- Its been a long wait, but the fully redesigned 2024 #FordMustang is finally here! It's now called the #S650Mustang internally, and it rides on a heavily modified version of the S550 chassis. This #MustangGTPerformance is the top dog for now and it continues to use the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine under the hood paired to either a 6-speed MT or 10-speed AT.

What do you guys think of the new Mustang and what is your new favorite feature? We’re kinda loving the remote rev feature… annoying the neighbors could be fun with that one 🙃 Also, Ford did announce the Hp target after we filmed this, they’re claiming 480+ HP from the 5.0L V8! That’s a bit more than we expected!
You never did show the engine in the car so I can't answer the question.
It's okay. These first generation digital dashes are rough. It's just a big rectangle on the dash.
@@musickmanful It's a Gen 4 Coyote with dual throttle bodies. New steel oil pan with extra cooling systems for the performance version. The throttle bodies have fresh air tubes that run to the front corners of the front grill. The engines are still being tested, so actual horsepower rating aren't currently available, but the GT performance and dark horse should be solidly over 500 horsepower with a power bsnd over 7000 RPMs. The EcoBoost is also a new version. I have very little information regarding it.
I personally like the previous S550 generation this new update re design mustang is not my taste i haven't been a fan of many of the new cars that have come out this year I'm still not used to the re-design of all of them I think the older generations look better in every way in my opinion
Definitely like the new body style, and hadn’t seen an interior of a recent mustang so what I’m seeing looks great. The only problem will be availability as many automakers are opting to go with an “on-Demand” system whereby you have to order it (with no chance to negotiate the price or test drive the vehicle.
Why don’t these morons running these manufacturers and some dealers just put customers first for once and carry cars on the lot like they used to? The ones that do will gain customers and the ones that don’t will lose out.
This looks better than I expected. I thought they will completely mess this up.
I guess I disagree I think it’s uglier in all regards. Interior looks like it was designed by a jr designer who gets way too hot and bothered when talking about EVs. Exterior looks like it took cues from kia and the Camaro and over all it looks massive. I typically like new car designs but not so much here.
But the freaking interior 🤮 looks like kia sorento

Camaro fans will love the rear quarter though.
I really like the exterior design, definitely looks modern. I wished they would have made the dual screen more integrated, it looks like they just throw two tablets together on the dash.

Have you seen the actual S650 at an auto show. The infotainment screen is seamless with a full clear glass cover like used in vehicles costing twice as much with a bright First class display

The Coyote V8 in the new S650 is a Gen 4 with twin throttle bodies with air boxes going to the front grill corners. Even the EcoBoost is a completely new engine. The overall S650 is amazing with an interior to match. Ford Lowered the belt line providing more head room. Big improvement over the S550

2024?tat will be the first year of the new gen... that trim will not come til very late 20s... the current S550 initiated in 2015 and the first GT500 was in 2019/20
I don’t think they’re going to make another gas powered GT500. I’m almost certain that it will either be a fully electric Shelby or maybe a Hybrid but that’s a big maybe.
Not gt500, but boss the 6.8 hasn't been confirmed or denied
@@johng81818 this generation will continue to ve Internal Combustion energy, mainly, probably the 8th gen will be hybrid or full EV, but this going Electric shit will not last much after the lithium prices skyrocket as there is simply not enough of itvon earth so we will br forced to return to Internal combustion but with carbon neutral or carbon positive gass like the one being developed by Porche and nissan
I like the new styling it looks aggressive it's very attractive. I'm not a fan of these digital gauge cluster things. I prefer the analog gauges and actual real buttons. Who do these car manufacturers think they're fooling they're saving tons of money with these cheap screens.
exactly...doubt you will understand but its like when digital synths took over in the 80s.....made all the knobs into buttons and screen menu diving instead for the sake of being "sleek and modern" it was just cost cutting...thankfully knobs came back, but it took DECADES, screens might dominate for years before we see a resurgence of analog gauges

Am I the only one who think's it's starting to look like a Camero? It's going to take a few more months for it to really grow on me, bust first impressions, I do really like this. Ford did a nice job.

Wow, really loving that J-brake, you're the first if not the only one I've seen show how it works. Thanks for that, to me that's a worthy upgrade but depending if they got rid of the MT-82 transmission, that's gonna be my make or break to upgrade for me.

He gets a ZONk for not knowing how to reverse the manual shifter. Said the rear camera was not working but you need to pull up on the ring shifter and then push to the left 🤣
Great preview, I must say I think it looks pretty good on the outside. I do however despise that enormous digital dash.

Loved the car as he walked around the outside, then literally got sick to my stomach once a saw that dash. How can Soyfan call this an improvement? I hate when he gets excited over bigger screens and infotainment.

I dig that color 👍🏾. I never understood why Ford didn't offer a factory sunroof on 05 and newer mustang's. Not everyone wants a convertible to enjoy open air motoring. What would have been cool is if they offered a targa top or even a t-top on this model.
Probably would decrease headroom and it’s bad enough as is.

I like the fact they widen the rear corner panels to give it a more aggressive look. I was thinking of buying a S550 and putting a wide body kit on it however I think this cut# the mustard for me. Front end styling is more modern/ aggressive as well. All positives from my vantage point.
I love how the turbo four makes people cry over it needing a v8 when it comes with a v8🤣🤣

It’s so awesome unreal engine worked on the graphics for the new mustang. I think that it will help the automotive world explore different ways we can make our car interiors look cool.
All those cars still on Unreal Engine 4 are gonna be so jealous!

FINALLY a manufacturer created a retro gauge display for a digital dash! I’ve been hoping they would do that for all sorts of brands, Honda, VW, etc. And it makes sense that they’d use the fox body gauge design since that was the first mustang to have the “5.0” badging on it! Because of that, this is the first digital display I’m excited about.
SO glad they’re keeping the 5.0 - doesn’t take a marketing executive to know that everyone would be pissed if they dropped it.

Blown Away! this is literally the First mustang that I'd Love to own...if I could afford one! Gorgeous body lines from all angles , the interior is a Massive improvement..the thing just oozes quality...absolutely love it! the nose on this beauty puts the new Z to shame.
Its a filtered version of the current one.
Front looks like a hyundai elantra and a Maserati had a baby. Looks good but a bit dated though.
Side looks smoothed out like a bmw 4 series.
Rear quarter fender and windows looks like a camaro.
Rear is very elantra as well. Remove the lights and it's basically the same shape. The folded crease look.
Interior could be anything.
I like the direction especially how they changed the interior and the instrument panel. The steering wheel would be nice if they had some stitching on the edges. The rear it’s a bit iffy, but overall it looks really good. Great review 👌🏽

Really reminds me of the 2010 camero all over, not bad thing either cause that’s a good looking car.
Love the Mustang and that they now put matching brembo breaks on the rear. Prior gens only had matching on front and looked kind od an afterthought.. thanks for review. Definitely getting one.. btw.. have to pull up on the reverse relese under the knob to engage reverse. That probably why reverse cam did not engage 😊… its happened to me before 😂.. Anyways good detialed review. Keep them coming. Can you do one for the dark horse when they are available. Want to see if its worth the extra money over the GT.

Looks great aside from the cheap looking dual screens and lack of climate control buttons. Nothing makes an interior look cheaper than screens that aren't integrated into the dash.
Unfortunately most manufacturers are doing this or in the process of doing so to their entire line up.
Agreed. I don't understand why manufacturers keep doing this. It will not age well. It looks tacky. It is an absolute deal breaker. It could have a 1000 horsepower. I will not own a car with climate controls in the screen, and a computer that probably won't last 5 years stuck onto the dashboard.

As a former 2015 and current 2020 model owner, I think they've done a good (not great) job at modernizing this car. The interior, which needed it most, I am happy to see has been thoroughly modernized (especially heated and cooled Recaros). The updated consoles and displays are lights out in my opinion...wonderful job! The front and rear fascias I was not a fan of initially but they're at least cohesive and clean as opposed to what GM initially did with the 6 gen Camaro. I really love some of the new color options...this blue is sick. Overall, I'm impressed with what they've done and I'll be in line to scoop up the Dark Horse.

@@skip741x3 I own a 2012 V6 Premium and I love that generation body as I feel it was the last of the muscle design. But it is interesting to see where they take the Mustang. One thing I know from checking the Ford page, they are no longer affordable.

This is the mustang to get! And I think if you have a older mustang you should upgrade to this one because I believe this will be the best mustang to get in terms of tec and power before becoming electric
I kinda miss the fighter jet switches, but I’m interested to see what can be done with the dual digital gauges.
Yeah those were definitely special looking and feeling switches. Ford missed a beat there for sure.
Don’t like the iPad look of the dashboard. Otherwise it’s a beautiful automobile. Like the refresh of the front and the steering wheel looks much better. Don’t like the redesign of the rear taillights. Great review 👍
I agree. The dashboard looks like a video game! Great, now on a rainy day the owner can sit in the garage and play Call of Duty. Looks ridiculous.
I liked this car in this video so much I ordered one. Almost the same spec but without the black roof/spoiler. Hopefully I'll get it sometime in July!

Is it just me or does the profile almost look similar to the 6th gen Camaro? I has a 15' mustang that I loved. Not sure how I feel about the look of this one. The front looks decent but I am not really digging the rear.

edit: 14:24 If you didn't notice, the interior was designed to resemble the Foxbody Mustangs interior. Hence why there is a Gauge Cluster option named that.
But it doesn't look like one. If you covered all the badges you wouldn't be able to tell it is a Mustang at all. But which kinda is the point I guess, companies just need to ditch their own classic herritage and cues

A very bold choice going with a 3liter turbo diesel. Specially when its combined with a 17kwh battery and 4 100hp motors.

This looks really really good. The interior don’t look cheap. I’ve been looking for another manual car or a v8 car in general . I think Ford might have sold on this.
In my opinion, the s550 looks better outside but also has better interior styling (albeit the build quality wasn’t the best)

Suddenly I want a Mustang. I think Ford did a pretty amazing job. A well done evolution over the last gen. Side profile looks great and not like the comparison with the BMW 4 series, finally! And the rear reminds of me of the first gen Mustang. 👏🏻
The rear is my favourite part of the styling. It reminds of an evolution of the 05-09 boxy rear. The 2010-2014 rear looked too squish to me and the 2015+ looked like a heavy weight had been dropped on it and squat it. This new rear look is awesome.

I have a beautiful 68 Mustang I've owned for 45 years now. I've never had any other Mustang, I'll never sell it, but this one, yeah, maybe I'll have to add another pony in my garage next to it!!
