I love your invitation to thin out the many blossoms of our rich Book of Mormon in order to teach what will be of most value to our group. So much content, so little time for discussion and edification. Thank you for showing us again that we shouldn't feel guilty in leaving some principles out.

Thank you so much, Bro. Tyler. Especially thanks to your suggestions on where to focus in the scriptures and dive into a discussion that's relevant for our individual needs. I'm currently teaching Early Morning Seminary in Taiwan, and I found the idea of "blossoms" very helpful. I can then ponder on what my individual student need from the scriptures. Many thanks to your experiences and suggestions!

Wow! I needed this!! I feel like I have been harvesting bushels of tiny crab apples every week as I am learning to teach gospel doctrine. I would love to learn more about how to be a teacher! I’m definitely going to focus on trying to harvest a massive juicy Gala in the future! Thank you so much!!! ❤

Thanks for the tip of how to pick what principles to teach at the beginning of this video. The Scriptures are so wonderful and I want to teach my children everything and i tend to cover to many things that I lose their interest. Thanks for helping me let go of the "apple blossoms" in order to focus on whats most important.

Tyler, the beginning of the Podcast brought back many memories of CES 101 training and then teaching Teacher development, I loved the Blossom thinning analogy !! This true principle sure applies today: "Evil is NOT self-sustaining, it is a Parasite that feeds off others doing all the work." Yes indeed, this Scripture Block is Principles Early and Often. Thank you my friend

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time at the beginning teaching how best to teach from the scriptures. This is something I’ve been struggling with since becoming a young woman advisor. I’ve felt exactly how you described. So anxious because I feel I need to teach the girls everything from the come follow me lesson. But, wow it gets exhausting and like you said, the principles are then poorly taught and understood. This has helped me not only in teaching my lessons but also in my personal study. You are a great teacher! Thank you 🙏

I've really been struggling with trusting myself. When I struggle I sabotage the good I've been doing. I went for a drive and wanted to go to the Bar or get a cigar... then a thought came to my mind will this help? The spirit directed me in the very moment I felt so helpless and hopeless in myself. President Nelson warned us in the coming days it will be impossible to survive spiritual without the guiding influence of the Holy Ghost.

@@a-aron5508 thank you for sharing that! I can understand a part of what you feel. I try to love myself each day and build good habits and character, but it can be difficult in this world. I need the spirit because it is so helpful and I am glad you could recognize the subtle ways the spirit talks to us!

Keep trying, Read your scriptures everyday before you leave the house. Even if it’s just one verse. Pray before you get up, even if it’s only Heavenly Father I love you, help me! Listen to the scriptures while you are in the car. While you are getting ready for your day listen to a conference talk. Satan is the one telling you everything that tears you down. he is the father of all lies. It’s a lie. You can absolutely over come him. Satan’s power can only bruise your heel, you have the power to crush his head. You only need to take the strength the Lord has for you. It’s in prayers, scriptures, giving service, doing genealogy. If you need help, ask those in your ward. Talk to your bishop. Pray before you go that he will be impressed with what the Lord would have him know to help you. Remember, Jesus already won for us! He fulfilled everything for all his children to return to Him & Father. Which means He has everything you need to overcome anything! Reading His scriptures, praying, listening to His prophets & apostles. All of this will give you what you need to overcome self sabotaging yourself. Ask Him why you do it. He will explain. You probably feel like you could never keep going on Christ’s path so why let yourself down or Him. But those thoughts are Satan. If you are wrapping yourself in the gospel, then Satan cannot stay around you. Even if for some reason you back slide, repentance is a process. Nobody is perfect except for Christ. You keep going no matter what. You get away from anything that isn’t worthy of Christ & you. You are amazing to have shared your story. I hope this helps. I’ve been through similar things. These things I’ve discovered are what matters. What gets you closer to Him day by day, year by year. ❤

I have thought that the true problem with those opposing religious freedom is not that the wicked oppose religious freedom, it is that they resent the example the righteous set, which shows righteousness is possible. The righteousness condemns their llives and their choices by showing how possible other, better choices are. The wicked deceive themselves by pretending they had no choice. The righteousness of the righteous shows what a lie that is.

We can't do the Lord's work using the methods of the devil. We can't force, shame or flatter a person into belief, doing so is a harm to both parties. On the other hand, the Lord's methods bless everyone. Great analysis and reminder. Great episode, thanks!
