I'm an owner of the 2019 2.0t ultimate.. Once I figured out I didn't need a 3rd row, not too many competitors offer the same tech and ride quality at this price point. I considered the Honda Passport, Ford Edge, Subaru Outback, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Honda CRV... The warranty goes a long way for those who doubt their reliability. Hyundai/Kia really have come a long way over the years.. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Santa Fe for anyone in the market for a 2 row Suv.. Great Review as always Joe!! Stay safe/healthy
@@hellraiserx9490.. I only considered the Edge because of it's cargo capacity. Otherwise, it really fell far behind the others I considered. Behind in its refinement, quality materials and overall feel.. However, I must say, along with its good looks, the Edge ST was VERY fun to drive.
M11sanman...…….Wife and I own two, a 2019 and a 2020 both are SEL models with the 2.4 non turbo engines. We are super happy with our choice and have no problem getting over 30 mpg on HWY. Have achieved up to 34mpg more than once. They are enjoyable to drive both in and out of townplus they do have sharp styling. The SEL also has all the safety features and more than some others for less $$$$. I recommend a test drive before buying any other midsized SUV.
I drove the Ford Edge and it’s super quick and everything but at the End you need all the tech and safety features for you and your family, so this one knock it out of the park!
I drove the model before this one and it drives good and I took a little test drive but I couldn’t drive it well but I’m seeking to trade my Elantra forward this year hope so
I rented this Hyundai for a week. I had a 2.4 liter AWD. It performed like an absolute champ. It handled everything from muddy Oregon back roads to -2F icy roads of Eastern Sierras. I returned it yesterday. It was also super quiet. No wind or tire noise. Adaptive cruise control is very helpful on long boring drives. Bravo, Hyundai! And thank you for making such an awesome, affordable vehicles for us! I averaged 30.5 mpg over 2800 miles.
@Tyrel Tolliver I have zero problem with it being a Hyundai. It's amazing how much South Koreans have achieved in relatively short time. Just look at the tech, from phones to TVs. They're very hard working people.
Great review. Have had my 2020 Santa Fe for a few weeks now and couldn't be happier. Yours was one of the few reviews that didn't criticize the "power" of the vehicle. Not sure what these other reviewers are looking for, but I've found it to be plenty powerful enough and, like you said, a very smooth ride.
I have had the 2020 Santa Fe Limited 2.0T AWD for 4 months now and love it. It is a great vehicle. Bang for the buck can't be beat. I'm 6'2 248 lbs and have plenty of space. I think those not needing the 3rd row in the Palisade, should take a look at the Santa Fe.
I have had the 2020 Limited for 6 days and I love it. I was considering the Palisade, Telluride, and Murano. I didn't need the third row (who really does?). I was replacing an 09 Murano Platinum Ed. While the new Murano was nice, it was more of the same. the Sante Fe felt like an upgrade. I wish I had held out for the 2.0T. While the Palisade is bigger, the price jump was not justified for me. The Telluride is better looking but again the price difference was not worth it. I feel really good having a 2-row Palisade with every feature in the world.
Joe, thank you so much for the review. I have a 2013 Santa Fe 2.0T AWD but the warranty was coming to an end and so i decided to pull the trigger and get this exact limited trim in the exact color and everything but with AWD. Your reviews have always helped me out and i can’t thank you enough!

Love the Santa Fe, and not to mention, I own one too (except in silver) Thank you for this video, Joe! It's been 3 weeks (at least) ever since we've bought our new Santa Fe.
Definitely rather have the Santa Fe than the palisade! Think it looks so much better all over including interior, exterior and wheels. Also love how it has all led lighting for headlights and fog lights! Great looking vehicle! Seriously considering getting one!
Thank you for making this review, it helped my girlfriend and I choose the limited Turbo yesterday. We got employee pricing, and we couldn't find another vehicle in this segment that was a better value. It really is a great vehicle.
I drive a Grand Cherokee Overland and have been looking for another comparable vehicle to it. The closest I have come is the Santa Fe. However it is 2 inches to short. I am disabled with upper and lower spinal fusions. My jeep has air ride and lowers to the perfect height for me to enter and exit. I also prefer the bells and whistles for not only my safety but others. If you're looking for the perfect vehicle without the huge hit to your pocket book, check out the Santa Fe.
We have a 2019 2.0T Ultimate and really like it. We looked at the Chevy Blazer and Jeep Grand Cherokee and the value of the Santa Fe made it an easy decision. Great review Joe. Keep up the great work!
Great SUV I love mine, 2020 SEL 2.0 Turbo Black on Black. I have found no faults in this vehicle. It'ls everything I want and need in a SUV and more. Great Comfort and loaded with every tech and safety feature. It's a definite Best Buy. Only slight drawback is the average fuel economy, but well worth the mileage sacrifice for the Power and Comfort this vehicle provides. Nice Job Hyundai.

Another well-done video. Hyundai Santa Fe looks great, a great choice. Only recently discovered your channel, enjoyed your content. A nice style of presentation of the various vehicles. Keep up the great videos.
Pretty nice looking SUV, especially the gauge cluster. Spot on. Wouldn't mind renting one for a weekend getaway, if I can even afford or even attempt a weekend getaway with this pandemic happening 😂😫 Great vid, Joe! Happy Sunday morning!
I really like the Sante Fe, I always have. But I think once you start adding trims and features, it really adds up quick, and the value proposition just gets tossed out the window. This example for instance is inching real close to the price of a fairly well equipped Acura RDX (actually more when taking into account current market discounts). Mid/High $20k's, this a fantastic choice, Mid/high$30k's not so much.
Tyrel Tolliver I would agree that much of the Acura line is getting a bit long in the tooth (MDX anyone), but the newly designed RDX is the exception. Certainly at or near the top of the class as of now.
Tyrel Tolliver Can’t argue with that, Kia and Hyundai have been killing it. The Telluride is probably the hottest vehicle release in years outside of the new Corvette. The soon to be released Sorento will probably be just as fantastic. But they are starting to lose their value proposition they once had. But their vehicles have improved to justify the price, almost......
BTW- I am so happy that you got the GT350R Heritage edition, you really deserve it! My girlfriend and I were very touched with your upload about it. I can't wait for my turn to get the car that I want... and I will pretty soon. Thank you for the continued great content, and excellent reviews!
This is a lot of bang for the buck. My neighbor had one for many years with no problems and then took his wife’s Terrain when she got a new one. Nice job Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Both Santa Fe and palisade are best in class if you don’t need a sporty engine like the explorer or off-road capability of the passport/pilot. I ended up with a palisade and love it so far.
I'm always kind of shocked when I see dealers putting pin striping on new cars. Very dated. I do like the Santa Fe a lot. Best warranty available and excellent easy-to-use infotainment system.
I have a base model 2020 Santa Fe in silver an I love it. It doesn’t have a leather steering wheel, no LED headlights or taillights, no digital gauges, manual tailgate, and no push to start, which doesn’t make it as upscale as this one, but for 26k, you still get all the space and versatility as this fully loaded one. Probably even better gas mileage since it’ll be lighter than one with a bunch of tech and features. Android Auto / Apple CarPlay is standard and the cloth seats are very good looking and comfortable so I’m a happy camper.
I just got a new 2020 2.0T Limited. I have also had a 2017 2.0T Ultimate and 2014 2.0T Limited. Those two cars do not come close to what the 2020 has to offer. So many great features and the ride is much better. My parents have a Lexus RX and an Acura MDX and the features are right up there. Also, the interior quality is much improved.
Thanks for posting this review. Hyundai has changed the engines for the 2021 Santa Fe to have slightly increased horsepower and also offers a hybrid option. Do you recommend spending the extra money for the turbo engine? Or is the base engine sufficient for the Santa Fe?
Love these but the lease deals were ridiculous 2 months ago. No incentives at all and high down payment to make the monthly even remotely palatable (and that was on a mid trim level). Beautiful SUV though.
I bought one of these excellent automobiles and since I paid cash I saved a lot of money . I’m very satisfied with it . I wish it came with air ride suspension ... and maybe I’ll get it wrapped in Magenta Foil .... A more powerful engine like a V-6 Dual Turbo would be Cool . Take Care .... All I need is a Rolex Submariner . Hyundai has the best Warranty in the industry that’s money in your pocket .
Trevor G Welch how do you save money paying cash the dealers can’t stand check writers. Why pour cash good cash into a depreciating asset when you can lease ?
Great review. Love your channel! I bought this exact car in October, same color even. Love it but wish it could stay in Sport Mode as default. Unfortunately it can’t. Also the Idle stop/go feature makes the car lurch at a stop light. I’m not sure if all makes do the same. Overall very happy with my purchase!
Me and my wife looked at a used 2019 Santa Fe with 20k miles.. 22k bucks. The price sure did drop a lot for a vehicle that’s 1 year old and not many miles. Makes me wonder what how much it will drop in 5 years or more
@@RaitisRides Nice. When I went 2 the 2020 Chicago Auto Show & when I went over 2 the Hyundai booth I got in the 2020 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate AWD & I was absolutely blown 2 shreds. My Mom has a 2010👈🏽 Hyundai Tucson GLS FWD so I was blown away by how the interior kind sorta has the same look as the 2nd Gen Tucson 👍🏼🤯. I was talking about the Tucson for weeks & couldn't believe it LOL.
The Santa Fe’s are really nice and dependable vehicles. I’ve had three(3) Santa Fe’s. Only problems I have is it takes 45 minutes to my dealer. The smaller dealer to my home closed and hooked up with larger dealer. The larger dealer is really big and well, it’s not as friendly, just too big and somewhat impersonal. Service is fine though. If Hyundai maintains their quality and good service, they will surpass Toyota. I lease a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport2.0 turbo Ultimate. The vehicle is fully loaded with leather and full sun roof. Plenty of power climbing hills or passing vehicles. Bottom line, get the turbo !
That is a handsome SUV especially in that color. I've always liked Hyundais infortainment GUI (graphical user interface). Its one of the best in my opinion. The infinity audio isn't bad....not great but much better than a stock no name stereo. I'm a former elantra owner.
Very nice review I own a hyundai santa fe 2019 model and I love it alot especially for family use. In my country Lebanon 🇱🇧middle east we have 3rd raw that's an advantage over the USA🇺🇸 version 😉
Great review! I drive a 2020 Santa Fe 2.0T HTRAC Limited. I love it. Still finding features I didnt know it has. Great value for the money. The Palisade is great as well but only if you need a 3rd row. Go with the Santa Fe!
Have both a Palisade and a 2020 Sante Fe. Palisade is our primary hauler; I do all the driving. Wife has the Santa Fe. Likes the Santa Fe, not the Palisade. She is 4'11". She really likes the quarter window between the A pillar and mirror for better visibility on left turns (Can't readily see over top of the mirror even with seat at max height). Palisade visibility is not as good so she never drives it. Her previous car was a Golf so as step up in size but smaller than the Palisade. Sante Fe top trim in Canada was about $10,000 less than the Palisade and has most of the features. Main feature missing is forward parking assist audio and visual warning. On the plus side vs Palisade, has full panoramic roof and Homelink buttons are lit at night. Love the below floor storage of the Santa Fe, available as not trying to squeeze in a 3rd row as the cousin Kia Sorento does. The S.F's 2.0 turbo is comparable to the Palisade's V6, largely because of low end torque from the turbo, where need to really gun it on the Palisade to get the max torque. We had looked at a VW Tiguan as an alternative to the S.F., but it is underpowered; strains even in Sport mode, plus not as well featured as the S.F. Biggest decision was exterior color as between this lava orange which looks great and the Earthy Bronze' decided on the Bronze but would have been equally happy with the lava orange.
We lost a ton of money dumping a LR Discovery Sport HSE to buy a Santa Fe Sport Ultimate. Super nice and very happy now. Better economy cheaper service and better options. “Ultimate”. is top trim level
I am LOVING my 2020 Santa Fe 2.0T Limited. The palisade is so nice... but i’m a family of three...so even though I loved it, it was a little much for my needs. The Santa Fe has so much room and comfort. The cargo storage is amazing! I especially love and use the cubbies a lot. The ONLY thing I don’t like about the Santa Fe is the lack of cup holders for the back passengers. The cup holders on the bottom sides of the door are useless. And the middle console cup holders are great if you’re only seating 4 people. But if you have three people in the back... no great cup holders. I wish they would have put the cup holders on the arm rests like they do on the palisade.
The only thing that irks but this and the Tucson is the big tablet for a screen. I find it distracting just like Mazda's. I wish it was built into the dash but its a minor nitpick. Nice suv!
About the iPad style media display. If you look carefully at other newer models that integrate the media display into the dash board, they just fill the gaps with plastic and both displays are at the same height. It is just an illusion that the 2 displays are one unit. Other cars with iPad style displays are poorly executed. But the SF setup is fine, the height is same as the dash display, it gives an airy feel from the space between the 2 displays.
“The Hyundai is like the one kid in your family where you don’t know where it’s at.” F-n funny. Love the color on this car. Wish Forester had these kind of colors. The blind spot cameras on turns are awesome. The CX-5 side rear might as well be looking through concrete this camera feature needs to become standard throughout the industry imo. Looking for less price and better mileage, but great looking car. Thanks Joe.
Very nice looking....I was thinking more sporty than family car....but thanks for pointing out it is a family car - I mean knowing that the hard backs to the front seats are where kids can put their boogers does make it a family car. But I’ll go check one out for myself - I love that it’s not a CVT!!
Hyundai has a nice line of SUVs. They’re also more affordable than most of the other brands. You get more for your money. It’s not the sexiest brand but if your married sexy just isn’t that important. 🤫 I’d probably go with the Tucson unlimited trim because it’s just me and the Mrs. It’s cool that Hyundai names their vehicles after American cities. Love the color on this particular Santa Fe. Not crazy about the rims but I’ve seen worse. Great video from best in the business!!! Stay safe Joe!
Hey Joe i remember my mom had 2014 santa fe she love it she keep it 5 years but sadly her santa fe is sold she miss her car with the v6 290 hp stock and all wheel drive
So Joe I replaced the wife's car with a low mileage Mazda MX5 RF yesterday. The deal was too good for me to turn down as I negotiated under market value and the dealership just worked with me on the deal so well.
I know I’m late to the party (your review), but thank you for such a thorough review. I’ve always driven Honda (current vehicle is a 08 pilot.....I love it). But, kids are out of the house, and I don’t need the 3 rows anymore. Honda only has the Passport or CRV for bigger SUV’s. The wife already has a CRV. We don’t need 2...lol. I’ve been searching now for a while, and you have sold me on this vehicle. Plus, nice warranty, no timing belt, and from what I hear from other friends who own Hyundai’s, their quality has very much improved. I do like the look. Especially those headlights, and forget the cup holders....I gotta have the Twinkie and snickers holders.

I have an Santa Fé SEL 2020, I like everything, but to me the best thing is economic SUV. The Palisade is the best. No compares to others. But off course the engine is giant and off course not economic. But Palisade is the car !
Hmmmm, i wonder what the engine differences are between this and the Veloster N standard and performance pack, its interesting how they all have 260 torque but 235-250-275 horsepower. How can they increase boost and power but not torque?
I'm pretty sure the Hyundai on the front doors is a dealer add-on. I have a 2020 Limited AWD 2.0T and I have not seen this on any Santa Fe at my dealership. Can you confirm?
During this quarantine I got my wife watching more videos with me, and she says that she thought the SantaFe comes in a 3 row model. Is that the case or has that changed with the Palisade out now?

I love the Santa Fe, own two previously, Hun-Day
That is so awesome Steve!
I just bought the 2020 SEL with convenient package saved thousands and got all great useful things.
Thanks for posting this review. Hyundai has changed the engines for the 2021 Santa Fe to have slightly increased horsepower and also offers a hybrid option. Do you recommend spending the extra money for the turbo engine? Or is the base engine sufficient for the Santa Fe?
You are so very welcome. You mighty want to pony up the extra money and go turbo!
I own 2020 Santa Fe Ultimate 2L Turbo AWD. Am loving it!!! Has all new features.
Love these but the lease deals were ridiculous 2 months ago. No incentives at all and high down payment to make the monthly even remotely palatable (and that was on a mid trim level). Beautiful SUV though.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
That is so awesome Trevor! Thanks for that great ownership input!
To me it’s very jerky in sport mode when switching gears.
I took one for a test drive with the base 2.4 engine and it was definitely a quiet ride. I would like to see a comparison of it to the Subaru Outback.
I have this vehicle in pearl white with the 2.4 GDI I average 29 driving it easy in comfort mode , love it thanks for the video.
Thanx bro your reviews are the best can you also add the prices in all of your reviews.
Will do Ruben! Thanks for saying that!
Me and my wife looked at a used 2019 Santa Fe with 20k miles.. 22k bucks. The price sure did drop a lot for a vehicle that’s 1 year old and not many miles. Makes me wonder what how much it will drop in 5 years or more
Honestly Joe if I was getting any Hyundai SUV I would get the 2020 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate AWD for the value price.
I actually have a review of that one coming as well!
@@RaitisRides oo Hyundai Tucson interesting.
@@JayPatel-tx1zc They did a great job!
@@stellantistom6881 I know right
Hands down the best car reviewer out there, i love the snack references 😂 who doesn't like circus peanuts i mean lets be real
I am so glad that you like this one!
“You have your emergency Twinkie holder” 🤣LMAO you always get me with those creative Twinkie scenarios
I mean, this guy literally is Joe Raiti after all!
Very nice review I own a hyundai santa fe 2019 model and I love it alot especially for family use. In my country Lebanon 🇱🇧middle east we have 3rd raw that's an advantage over the USA🇺🇸 version 😉
Thanks for letting me share this one with you!
Great review! I drive a 2020 Santa Fe 2.0T HTRAC Limited. I love it. Still finding features I didnt know it has. Great value for the money. The Palisade is great as well but only if you need a 3rd row. Go with the Santa Fe!
Does the htrac improve handling?
Great review, your candy and snack references were too funny.
Thanks for letting me share the laughs with you!
Hey Joe,
I have a 2020 SE ..it is a great car...I had 2006 for 14 years ..luv the drive and handles great in the snow☺️
Bought a Lexus NX loaded for 39 but I’m sure Santa Fe would be less than that ... enjoying your videos even though already purchased!
Congrats! That is really awesome of you!
How’s the reliability been?
Thanks Joe.
That color is so gorgeous. Have a great sunday and be safe.😇
I am so glad that you like this one Christian! You have a safe Sunday as well my friend!
@@RaitisRides thanks !!!
great review as usual JOE i wish you added the towing capability of this SUV!
I will start to do that for you my friend!
Very nice looking....I was thinking more sporty than family car....but thanks for pointing out it is a family car - I mean knowing that the hard backs to the front seats are where kids can put their boogers does make it a family car. But I’ll go check one out for myself - I love that it’s not a CVT!!
He cracks me up with the candy references ! Always excellent reviews
You got your king size snicker slot 😂😂 love it
Hyundai has a nice line of SUVs.
I just purchased this I will let you know in a week or so....so far so good
Hey Joe i remember my mom had 2014 santa fe she love it she keep it 5 years but sadly her santa fe is sold she miss her car with the v6 290 hp stock and all wheel drive
Thanks for sharing that Karem! Maybe she will get another down the road!
@@RaitisRides thank you i think she will buy jeep grand cheeroke with v8
I'm curious, what's the big deal about the rear view mirror not being frameless?
The Tucson is the way to go love it
Cargo cover can be stored in back hidden under floor. Unlike Honda’s products.
So Joe I replaced the wife's car with a low mileage Mazda MX5 RF yesterday. The deal was too good for me to turn down as I negotiated under market value and the dealership just worked with me on the deal so well.
Hey Joe. Big fan from New Zealand
When will you review the 2021?
Hi Mich! Thanks for the great support1 Very soon!
Love these SUV reviews!
I have more to come Madison!
Top notch review...👍🏼
You get a jack but wheres the spare? Maybe a quick mention if there is a spare hook up on the bottom? I'm sure there is one
Underneath.
It's a very nice vehicle. The only thing that I'm not a big fan of are the rear blinkers located in the bumper area. I think they are placed too low.
As a owner I agree, that's the only feature that I don't like !!There should be minimum height restrictions on all vehicles..
@@bextar6365 thank you for your response.
You missed the driver’s seat thigh support. Only Hyundai offers that.
Not true. The Toyota Highlander and the Lexus SUV's also have this support.
7:38 "Its got that protective condom...... not to spread anything....." hehe
Forgot the free maintenance
Keeping your new Hyundai running at its best requires regular care and maintenance. We encourage new owners to stay on top of it with Hyundai Complimentary Maintenance. Hyundai has you covered for normal, factory scheduled maintenance intervals for 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first). Benefits include:
• Engine oil and oil filter changes
• Tire rotations
• Multi-point inspection
• Hyundai Genuine Oil filters & Hyundai Recommended Oil
• Extended Hyundai Protection Plans available for severe usage intervals or extended terms
If they had a naturally aspirated v6 it would be a no brainer for me.
That is a great point!
Another great review. Love the Lexus 350, but I might settle for this ....
You convinced me. I’m getting this SUV
Hi Joe can you do a review on 2020 Ford expedition XLT FX4
I will get that together for you Kelly!
I have an Santa Fé SEL 2020, I like everything, but to me the best thing is economic SUV. The Palisade is the best. No compares to others. But off course the engine is giant and off course not economic. But Palisade is the car !
Something about this reminds me a little of the Jeep Cherokee from the front but it is nice.
You are so very right about that!
"You could easily drop a box of Twinkies in there" 😂
Hmmmm, i wonder what the engine differences are between this and the Veloster N standard and performance pack, its interesting how they all have 260 torque but 235-250-275 horsepower. How can they increase boost and power but not torque?
I'm pretty sure the Hyundai on the front doors is a dealer add-on. I have a 2020 Limited AWD 2.0T and I have not seen this on any Santa Fe at my dealership. Can you confirm?
These car companies need to start sponsoring you.
That is really nice of you to say!
Raiti's Rides Hopefully they do it soon.
@@mystictk4149 I agree with you!
Raiti's Rides We will get this done all of us together!
During this quarantine I got my wife watching more videos with me, and she says that she thought the SantaFe comes in a 3 row model. Is that the case or has that changed with the Palisade out now?
They used to do a third row in the Santa Fe XL, but they discontinued that model.
You’re my favorite car guy! You make me want to buy a car😃
Nice review. Looks like a good value too.
The base SEL model is the best deal for the $$$$$$$$
Finally a reviewer talking about the things that matter most... Twinkie compartments
Hey Joe! Thoughts on Santa Fe Limited 2.0T vs Outback Limited XT?
I really do like this vehicle. Nice review.
I ma so glad that you like this one Kelly!
