The sprites are surprisingly big for an NES game, second to _Batman: Return of the Joker_ (Sunsoft). The whole "blast processing" thing was nothing more than a marketing slogan. The Super NES is the real power house if we compare it to the Mega Drive, because although the resolution is wider on the Mega Drive, the SNES has sample music, more colors, more layers and supports expansion chips (such as SA-1, Super FX, Super FX 2). _Virtua Racing_ was the only Mega Drive video game to have an expansion chip in its cartridge, I think... Memory and marketing aside, I like how they were able to make bosses this big without removing the background. Without flickering at that.
Cooking experience has nothing to do with it. Those damn things are setting off a primal fight or flight response with that damn uncanny valley wrongness they have going on.
i know this is the Japanese version, but i liked the way the dude looked in the us release rather then the original ( not gonna lie, that headbutt move is sick tho)
Zy t that’s a cool and all idea but the game has been around for 28 years, that’s a long time without a sequel , and honestly I don’t think the company behind “panic restaurant”cares anymore, so that’s why I think a remaster is a better idea as it can bring the experience of the game to a new generation
Hey Shadowserg, I've often wondered if you played FROM software's titles, and if so, what you think of them? They seem up your alley from a challenge perspective.
Hold on for just a moment. Is this a different version of the game? The "Panic Restaurant" I remember has a rather old guy with a big, white mustache as the protagonist, not this young man.
Actually, he does wear shoes. But the 3-colour per sprite limitation and the game apparently using 8x16 tiles for sprites made the sprite look as if the character is barefoot. The same reason as that of Mario wearing black overalls in _Super Mario Bros. 3_ (1988).

He was...headbutting chickens....
He's my new hero!! Totally metal!
what, Mrs. Icecream and not
Cone Anne the Bavarian
This game has charm, I like it.
I like that you can tell this game is a late NES game
How so?
Look a gimmick
@@sluggy68 Yeah, you're right. Mr. Gimmick was a late nes game.

4:24 this game has a sense of humor and I love it
Actually played this before. Such charm!
Love that game ^^ so it's all the more awesome to see you take a shot at it ^^

1:09 *headless cooked chickens walking*
.....NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE SO MUCH *N O P E*
You must not have much experience cooking for yourself...

Wow Shadowserg you're such an amazing TH-camr. Your skills are second to none.
wow i used to play this game a lot as kid!
this game looks impressive
I never heard of this game before, looks good!
this game reminds me of Pizza Tower
I think pizza tower guy said that this game was the inspiration for the whole food theme in a old tweet
i know this is the Japanese version, but i liked the way the dude looked in the us release rather then the original ( not gonna lie, that headbutt move is sick tho)
The old guy reminds of the _Cinnamon Toast Crunch_ cereal dude.
I prefer the japanese version because funny headbutt
Shadowserg.-this is incredible.
1:30 Isn't that the Robot Master from _MegaMan 9?_ 😁
Любил в детстве играть в эту игру, правда у меня другая версия была: повар там был старый с седыми усами.
Reminds of adventure island mechanic
When I saw all that fruit, I thought _Adventure Island_ too.
@@edwardgaines6561 -can be a good option.
This kinda reminds me of mega man
bruh why tf these chefs aint got any shoes on that's a health violation
The origins of Waluigi? That villain sure looks like him.
Wow this is so awesome and cool😎
Why is people comparing the villian to waluigi? I compare him to Dr. Wily.
Because tacos...
This silly meme...
He looks more like the Peculiar Purple Pieman in the old Strawberry Shortcake cartoons.
The Japanese version of Panic Restaurant, which featured a little kid as the hero.
Gordon Ramsey: FINALLY SOME FKING DELICIOUS GAME
This should have an HD remake
No it needs a sequel

Cool video games
I don't know why, but Hors D'Oeuvre kinda reminds me of a combo between Waluigi, Dr. Wily and The Noise.
Mega Man же, даже свой аналог Желтого Дьявола есть.

I've played all souls games. My favorites are Demon's Souls and Bloodborne.
@@Shadowserg Right on, Bloodborne was great, very cool atmosphere too.

@@kiwibro6454 Aha, so that's how it is. Thank you for letting me know :)
@@robinengstrom4549 yea no probs, i assume Taito changed his sprite because Americans aint all about that cutesy type stuff i guess
@@kiwibro6454 You have to admit though, that big mustache really did have a very chef-y look to it.
@@robinengstrom4549 oh absolutely , it made alot more sense with the rivalry rather than some young boy
The original Pizza Tower.
This game is like Burgertime on shrooms.
This guy really out here fighting evil with no shoes on
