"Cabin on a cliff" "Shed on a cliff" & not forgetting; "Boat on a cliff" "The Cliff Trilogy" Spectacular job on the Door. Greetings from British Buckinghamshire. I so want to live in British Columbia!
Isn't it funny how our priorities change as we get older. When I was younger, I always loved the city life. But that view you have is just gorgeous - and no city in the world can match it. It's simply God's handy work. All the best, Mich.
You are definitely not your average union carpenter. I would call you an artistic carpenter. Everything I've seen you work on comes out like a beautiful work of art. Well done.
For me, it’s like the best of both worlds. Videos of nomads living in their cars/vans and sharing their adventures and then adventures of DIY homes off grid. I must say that when I saw your videos, I found me another world to venture on. Love what your doing and I’m learning a lot watch you do these things. Keep it up, Michy .. you have a lot to share 👍
Almost forgot .. SOLIGNUM (at least it’s a name I know) wood preservative for that deck you made for your shed. Refurbished wood - make it last, coat it with solignum - or whatever name or brand it’s called in your part of the world
It's not just shed, it's more than a shed. It's a reflection of you. Arts and crafty. Really nice job. I wouldn't change anything. With all that strange weather, your looking excellent.
You always show a working blend of modern technology and old fashion do it yourself determination without erasing any bit of vulnerability...honesty and truth on an equal footing, thank you for your videos.
Your shed is sooo awesome!! You are really a craftswomen of note..always look forward to your utube clips ..from sunny South Africa. 😎A true inspiration , you are!
What a wonderful little shed Michelle! It's more a tiny house than a shed. I can really relate to you saying you could "live in this". It looks so cozy and that view!! I really love your videos. They are all so full of your wonderful, quirky humanity. Thank you for sharing so much of your life with us. It's a pleasure to follow along on your journey and looking forward to more.
Your little shed came out really nice! I like the metal around the door (looks sharp) and your door looks fantastic. Nicely done and "Clide taught me to lift my leg....." 🤣😅😂🤣😅😂
You are blessed with a vision that not all have. You see something in your mind’s eye and you are able to make it happen. The result is beautiful. You and Steve are smart and adventurous. You are so fortunate to have one another.
Yesterday I was thanking God for my wrap around porch and it is my place to drink coffee and do nothing, think and not think. I love your videos it is pure joy to watch you problem solve, persevere, and dance for joy at a job well done. Your tenacity is wonderful to see. I have to laugh sometimes when Steve watches you work I can't tell if it's pride or pain. As if he is indulging you in more crazy antics or just really admiring his Honey doing more cool stuff. The black makes that door pop and really sets it off ( visual frame) your sense of design is remarkable. Thanks for putting in the time making these vids. Now I've got to put down my coffee and get busy!
The shed is a mountain top gem! All of the little details, like the rope trim around the rafters...perfection! The door is the centerpiece with just the right amount of black for contrast. You are a gifted multi-media artist. Love your channel!
OK. I'm in love with the chipmunk. That said, your "shed" is gorgeous! Quite simply a work of art. I love your creativity and I so envy your patience with the process. I'm constantly trying to balance my ADD with my OCD lol and patience is not one of my virtues but I'm constantly working on it. Tho I'm very patient when working on my music, I feel like I try to rush everything else. I'm working on that. When I watch you work and just continue to pick away at the process so to speak, it has a calming effect. I do remind myself to enjoy the process when I'm doing things and I guess that's where the patience with music comes in since I enjoy that immensely. I so love your channel! Beautiful quirkiness!!
KUDOS on completion! Looks super! I like your choice for the metal around the door - kinda like an outline / accent to highlight that interesting door = tastefully done, methinks 😎 A great little meditation / relaxation mini-bungalow with a gorgeous view 🙌🤓
That little shed is very cool, and you are right, it needs a deck, and that is an absolute imperative for making the space functional, in a lot of ways, because without that extra square footage, the usefulness of the shed becomes very limited. Very nice job! Thanks for sharing!!
Michy, thank you for not storking the chainsaw cut and getting the C-clamp to hold your work piece down instead of your foot! Yikes, you remind me of me in the shortcuts we think we can take (which we can 9 out of 10 times). //. Your vision for the eclectic use of materials has resulted in a structure that belongs in that environment and is extremely pleasing to my eye - so many shapes, lines and materials that work together. Brava!
Michy...your little hut/shed came out terrific!!! It perfectly represents you. A little rustic and whimsically quirky (but in a thing of beauty kinda way). You rock!
I think your shed is ready to be an Airbnb 🤣. I really can’t imagine waking up, sitting up in that bed and looking out the window. That view is breathtaking. Amazing build but I’m not surprised in the least. My favorite channel by far!
how have I not discovered your videos before? I will now check out all your others. New subscriber. You are one super-talented woman. The shed is one of the loveliest I have seen. 77-yr old lady here who loves woodworking projects, especially done by women.
You should get a solar power pack so you can charge your tools at the tiny house. Anyways I just wanted to say hi and thank you for taking us along for the adventure. As always good luck and God Bless.
I want to echo every positive comment in the replies below. Love the door. You're amazing. Keep making fun videos for all of us living vicariously through you.
Micheal, you are truly a very talented gorgeous woman. The cabin looks 👀 amazing. The only thing I would suggest is the hinges. You should miter the door frame and the door so the hinges are inside so no-one can unscrew the screws and take the door off.
Your Inspector Sean came by last night and he's given you his Red Seal of Approval! Congratulations! He did offer a piece of advice from recently reading his Worksafe BC Manual. He can't recall the specific regulation but he thinks it goes something like this...."Your hand is not a hammer"! Hahaha, he's such a pain. "Chipmonk Acres" is looking better every episode!
The black tin was, aesthetically, the best choice! It makes the door pop, beautifully married next to, the live edge. It's like looking at 2 pieces of art, next to each other. Great job!
I'll consider the shed done but, I'm not done!!! You're too much Michy, you got me smiling! Nice build to store your stuff for your build! Yay for the zip line! 😉 👌 😼🐶
Looks great Michelle. Maybe a roof over the porch to sit outside in the rain. Higher than the shed roof. Overlap the back roof so you can still see the beauty of the front of the shed. Great job 👍👍.
OK... I was doing fine. Cruising along with my smile muscles having an nice rest, not working out at all. Then you gave us the bit about Clyde and lifting you leg....! It cracked me up and is has been down hill ever since. Now my smile muscles are all tired and sweaty again. I just have to say it. I love your shed. It is a real beauty. And Michelle, I love you to bits...!!
Ok Michelle you did it again. I never get tired of watching you create your' awesome pro-jects. I am also a huge fan of building and creating stuff, but sometimes you make me jealous. Such a great imagination. I love the door and the trim is perfect. You never sease to amaze me.
Michelle, I really enjoyed watching you build the shed. I just found your channel a couple days ago. I love the door and your style with the live edges on the front. The trolley is a pretty useful idea also. I'm definitely going to be following along with the cabin build. You're a pretty amazing lady. Your lake view is absolutely amazing. Glad I discovered you. Love your stories too. Oh and when you lever something like the back corner, move your block as close to what you're lifting as you can. it will be much easier to lift. You need a wooden block and tackle rigged to one of those trees to help you lift the beams for your cabin too. Save your back.🌹🏵🌻
I really must say that is a very good job you have done on your cabin. Its looks as pretty as you. You are a very good carpenter. I love watching your adventures. You talked about the elderly and my wife and I have her mother and my dad he is 90 ,she is 86. One has dementia the other has alzheimer so we dont get to go anywhere much. I love your videos they are a relief to me to watch. Thank you please be careful and stay safe.
I have to admit, I was pretty much looking forward to this video today. So: C O N G R A T S to (more or less) finishing this project!!! I remember the video, when you made the door with all these nice slices of a tree. It fits in there perfectly and it suits the whole shed. So, be happy there and thanx for sharing! Take care and be well, til the next time then! Yours, the silver fox, David 😉🦊
Great piece of work!! The list of comments is astronomical and says a lot. I could not reach the end of them in any reasonable amount of time. When I view the finished project, I visualize how you might doll it up for special occasions ( thanksgiving, halloween, valentines day, etc.) I wouldn't be surprised if you spent more time in there than the cabin when it is complete. It looks like a great location to shut the door and contemplate.
OUTSTANDING SKILLS ONE GREAT MIND. LOOKS GREAT AND DIY THE ULTIMATE FEEL. TAKE CARE OF THE POOCHES. STAY SAFE. TWO FLORIDIANS SO AMAZED WITH YOUR TALENTS. CLIFF DWELLING NEXT. GONNA BE EXCITING. GREAT CHANNEL. THANKS
Hey Michelle, Excellent absolutely FANTASTIC JOB! Seriously I'm SO impressed with your skill level and ingenuity at working things out getting thimgs done just playing it by ear and it comes out looking TOTAL professional looking! The deck you did an amazing Job trim the lot! Properly impressive! And I think you made the correct choice with teh trim around the door for sure eye drawn to the door instead of being too busy! BRILLIANT! (Shame you couldn't Shou Sugi Ban the wood for longevity) but guess you could do it afterwards and just have some water ready so it doesn't get out of control (you do run the risk of it going up so debatable) its SOLID WOOD MOSTLY COVERED AND Should LAST A FAIR amount of time (you can always torch it after of you want to to protect it once you finish the door latch etc maybe wet down the front of the cabin so it can't catch and you should be ok id imagine?) Anyway great video! Know you and Steve still gutted about Scout but you can't do anything to change it and finding his remains might be even more traumatic for you both just a thought.. Well done and All the best from London 👍❤️🙏😎🏴
nein, es sieht nicht doof aus, es ist eine wunderschöne kleine Hütte, die du fantastisch gemacht hast. Ich schaue immer alle deine Videos. Liebe Grüße aus Berlin / Germany
Awesome! What a great piece of work. Nice job on the shed. Definitely should be proud of that one. Dang those eyes! Side note: If you or Steve weld. You can weld a bolt to the top and bottom of the railway spike at about 90 degrees. Drill a hole through the door at the top and bottom of the railway spike and shove the bolts through and secure with nuts and washers. AND, if you understood what I meant you will have yourself a railway spike door handle. ALSO, consider notching out the door and door frame where the door hinges are and installing the hinges between the frame and door. It would suck knowing a racoon or bear unscrewed the hinges and stole your caulking gun. ;D. All the best to you.
I love that slab siding and the door is way cool! You're setting the bar pretty high for the "cabin build", now you have great storage and safe over night sleeping, well done! 😁🔨🪚
Your shed/tiny cabin is amazing! It's not goofy, it's eclectic, rustic, and fun! I thought you might use horseshoes or something, for the rafter closures, but when the rope and whipping yarn came out, I was smiling. You certainly know your shit. It's easy to see how happy that little structure is making you, (and all us commenters) and no one can blame you for that beaming smile of pride at the end. Great job, MG! 😁
VERY cool ! Well done ! That 'shed' will come in extremely handy when you're putting the sleeper cabin together ! Gonna be hard to top that door though, it looks awesome !!!
Meeting you and what a gorgeous view...that alone is worthy to be there for...setting at a nice place and enjoying the everyday nature....and if you make a varanda you will enjoy the space you have better😉😎

Isn't it funny how our priorities change as we get older. When I was younger, I always loved the city life. But that view you have is just gorgeous - and no city in the world can match it. It's simply God's handy work. All the best, Mich.
Billy how about "gods "handy work when it comes to slavery
Not goofy. It fits your personality! Imaginative fantasy.
Cutest shed with the best view that I've ever seen.
You are definitely not your average union carpenter. I would call you an artistic carpenter. Everything I've seen you work on comes out like a beautiful work of art. Well done.
Not goofy; quirk and bespoke. I love it. A great example of creativity, perseverance and ingenuity 😊👏👏👏

well done young lady. love that view.
I keep waiting for a forest elf to come out from around the back, perhaps with a chipmunk on her shoulder. Enchanting!
I think baby cabib looks brilliant, you are brilliant, thank you for the always interesting entertaining videos✔😊

I love the shed door. Do you have any footage on how you built it?
Great little shed . Was fun tagging along on your build

Your mid-air circular saw action is a marvel to behold, though it's also a bit nerve-racking. Take care!

It looks beautiful, a fairy’s home in the forest! 🇨🇦.
For a shed that started out to be a storage shed, it turned into a fancy shed that you could sleep in. Nice job!
I think you do very nice finish work for someone who says they don’t know what they are doing. The cabin is awesome especially that beautiful door
Every effort of yours was worth it.
Congratulations Michelle your project turned out amazing.
Using a hand plane and building upside down, you continue to impress.
The patina of the deck is insane !!!! People pay huge prices for this is the shops....
Nice piece of work that shed !!!!
The shed looks great. Y'all take care and have a blessed weekend and I'll see you on your next video.
I would say You did a Fantastic Job. Keep Dreaming to get to the Next Task. You are Terrific. Thank You for Sharing your Adventures.
I often start a project and wander off the original idea. This actually lets the project take on a life of it’s own. It looks bohemian style. 😊
Looks great Michelle. Maybe a roof over the porch to sit outside in the rain. Higher than the shed roof. Overlap the back roof so you can still see the beauty of the front of the shed. Great job 👍👍.
I know - but I really need to move on now to building the cabin 😁
A fabulous and quirky little shed. Michy, you're an amazingly clever woman!
Admire your skills & watching you bring this shed to life... Amazing... really...
OK... I was doing fine. Cruising along with my smile muscles having an nice rest, not working out at all. Then you gave us the bit about Clyde and lifting you leg....! It cracked me up and is has been down hill ever since. Now my smile muscles are all tired and sweaty again.

Michelle,
I really enjoyed watching you build the shed.
Save your back.🌹🏵🌻
Great job Michelle, the view from your spot there is incredible. Maybe to honour Scout's memory you could name it the Scoutlook Cabin.
Ya I’ve been trying to think of a name for the shed in his honour. Definitely like yours and will put it on the list! Thank you!
You are all that and a bag of chips! So talented, beautiful, witty! Love your show!
What an artistic talent. I love that shed. What you do with what's available is amazing.
The door is awesome and the black metal, along with the black hinges really highlight it. Very nicely done!
Michelle your truly one amazing lady you have a amazing god given talent congratulations I enjoy watching your videos I admire the way you think

Привет! Ты такая живая, веселая и юморная! Молодец, хороший домик - золотые руки! Спасибо, что делишься своей жизнью с нами!

Hey Michelle,
Excellent absolutely FANTASTIC JOB! BRILLIANT! (Shame you couldn't Shou Sugi Ban the wood for longevity) but guess you could do it afterwards and just have some water ready so it doesn't get out of control (you do run the risk of it going up so debatable) its SOLID WOOD MOSTLY COVERED AND Should LAST A FAIR amount of time (you can always torch it after of you want to to protect it once you finish the door latch etc maybe wet down the front of the cabin so it can't catch and you should be ok id imagine?)
Anyway great video!
I think you made the right choice with the tin, it all look great! like you said, looks more like a house than a tool shed.
Bahaha, Michelle, you’re learning from Clyde. Such an awesome She Shed. 🥳
Great Job on the shed. You are a very talented Lady.Enjoy watching your projects.
I would say it looks absolutely Michy .
Looks amazing. My favourite is the door. Love the contrast of the tin on the side. Totally rocks.
Looks awesome! Great job! Love the door! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊
It definitely has character. Awesome job
I AGREE!!!
Very outstanding design and workgirlship!
