Ya, just a timing belt to replace every 60,000 miles and cdm system that can never be turned off, preventing this engine from ever becoming a very high milage motor, to say nothing of carbon build-up issues over time.

Thank you Honda for the following: 1) Boxy design while keeping it classic looking (unlike santa fe) 2). Naturally aspirated 3.5 v6 dohc i have driven it in the new pilots and that engine has ample torque down low for normal human beings who don't wanna win stop light drag races. 3). For keeping buttons still available for climate control and seat heaters. 4) for keeping it unibody so that people have confidence while driving on freeways and if an emergency maneuver is necessary, the driver will have total confidence in the cars abilities.

@@ledebuhr1 It does not lack any torque brother. The first and second gears are geared in a manner where you feel a surge of acceleration like you might with a turbo. And thats good enough for normal folks driving everyday in a normal sane manner. I dont want a 4 cylinder turbo in a midsize Suv, especially if I am offroading. Also The only time I would appreciate a 4 cylinder turbo is if it is a diesel turbo like they have in asia and australia.

  • @panzer_TZ
    @panzer_TZ 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +78

This is the first enticing product from Honda in a long time for me. I don't need 3 rows, but I like the space of a midsize. Honda finally adds the features I want, plus I'm a sucker for a brown interior color and the amber DRLs. A naturally aspirated V6 is also a winner. Disappointing that all but the base trim levels are going to be Trailsport though. A non-Trailsport Touring and Elite would be really enticing over the Pilot, which currently lacks the features of this new Passport. If I were to buy one, I'd swap the tires for a quieter/smoother road tire immediately.

    • @gosman949

    2. the screen. It’s nice and big, but this style of screen looks like an ipad stuck in a holder. The previous passport screen was excellent built into the dash
    3. the middle armrest: I prefer the adjustable single armrests on each seat. It comes in handy on long trips when you want to change arm positions.

I think I’m going to buy one of these! I love the look, it has the v6 with more power they say. No cvt, a 10 speed auto. Good decent ground clearance for everyday use. I probably won’t get the trail sport but I’m excited for this, because I love the pilot but I just don’t need that much space.

At first look.. A couple of bummers I noticed .. I wish Honda would have went with a traditional shifter... I just prefer shifting like that.. instead of the push button. Also I love how the current (now previous) Passport had a nice high roofline and the vehicle sat up nice and high - for great visibility and very nice airy upper interior cabin space.. .. This new Passport looks like Honda took all that away - and it looks like they (unfortunately) lowered the roofline and reduced the headroom and interior cabin space.. (I am about 6' 2").. That is a shame..

@@Fabulousprofound168 Ok.. Thanks Fab .. I gotcha.. Raiti is on a different video and channel. I haven't seen Raitis review. At first look at this new Passport.. it still looks like Honda lowered that roofline.. I will have to check the specs on that and previous Passport.. If I remember right the previous Passport had a nice tall height of about 72".. I am a guy that wants good headroom, good interior space and good outward visibility in all directions (for safe driving and driving enjoyment visibility).

Don't knock it until u have tried it. The bronco sport, even though it's a compact unibody bronco compared to the full-size bronco (and also looks a lot like this vehicle too), has pretty good headroom for the size vehicle it is. I'm sure this will still have a few inches of headroom left when u sit inside.

I hope much of the styling of the new Passport finds its way to the Ridgeline. I really want one. My wife has a 2018 Pilot. Great vehicle -- the V6 and 9 speed has proven to be rock solid. I don't mind the push button transmission selector. I love the paddle shifters -- great in the mountains here in Colorado.
I considered a Tacoma until they went turbo 4 cyl. No thanks.
I am sold on Honda V6 power. I have a 2004 Pilot with 180k miles and zero problems. Just routine maintenance. It's my "truck" as I await the new Ridgeline.

The only good looking Honda outside of the Civic Type R
And this thing looks REALLY good. Just wish they offered the wrap it had on the prototype as an option. Made it look even better. Love the white seat option with the black stripes as well and it being a V6 makes it more appealing than most companies
Edit: oh wow and that tan and black is CLEAN. amazing how Honda could make their car interiors not look so lifeless with another leather color. I would legit buy thjs

We had a 2017 Honda Pilot. Dealership tried to sell us a fully loaded 2015 Pilot instead but we passed it up because at the time I didn’t prefer the boxy design. But as time went by, I actually like the boxy design more and more. I really like these. Hope they priced it competitively.

Sofyan you always talk ab the rear wipers not being hidden. I think companies are no longer hiding the rear wipers because a top mounted wiper creates large blind spots on the bottom corners of the window where the wiper will struggle to reach due to it being mounted up top. A lower mounted wiper isn’t as sexy, but it’s way more functional. Could be worse. You could have the dual rear wiper like in the mid 90’s Camry 😂
