Nick did an amazing job, except at 13:06 When wanting to add alcohol to an open flame, it is advised NOT to use the original container as the alcohol inside the bottle can catch on fire very easily, it’s a fire hazard! you should transfer the alcohol into a separate container then pour it in your pan.

I really enjoyed seeing the interaction between these two content creators. Nick came off as a little harsh in his critiques, but that honestly makes perfect sense when you consider that he's been in some of the most competitive environments in the world and likely doesn't have too much teaching experience. Charlie of course was extremely casual and mildy self-deprecating because he really understood that there was going to be a massive skill difference, and playing up that difference is comical and can help the atmosphere stay light-hearted. Overall though, they both seemed to enjoy the experience and good vibes seemed to be had by all. Love to see people from different walks of life being kind to each other!

Another tip for checking how done a steak is: use your non-dominant hand to touch your thumb to any of the other fingers on the same hand based on what you want to be the done-ness of your steak (Med-Rare - Index, Medium - Middle, Med-Well - Ring, Well Done - Pinky). Press your dominant index finger into the palm muscle below your thumb, and that's the firmness you want for your steak when you press into it. And for the people wondering how to do a rare steak, turn the heat high and focus on searing the outside completely. By the time you finish, it'll be rare

Nick did an amazing job, except at 13:06 When wanting to add alcohol to an open flame, it is advised NOT to use the original container as the alcohol inside the bottle can catch on fire very easily, it’s a fire hazard! you should transfer the alcohol into a separate container then pour it in your pan.

I really enjoyed seeing the interaction between these two content creators. Nick came off as a little harsh in his critiques, but that honestly makes perfect sense when you consider that he's been in some of the most competitive environments in the world and likely doesn't have too much teaching experience. Charlie of course was extremely casual and mildy self-deprecating because he really understood that there was going to be a massive skill difference, and playing up that difference is comical and can help the atmosphere stay light-hearted.
Overall though, they both seemed to enjoy the experience and good vibes seemed to be had by all. Love to see people from different walks of life being kind to each other!
I agree, there’s so many comments saying their interactions are cringy but I found it funny. Another tip for checking how done a steak is: use your non-dominant hand to touch your thumb to any of the other fingers on the same hand based on what you want to be the done-ness of your steak (Med-Rare - Index, Medium - Middle, Med-Well - Ring, Well Done - Pinky). Press your dominant index finger into the palm muscle below your thumb, and that's the firmness you want for your steak when you press into it.
And for the people wondering how to do a rare steak, turn the heat high and focus on searing the outside completely. By the time you finish, it'll be rare
