I do think it's a disservice that so many people glossed over this game without giving it a second thought. I've put ~550 hours in the game, and still find myself coming back to it regularly. Also, the soundtrack is golden.
I love this game so much, it just has the Immersive Sim curse. It's just so good that it can't be recognized by modern mainstream audiences and is doomed to be a "cult classic" unfortunately. Just like Prey (2017), Deus Ex, and System Shock before it. I hate it but I am thankful these games exist. A game called Core Decay looks like it may be trying to pick up the flag.
Man the number of comments I've seen from people who bounced off Prey because they thought it was an FPS... I thought it was pretty obvious that the game calls for a mixed approach and so right away I was studying the environment, conserving resources and looking for other ways to sneak by or dispatch my foes. And yet so many threads of people complaining that they ran out of ammo and don't know what to do. 0/10 🤦
I don't think this game is that great. It's ok for a bit of fun but your basically going through the same ship layouts constantly. And the story is very limited.
Lol just because you're in a small subset of people who enjoy boring games doesn't mean it's a gem. It means it's a game tailor made for people who enjoy this, which is inherently very boring and slow. To each their own
@@hyeboi I wouldn't say it's a boring game. It's pretty exciting sneaking around the halls making decisions on where to explore and when to cut your loses and run.
Just beat the game yesterday 💀after sitting on it for almost two years. It’s so fun! Even after all the upgrades, you can just keep playing and scavenging through space. I wanna upgrade my last four weapons and try to take on some pirates without torpedoes
Your video is all it took to get my best buddy to buy this, he'd heard me talk about it and was interested in it, but he lives out of state. This was the best way I could think of to properly introduce him and it worked like a charm!
I just started playing this last night. Got a rare 2 hour session just dedicated to this and ended after i got the first big loot it told me to get. Died a lot and am now looking for some tips to get going while at work haha
This game is absolutely terrific. And it's that rare thing: it captures both the British sense of humour and our quirky science fiction. I do love American scifi but ours is just so much more unique.
I just got the game Wednesday and I absolutely love this game made alot of progress, and took out my first pirate ship with a torpedo and got the cluster Gernade and upgraded my pistol and stapler to level 2 and got the kitty bomb and a revive item which is awesome
One of the best game I've played last year. Highly recommend it. I'm also thinking about reinstalling and play void bastards again, but hell I don't ready to die almost every run :D
I think of the biggest problems with the game is that theres almost no replay-ability to it... its got a rougelike setup, but little to no replay-ability. i certainly LOVED my time playing it, but dont see much reason to play it after beating it, which is a shame cause i loved my playthrough!
Yeah that’s a good point, it’s an amazing game but hardly any replayability unless you just wanna challenge yourself with a harder difficulty (which I enjoy doing so eh)
Superb game but if you are a noob with no information from this game, start with easy level ... i love the art, gestion , strategic and tactical map, this is an excellent FPS
It's a good game, but there's not nearly enough general content for the procedural generation to work from to keep you playing and interested. It's an "almost there" game for its style/type. Would love a sequel though that's fully fleshed out and packed with content.

It might unfold its awsomness when u have put alot of hours into it... Which most people dont want to do nowadays

I played this game like crazy for a month I had 8 characters die, its a good pickup and play game.
I love this game, all about taking risks at the right time which makes the game super intense

Mate, how come you don't have a million subscribers already! You are a fantastic storyteller. Upload more, do more, do it full time. All the best
I absolutely love this game, and appreciate your video on it. It really is something special.

It's a great game. I got insanely addicted to it during lock down.
hidden gem
Superb game but if you are a noob with no information from this game, start with easy level ... i love the art, gestion , strategic and tactical map, this is an excellent FPS
Anyone know Pulsar: Lost Colony? Imagine if the game looked like this. Would have been nice.
Thank you, the quick introduction to this game was helpful
I'm definitely buying this! I'm looking for a physical copy😊

Yeah honestly if they just did a dlc that added more variety to ship layouts and maybe added some more story maybe in the form of audio logs.
One of the best games in recdnt years and also am suprised was not talked more about.
Took my boy C. Stevens to the end of the game first playthough
This is a great game. Anyone that loved 2000AD growing up should pick it up, it has the same vibe.
Came here from Reddit, nice vid, this game is great.
This was a solid review do more
You should try "forgive me father". It's in the same graphics as VB.
so much fun! loved this game
In fact, I think I might play it, I have it on Epic Games, I think
I hope that this game gets a sequel.
Very cool video.
Bought this last week cheap on Steam and considering I'm not a bid rouglike fan I have put 30hrs in already.
just needs more content 😞

Multiplayer?
Nope

🎉
This game is so good! And funny!
This game is hot
Great game great come play live the graphics and the whole space theme would easily give this game a 7.9 out of a 10
This reminds me a lot like Genesis Alpha One for PS4 , but GAO is wayyy more realistic looking compared to this toony art style
