I remember when I realized how beautiful it is that Moroni, who did so much to add to and protect the golden plates, was the angel who appeared to Joseph Smith and initiated the restoration of The Gospel. Our God is so good and so merciful to all of us, but especially to those who are faithful like our beloved Book of Mormon prophet Moroni. I would add that this is an overnight holiday to celebrate. With 4 visits overnight, we can probably say Moroni's visits happened both on Sept 21st and Sept 22nd. I do not like this video. From the start it made me wonder who we are worshipping. Are we worshipping Heavenly father and Jesus Christ or are we worshipping the angel that was sent by the Lord? We really need to stop making these kind of silly things that do not help people come closer to Christ. This kind of video and suggestion of a holiday for the angle Moroni makes people not yet a part of the church think that we worship the angel Moroni. It is the same thing with the statue on many of the temples. People look at that and think we worship the figure that is so prominent on the temples and was the old symbol for much of the church for decades. If we want a new holiday it should focus on Christ and all he has done for us and all that he is doing for us. As wonderful as it was that Moroni was still a wonderful servant to the Lord and was willing to do the work that was asked of him. We should not treat him as if he is someone to worship. We should be thankful that the Lord wanted us to have the records in an uncontaminated condition and used a faithful servant to bring them to Joseph Smith.
The biblical holy days are meticulously spelled out already. Is it appropriate to overlay God’s commanded observances with a substitute “holiday”? September 21st is widely celebrated as Solstice amongst new age and pagan adherents. How strange to suggest that after throwing the biblical feast days overboard to replace them with a supposedly better “combo” holiday.
@@tyghrrr By HIS knowing the beginning to the end I find it significant that the LORD would send one of His angels to proclaim that the day of preparation for His return is now, would be on a Holy Day. IMO this is a time stamp of HIS Official Seal.

The times of these sacred holy days are determined by the moon, not by the sun. Assigning a Christian holy day according to the solar calendar instead of the lunar calendar is not supported in any verse of the canon that I know of, it’s simply a man made notion. Adding a new religious holiday as a replacement for existing sacred holidays might sound like a good idea at first, but I would encourage you to give it serious thought and prayer before reaching a fixed conclusion.
The spring feasts were fulfilled at the Saviors first advent. The fall feasts are fulfilled at his second advent. The first vision took place on the 10th day of the first month - which is the day the lamb enters the house, Palm Sunday. Joseph got the plates from Moroni on the feast of trumpets. These are absolutely holy days being fulfilled in the last dispensation. The fall feasts foreshadow the trumpeting of the gospel, the day of redemption of Zion and Jerusalem and the millennial reign where we tabernacle with the Lord.
