12 years later, you finally made it to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Em. Congratulations!!!!!!!
Yeah💯🔥🙌🏿
And should’ve been!!!
I am a Rock and Roll kind of guy growing up when I heard of Run Dmc was the song with Steven Tyler and I begun to listening to rap afterwards
Finally? It takes 25 years to be eligible….he was inducted immediately by comparison.
That's a true MC, paying respect to the greats.
YEAH!!!
Fuck yea!
Max Holmqvist72 hell yea
Lmao
Absolutely agree x
I never thought I would see Eminem in a hat like that...

Its a nod to run dmc

Even his speech sounds like a rhyme
He's smooth that way

Yeah
Thats what i said
No it does not
Em really showed his love for Run DMC. This is why I appreciate Eminem, he truly gives credit to artists who deserve it.
I love your name
@@taivitolo4482 WESTIDE!!! BAD BOY KILLAZ
Run and the Beasties are what turned me on to rap.
Eninem showed his love for RUN DMC - that was an amazing speech!
Of course he should, he should have respect for those that came before him, and of music genere he's engaged in and profited off, and bit like Elvis Presley
Eminem is a student of the rap game, he really knows his shit. Ofcourse he's gonna show his love for Run DMC they're pretty much pioneers of Hip Hop.
Your point it what, the man is inducting the group so OF COURSE he has to " Show his love" and what value does this add?
Definitely an amazing speech, well done Run DMC for being inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame. I'm so proud of you
YEAH IT WAS & THEY ARE THE GREATEST!
That's in the top 5 induction speeches I've ever seen for the rock hall. Easily could be argued that this is the best. With two turntables, and a microphone, Run DMC didn't just change music, they changed American culture forever. And the songs are timeless. Great job Em.

Jesus Christ is King of kings Lord of Lords. Do not exalt another human being because they're all just flesh that will return to the earth/ground. The Lord Jesus Christ was/is the only sinless person to ever walk this planet and He died, rose from the dead and ascended unto the Father by His own righteousness. It don't get no cooler than that. Shalom
Felt like Eminem was rapping his speech
...It does have a flow to it
Thats poetry he paying his respect
I think he just speaks with flow
It also have a chorus
I thought exactly the same.
Eminem knows to pay homage to the greats. He knows that the culture wouldn't be the same and that Run DMC paved the way for the rappers today. It pisses me off that people who say that Em has fallen off, just want to turn their back and not show respect towards what he's done for rap, and how he's paved the way for so many artists today.
@McGregor's Snot Hes dropped many good projects as well
Amen
McGregor's Snot does that take away from his legacy and all he has contributed? Nobody is perfect. Who are we to judge a man that has come from nothing and gained soo much success?
McGregor's Snot you should always be honest I agree, no one should be in denial but my point is we shouldn’t turn our backs on him like if he hasn’t earned his place just because he has some albums/moments that you may not like. We can’t expect an artist to be as good as they were in their prime. He’s been doing this for over twenty years. We tend to have short term memory when it comes to artists and we hold them to such a high standard. We judge them based on their current work as oppose to their full body of work. His first three albums solidified him at this point he doesn’t owe us anything. He puts out music that he wants to put out. He still has a huge fan base that enjoys it.
McGregor's Snot Kamikaze is great. He still got hate for it though. People saying he’s sounds bitter and he’s hating on the youth- it’s like he can’t do anything right. I also didn’t think Revival was as bad as everyone made it out to be. He was trying something different. I didn’t like all the songs on the album but I can’t say the whole album sucked. If people turned their backs on him during the political stuff that to me shows they weren’t really his fans to begin with. I didn’t mean you specifically were turning your back on him but I keep seeing a lot of people in the comments harp on all his bad moments and say he’s trash which is not the case.
13 years later.....Eminem entered the rock and roll hall of fame today.....TRUE LEGEND

I wish Eminem had this energy in interviews and stuff. You can't really "get to know him" in the interviews, he's so introvert while get interviewed.

"2 turn tables.... and a mic... that's all it took to change the world."
Wow such an epic line. Almost brought chills watching someone like eminem induct these guys
Why is it everytime I see EM my heart fills with joy? I grew up as a kid listening to him.
Everyone giving Em crap for having to read his speech off a paper. He's never been a great public speaker, we all know that. His raps are tight but you can tell he doesn't like public speaking. Besides that, how would you guys feel if you were meeting your idols and had the biggest honor of inducting them into the HOF? He was probably filled with nerves that's why he kept clearing his throat. I would like to see one of you all haters hating on Em do it better.
Veronica Rodriguez Thank you
I didn’t see anyone giving Em shit for reading off a paper...?
^
I know this comment is a year old and this event is over a decade old, but I just wanted to add, despite all of that, his speech is very well written and laid out. I'm no English major, but from my English Lit classes (boring class I know) I find he does have a good format; The whole thing with the repitition of "...with just two turn tables, and a mic" just to drive the point across. I mention this because I saw an interview of his from yearsss ago here he said he was never great in school but always loved English classes, and it shows. He knows how to write a fine speech.
True talk I would be nervous.....fuck hate let's appreciate every human's skill struggle and who they are now

It is pure racism that make jamar hate this man, how can you hate on someone who love and appreciate your lifestyle so much to the point that it literally has an impact on them and changed their lives
TRUTH_SPEAKER really sweet and sincere comment. Jamar doesn’t hate Em
LJ hates Em just for clout, cause thats how he gets attention nowadays.
Yeah, because everybody is required to like Eminem. I bet you weren't yelling about "pure racism" when Eminem was going on a homophobic tirade in his songs. So it must've been for clout when he and Elton John performed together.

Eminem Best lyrical rapper to ever live period
AGREE HE IS ONE OF A KIND
Debatable.i guess u never heard of scarface, greatest storyteller in hip hop
Best *rapper to ever live
It's kind of hard to make that claim, but I agree to - "best famous lyrical rapper to ever live"
He's undoubtedly my favorite rapper of all time. I believe Em does deserve to be in a museum somehow. This guy is a legend. My comment above references that not all writing is famous, some artists/ art don't become recognized. Not that it's not good enough to be recognized either, sometimes it's the chance of fame that slips from people and/or some people don't want that kind of recognition. I'm not discrediting your comment either though. Eminem most certainly is hands down the GOAT rapper because of his virtuoso, lifestyle, talent, and career. I'm just saying too in terms of lyrics/ writers you never know what's always truly out there.

12 years later we will finally see eminem inducted into the rock in roll hall of fame can’t wait.
Run DMC. My heroes, my boys, my hip hop legends. Well done Run DMC.
Eminem so humble and will always give respect where its due. He never forgets where his inspiration came from and he makes sure to remind himself that everyday. Even today he looks back on how things use to be for himself and that if it wasn't for his love and respect for well known Rap artist, that he wouldn't be the Eminem we have today. Unlike some today's artist, he gives respect and acknowledges who was there before him.
Only Hall of Fame I'll be inducted in is the alcohol of fame
On the wall of shame.
Rap God lol
He got inducted finally🐐
I'll never forget the first time I heard Run-DMC. It was 1984, I was in camp. A girl pressed play on her cassette, and out came "Dumb Girl". I was hooked. I brought my double cassette player to camp the next day to record the tape. I was hooked on hip-hop and still am today. Almost all of hip-hip sucks these days and would have been laughed off the face of the planet in the 80's and 90's. Long live Run-DMC and the rest of the groundbreakers who made hip-hop what it was. There's too many to name.
The Sashman Same thing here, i went to summer camp and heard "Raising Hell' and especially Peter Piper. The other album that was played was Back in Black by ACDC some good music all around.
After Run-DMC, all I listened to after that was rap.
His speech is faster than most of today's rappers songs!!! Mumble rappers still watching this trying to figure out what he's saying and how to spit like that haha rofl!!!
