman but you can’t call him super man or have him in the suit
I think Bruce Wayne lives on Flash and Arrow’s earth but he isn’t Batman, but in supergirl’s world there is Bruce Wayne who became Batman
4:20 mr allen I don't feel so good
3:09 and I thought my jokes were bad
5:37 She is actually referring to the novel "The Outsiders" that was later made into a film starring Ralph Macchio, and Patrick Swayze.
Hopefully with the sale fox and Disney owning Marvel, Gotham will move to the CW.
ThatOneKid marvel? This is DC lol wrong comic books lol
Lol I am talking about Disney owning marvel. So when they own fox they won't want anything to do with Gotham because it is DC Lol Catch up on the news lol
ThatOneKid lol hey hopefully it moves to CW then haha
POPINCONEJO88 nah man, Disney's next step is buying, and combining DC with marvel😂
Oh yeah - thanks for actually explaining the little things like babble, it really makes the list so much better
So Batman exists in the Supergirl universe but not the Arrowverse
Kaden J no he exists in the Arrowverse too. Oliver literally calls out Bruce Wayne in this video and in season 6. So maybe he’s not Batman but Bruce definitely is in the Arrowverse.
Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow are all set in the same universe.
No, Supergirl is from Earth-38, the other shows are on Earth-1. We have yet to know from which Earth Black Lighting hails.
Kaden - Batman must exists in the Arrowverse because without The Joker there is no Harley and without Batman there is no Joker
The Supergirl universe is a part of the Arrowverse.
Not true ... She just crosses over into the Arrowverse from time to time! Remember when Sisqo and Barry went to her Earth for help in the first crossover? Sisqo complemented her on "her" universe in that episode!
Bro 1:40 subtitles are ☠️
"Chocolate pudding" is wild 💀
Adieboy I personally hate how Arrow is portrayed, too dark. I wish he was the same goofball from the comics
Joshua Sixx I like the darker one and in my opinion most people like it. That's why arrow season 1 & 2 were the best ones
Arrow has actually taken a lot of inspiration from his own comic books. Except for the whole ra’s al Ghul thing and occasionally Briton in a Batman Villain for an episode. Mike Grell Green Arrow stories especially and his time as mayor another example
you mean these love action shows lol, Batman doesn’t use a voice hanger in the cinematic universe either.
+Julien B yeah he does, there was a scene where Alfred was testing it out and his voice sounded just like Batman
They mention him all over the place but haven't introduced him yet? CW what are you thinking get on it you got the version from Gotham now.
4:18 Kinda cool that it’s called babel protocol and the fact that the babel protocol is literally a mechanism in the suit that makes the suit explode in case Barry ever went rogue
The Outsiders one was cool, because she wasn't actually talking about the comic so that was clever of the writers.
