You couldn't tell us nothing the Summer of 1987!!! He even had a working car phone installed!! We definitely had SWAG even back then!! I'll never forget those memories!! Tragically, Steve lost his older brother Brian, in the winter of 1993!! He was shot to death by a vigilante police officer, who exacted his revenge on Steve's brother, after chasing him through some low-income housing projects!! The cop shot Brian 15 times in the back after he discovered his partner was dying from a gunshot wound to head. He was laying face down on the ground in the snow handcuffed and unarmed!! I recently reconnected with Steve on Facebook, almost 30 years after the last time we spoke or saw each other! He just stopped talking to me and disappeared from Facebook altogether mysteriously. LL COOL J was pretty much how I got into hip-hop. My parents took me to see a 1990 movie called The Hard Way starring Michael J Fox and LL COOL J had a small part in it. There's a scene at the beginning in a club where Mamma Said Knock You Out plays. I was totally floored by how awesome and badass that song was. For my birthday I asked my Mom to buy me the cassette tape and that was it. Hooked for life on hip-hop. Real hip-hop will never die! Thank you LL COOL J.

He is still amazing live after all of these years. Saw him at Arnold Hall in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1991. Best concert of my life! Saw him again in Denver in 1993! He never ceases to amaze me! Ive always loved him. Not just just for his rapping and amazing looks but he’s such a great family man and actor, and a down to earth guy who seems to really appreciate his fans. LL when are you gonna do another movie?
