I recently brought my new boat (Catalina 27) South through the Narrows, first time transiting it and wasn't aware of how strong that current was until we went from 4.5kts to a dead stop. Turned the boat around and was going 9.8 back out. Thankfully, it was strong on the easterly side of the narrows but quite weak (almost in our favor) on the west. Was very fun and looking forward to planning a trip through there again.😀
