Naturally aspirated 3.5 v6 dohc i have driven it in the new pilots and that engine has ample torque down low for normal human beings who don't wanna win stop light drag races. 3). This absolutely has to have that high seating position of the previous gen. That and SH-AWD tech was the main draw of the Passport. Design and accessories look fantastic. Love the tan+black leather, green paint colour, and the pano roof. I like the thoughtful spare tire feature.
Good update! I turo'd passports several times liked the spac (perfect for 4 +bags) V6 and torque vectoring AWD. Infotainment was only thing needed improving imo
19:58 happy to see Honda, unlike so many other manufacturers today, still knows how to design fully functional taillights with proper separate amber turn signals. Keep it up, Honda.

Great review! I love the retro look, reminds me of the original passport while looking modern at the same time. Those amber led dtrl’s are a good touch.
Honda did the infotainment system right keeping the climate controls separate. To bad they put the push button shifter in that everyone complains about. CRV has the normal shifter.

Hell no. They don’t need multiple trims of the Ridgeline that are TrailSport. Orange is my least favorite color…. I’m still pissed they took away the RTL-E.
The styling is one true success of what Honda has done for the 4th Generation/Redesigned Passport for 2026:). Just amazing and how it stands out so far for the characteristics and body language too.
Much better looking than any Subaru, I can live with 1" less ground clearance. For the Elite TS they should offer a digital rear view mirror and a HUD.
Needs a non-trailsport elite trim for those who dont go off road but still want all the bells and whistles. Also disappointed they got rid of the massive side-to-side undertrunk storage system in favor for the skinny front-to-back undertrunk storage bin. The side-to-side one in my 2021 is perfect for grocery bags and costco runs. This new one might perfectly fit a spare tire or generator but not much else...
I really like the design of the exterior, except for.....why the non-functional hood scoop? It's just a place to catch junk in and have to clean out. The reason Honda did that is because they didn't have any 4WD SUV offerings at the time. The 1st Generation Acura MDX hadn't been introduced yet. Acura was selling a re-badged Izusu Trooper SUV luxury version SLX.
I am so glad they gave it a distinct front end rather than just putting out a two row Pilot. Looks really good. Really hate the push button transmission but that may be due to the crappy 9 speed the old one had. The delay in shifting using the buttons and when you needed to get on it and have it downshift was embarrassing. If I was looking for a car in this class again this would be the top of the list. Have a CR-V hybrid and a Prologue now.
It's a Passfinder! Probably going to be around $50K+ for the higher trims into the $60s. Doubt there will be any budging from sticker (if you're lucky).
Interesting the top Elite trim dosent have Heads-Up Display. The Pilot Elite and Black Edition trims have HUD as well as some Acura MDX trim like Advance Package. Might be for cost savings.
It is also strange to say this, but the recent possible issues w/ the Honda v6 engines might be a concern? Seems to be around the late 2010s to early 2020s...think it could affect the latest models? I'm not a gearhead, so couldn't tell you anything about the different engines.
I have a 2024 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition, and I am really enjoying it. I will be interested to see if there are any changes to the 25, or if they will do a new design for the 26.

I think I’m going to buy one of these! I love the look, it has the v6 with more power they say. No cvt, a 10 speed auto. Good decent ground clearance for everyday use. I probably won’t get the trail sport but I’m excited for this, because I love the pilot but I just don’t need that much space.
I definitely love the new designs of both vehicles. Amazing cargo space, they both look very masculine. Probably gonna be between this passport and the new 4runner for my next car, better start saving up some money.

Sofyan you always talk ab the rear wipers not being hidden. I think companies are no longer hiding the rear wipers because a top mounted wiper creates large blind spots on the bottom corners of the window where the wiper will struggle to reach due to it being mounted up top. A lower mounted wiper isn’t as sexy, but it’s way more functional. Could be worse. You could have the dual rear wiper like in the mid 90’s Camry 😂
It’s giving Bronco Sport, I’m anxious to see the non Trailsport version. Looking to upgrade a 2017 4Runner Limited soon. I like the new 4Runner but the Tacoma with the same powertrain is already having transmission issues.
Love the design, big question for me as a daily driver is road noise. Current is not great even without trailsport trim. Have they made effort to improve?

It’s giving Bronco Sport, I’m anxious to see the non Trailsport version. Looking to upgrade a 2017 4Runner Limited soon. I like the new 4Runner but the Tacoma with the same powertrain is already having transmission issues.
Thank you, Honda! You listened🥲
You’re one of the only ones who went through the Elite - thank you for that! Is the digital instrument cluster capable of showing a map?
This looks better than the "Rip-off" Toyota models(they always push for Lexus & never market for their Toyota models).
Love the design, big question for me as a daily driver is road noise. Current is not great even without trailsport trim. Have they made effort to improve?
