  • Modi government’s big-ticket infrastructure push in J&K, up to Ladakh, could transform connectivity in a notoriously treacherous region. There are the all-weather Zojila and Z-Morh tunnels, among several others, as well as the project to establish direct train service between Srinagar and the rest of India. In episode 1239 of #CutTheClutter, Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta talks about the various projects under way, and the significance of this Himalayan endeavour.

NHAI, Railways & Power Sector PSUs are running in profits.
BJP Govt reduced Corporate Tax to encourage Private Investment but ended up with no Investment. BJP is also reluctant to impose wealth tax.

We are picking up the odd jobs of the Western market and that domain specificity is mistaken as an end product of good education. An Indian example, Dabur has a product range, understanding of production and supply chains, 50 years of data and trendline for the Indian/diaspora market and brand value. They are primed to open a service business in Ayurvedic healthcare. The Estonian who builds the backend for service business (as an analogy for our current service sector worker) cannot be mistaken to have an understanding of the Ayurvedic service sector.
