Dear Deirdre, I’m so glad you switched over to a “Sponge”... Being very new to your Channel, l was beginning to have some doubts. I was so pleasantly surprised, everything came out stunning! This is so simple that I’m going to do it with my Grandkids to make Christmas gifts for their “other” Grandmas. (Yes, there’s definitely some “Grandma Competition” going on here! 🙄 I loved your idea that this is not permanent, that it can be washed off and repainted for the next holiday. That’s absolutely genius! ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I’ve been binge watching your videos and I just wanted to say that I think that you’re amazing ! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and talent with us ! 👏👏
I’ve used mod podge with liquid food coloring and they dried streaky and puddled. I’ve used the same food coloring with school glue and still came out streaked. I was so disappointed because I love the look that you got. So I’m going to try again. Thank you so much for sharing. I’m loving your channel. 💕😊
Just a quick little tip for gluing the jar and candlestick.... if you're anything like me, I have OCD which makes centering the two as close to perfect as you can a bit difficult. I found that when I turned over the vase and lightly marked the center of the bottom, it was a lot easier to center the candlestick which also meant less of a mess on vase from the glue. Beautiful jar.
I have been binge watching your channel since I found you a couple of days ago. LOOOVE your channel and all the amazing things you do! Since I started my full time job I lost interest in up cycling things, you have giving me my interest back so thank you!

Hi Deidra! I love your videos!! You have inspired me to start massive crafting!!!! I was wondering if you thought mica powder would work with the glue to color the glass!
@@OurUpcycledLife I was told the name during one of my children's school trips and then we all visited a pumpkin patch and my son couldn't wait to tell the people who worked there that he knew the name of the pumpkin stem, after that all the kids remembered what it was called!
I was watching your video on how to paint the inside of a wine bottle. I love all of your videos. Pretty much the only one I watch. So after I stay in the inside of a glass bottle, like a wine bottle, and it dries, can I Marge podge a reverse photo transfer on it
Really amazing i love all ur projects , i have a question can i use any white glue instead of school glue ? Or can o use anything instead of school glue ? Thanks
Hi Deidre, I watched both the "brush on" & "oven baked" methods to tint glass. Which method is best to use? I noted the brush on method can be washed off. Is the baked method permanent?
It’s not recommended to have outdoors, because if it comes in contact with water, it will peel off. You could spray it with poly acrylic sealer, but I would still probably not hold up too good

Hi Deidra! I love your videos!! You have inspired me to start massive crafting!!!!
I was wondering if you thought mica powder would work with the glue to color the glass!
Great idea!! I have not done that but Im sure it would work then seal with a poly acrylic or mod podge. Thanks for watching Shelby
Puduncles is the technical name for a pumpkin stem...
Really!! I have never heard that before. Always learning something new
@@OurUpcycledLife I was told the name during one of my children's school trips and then we all visited a pumpkin patch and my son couldn't wait to tell the people who worked there that he knew the name of the pumpkin stem, after that all the kids remembered what it was called!
Beautiful
Thanks !
Can I use mica powder for coloring instead of the food coloring?
Thank you so much for sharing your art. ❤❤
I don’t know I have never tried! Test it out ❤️
Love it
Thanks for watching

Yes you sure can

Any white glue will work❤️
@@OurUpcycledLife many thanks ❤❤❤
Do you melt the napkin into the candle, if so, I will need to tell my recipient to not burn candle to paper for fire safety reasons?
What sealant would you suggest to make the seal ater proof (if you are using for an outside mobile for example)? Thank you.
Not sure if would hold up outside
I'm new to your channel, fantastic ideas! My question is regarding the candles, what's the process for getting the logo on the candle?
Welcome! Glad to have you following along. Here is the link to the tutorial for the custom candle technique th-cam.com/video/n9jlhvnaH_E/w-d-xo.html
You don't bake the glass after painting outsides like you did when you painted the inside of jars?
You can but will also air dry easy because not inside the jar. Thanks for watching Lois
Hi Deidre, I watched both the "brush on" & "oven baked" methods to tint glass. Which method is best to use? I noted the brush on method can be washed off. Is the baked method permanent?
Both work great but both will wash off neither is permanent, just for decor Thanks for watching Anna
How did you apply the napkin to the candle sticks?

Hey sweeti can I use this tint to remove scratches from my window glass
I’m insure
Does the poly acrylic seal it so you can wash it?? If not how would you seal this so it’s permanent? Thank you!😊
Yes it does
@@OurUpcycledLife Thank you!!
How does this hold up outdoors? Can it be sprayed clear over?
It’s not recommended to have outdoors, because if it comes in contact with water, it will peel off. You could spray it with poly acrylic sealer, but I would still probably not hold up too good
Could you use this same method to tint a mirrored surface?
Sure can
Can this be used to put in your garden outside?
This is best for inside home decor. I don’t think it was sold out pretty well outside.
After I stain a glass bottle from the inside, can I put a mod podge reverse transfer on the bottom
I mean on the bottle
Sure can
Would it be okay to use clear glue vs white glue?
Yes you could
How would you stain glass to go outside in the weather ?
I wouldn't recommend this to be used outside. It would be very hard to seal
How to seal something like this for outdoors?
Outdoor poly acrylic sealer
Is school glue the same as pva glue?
Yep same thing! Thanks for watching
Can u plz tell the colours names which u mix with glue
Sorry I did this video awhile ago and unsure
Was I the only one who thought you would draw a Jack O'Lantern face on that jar?
That would have looked cute! Thanks for watching !
could I use paint to color it
Yes you could ! Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed Sharon
It looks like chocolate pudding colour a colour
Hey, my mom's name is "Deidra", too! You don't see that name a lot.
No you don’t!!
Does this rinse off or become permanent
This is not permanent it is for decor only
If one wants to repurpose/disassemble the jar/candle holder/pedestal maybe use a glue gun to adhere them?
I am looking for something that is waterproof
I am unsure this is not water
If you bake them in the oven thr color won't wash off.
Yes that will help a little bit but they will still not be washable
im sorry but that looks terrible
Aowsem ideas.
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed
