When I discovered 'bangers' on tv I felt like i had found my own personal tv show that nobody else knew about or wanted to watch......, who would have thought how successful the show would have become. It is still my go to program , a bit like therapy! Its not just the vehicles its all the people involved, reminds me of times past when people seemed to be more careing for each other, I guess thats old age for you , keep it up , I will be watching till i croak 😄.

Ouch , you don’t like motorcycles, and combinations , not one got a second look', the car and motorcycle markets have both moved as the clients have aged , good thing as overpriced hype have kept genuine enthusiasts out

What makes the programme is thier not acting. Just being themselves. Some dry humour to. Obviolsy some editing going on, but you can tell what they say comes from experiance not a script

I think it's absolutely brilliant to see a family operation like yours thriving! I love classics, father had a DB4 series 2 when I was a kid in the 80s and I have an early DBS Vantage myself. I'm a doctor but I've got to say working at a classic car auction house would be a dream job!!!! All the best!

Great tour of the showroom guys. Amazing lots on offer. The market is going through a transition at the moment and some peoples expectations are a bit high but it looks like a good time to buy if not to sell. Great show at Scampston Hall by the way but traffic was a big problem.
When we were in north Yorkshire moors we met Derek what a really decent friendly man, he talks to you like you have known him for years 😊

I saw a blue MERCEDES BENZ 560 SEC (C126) in the video which had award ribbons on its windscreen and then later I saw the feature on this car that aired 3 weeks ago.

I am from Kenya and I watch your shows on TH-cam. Have you ever had any cars from Kenya come into your shop? Very many classic cars have been exported from Kenya to the UK since the 1980's.

I like this format it's fun.
Interesting their comments re RR Shadows……I had a 1972 T1 Bentley for 10 yrs + around 1990…..incredible value for money and low maintenance costs relatively and less ostentatious than RR!! What a drive.
I started biking in the early eighties and paid a whopping £3000 for my first proper big boys bike, a Suzuki RG500. I’ve had a ton of bikes over the years and often paid around £3000. I currently have a 1980 Suzuki GS1000 that I’ve had around 10 years and I paid just over £3000 for it!
I went there to pick up two bikes after an auction...I found the staff miserable, uncommunacative and unhelpful.....and their knowledge of bikes is thin....

Just looking at those mini vans made me cringeg with pain ,54 years ago i hit a Rover 90 head on after aquaplaning on a bend , still have pain with a load of injuries😢😢😢😢😢
Good luck with the 1000 lot auction. It will be a busy weekend for everyone involved. We love the show and came by to see you guys the last time we were in Yorkshire but were not lucky enough to coincide with you guys (All out picking up the next lots) but really enjoyed looking round. There’s nobody that can compete with Mathewsons for quality cars etc and good prices. If I was in the market for a classic car or bike, this is where I would go without doubt. I have met several members of the family through rallying and I can honestly say that they all are really nice and so easy to talk to.
Ford model a BUA882 and a Invictor black Prince used to be at a car museum in Newburn, Newcastle-upon-Tyne my bf helped out at years ago
So good to see the Rolls-Royce and Bentley models getting the love. So much nicer than the fast Fords dominating classic cars in 2023-24.
i just sold my 1977 toyota celica 2ltr GT £24,000 ,its gone im sad .now im looking for Fiat 130 coupe ,
I think I would have clocked the e-type showing an R reg plate. Loads and loads of nice stock though. If I ever I go? Phone, Credit cards and remortgage forms would be left at home! lol.
A thousand lot sale over 3 days..wow. It would be interesting to know how many vehicles were turned down in order to remain at this number. The quality bar must be pretty high but tricky darts if they want to stock something for every pocket.
You surely cannot go trying to sell people's Motorbikes for them, then have a pop at Biking before hand .

I bought a car from Mathewson's unseen relying on pictures and a video and it was exactly as described.
Well done on this one guys, hope the sale go's well or went well whenever you get this.
The "ambulance" I take it is a Citroen estate, fabulous looking cars and a a rare one on the road indeed now and few around even in their time but what a looker and very useful to so many.
Took my classic to sell firstly derek came running out the showroom screening u can’t park there then his son said he hadn’t time to see to us so we drove home. They’re ignorant people.

I am amazed at the quantity of motorcycles they have for the auction, they are so right about bikers, I'm in my late 70's and an ex motorcycle traffic cop of the 1960's and I have a 1100cc Kawasaki tucked away in the garage that I can no longer ride but unwilling to part with it. A very interesting walk round of all that's for sale in the next auction.
Brilliant video and I wasn't even tempted to fast forward. The "ambulance" comments were hilarious. The B reg Peugeot may well be someone's idea of hassle free motoring.
