Hi Chi Keng, I also remain quite positive on Baba. I'm already in (small) green numbers. If it helps, I did so: I had the Baba ADRs (at a great loss), but sold them (at the end of 2022 and 2023) for tax loss harvesting (this reduced both my average cost and my taxes), and just the next day I bought them back (I sold the ADRs and simultaneously bought the HK shares; in my jurisdiction, shares and ADRs are considered as different stocks, so there's no problem; maybe in Singapore it's different). I just copied (with small variations) what Munger did: He bought, then he (exactly) doubled down, and 1 month later he cut his position (exactly) in half (tax loss harvesting adapted to the US tax code).

Political risks can last pretty long. It could be a good idea to accept some loss on China stocks and redeploy them to AI stocks instead.

it is normal not to be a bull when the market is down, I still think the rally in Chinese stock is beginning. The US market look like a mutant to me, it is abnormal.

I think you missed why tencent grew this quarter. It was because of reddit IPO.
Reddit is a 10b us mkt cap company. Tencent owns 11% of Reddit. Tencent market cap is 480b us mkt cap. 1b (11% of 10b) out of 480b doesn’t really move the needle too much imo

Retail is too hard. BABA looks very cheap but just like JD and PDD u won’t know the winners. Bet on KWEB or FXI instead. Tencent is another story. Clear winner in my opinion. They all have a whole ecosystem of winners.
