    I don't believe the truck drivers will be out of jobs. There is a bottomless potential for commerce in all sections of India and our country is just in the 2nd gear towards realizing our commerce potential. As soon as the DFCs are made more companies and industries would come up and start using whatever transportation mode they get their hands on. I think we might have to double up the rail line in both the WDFC and EDFC pretty soon in some years as the tracks would be running on full capacity.

      Short distance road transport from DFC station to warehouse and factories will still be needed, and with increasing factories it would need even more truck drivers

    • @biplabkumarghosh6300
      @biplabkumarghosh6300 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      No, if you know anything about freight trains, it is very very hard to have congested tracks with freight trains only. The existing track congestions you hear about, is because, even if a passenger train is an hour late, people are annoyed. But no company will be annoyed if their rail shipment is delayed even by 3 hours. Time-sensitive cargo is never sent via trains, those are always loaded onto trucks/planes. If you are sending it via a train, you probably have enough inventory in your factory. If a DFC section has double tracks (one in each direction), it will almost never see new track laying work. Though if any section has single line, it may be doubled

    A thing almost as important as the new tracks are (Digital) Automatic coupling of the goods wagons, and Digital computer based interlockings. Without a Digital Rail Traffic Management (and future automatic train operation) the full potential of the new tracks cannot be realized.
    India is a huge nation and the population will grow in the future. With economic development, the demand for freigt traffic will skyrocket. So today you need to make the plans for the economy of the future. The decision to build the DFC is very good for the future of India.

I am really thrilled to listen to this -- Worked for 30 years in large scale chemical industry I know how important logistic is -- We use to STOP the plant for want of Raw material which is on its way -- This major project will become LIFE LINE of BHARAT - Great investment -- Along with this RORO ( Roll on Roll off ) should be introduced for last mile connectivity -- The 40 LOADED TRUCKS just roll on to Railway and travel to destination and then Roll off and go to last mile -- That way we can retain job of driver as well - It is working in KONKAN RAILWAY LINE from MANGALORE TO MUMBAI ( 760 KM )

    Man I honestly love your videos but so much of the comments here from my fellow Indians are cringe as heck. They failed to understand many such aspects of this project and making cringe comments like "NoRtH sOuTh DiVidE, nO PrOjEcT fOr SoUtH, NoThInG fOr NoRtHeAsT". First of all you guys need to expand your knowledge better. This kind of infrastructure boom has started recently, and it has only been 5-6 years. We are a 3.5 Trillion USD economy, not a 15 trillion USD economy that we can build all such things simultaneously and that too at the beginning. China started in the 80s what we started just 5-6 years ago. That is why China grew up so fast and now they are able to build anywhere and anything. We need time to let profits come from these infrastructures and then only we'll be able to build up more. You clearly didn't listen to the video carefully, where he had clearly mentioned that many more such projects are proposed. But instead of paying attention to the points, one of them being which routes are the most busy, you guys keep on making cringe comments. And lastly, the biggest virtue of all, *HAVE PATIENCE* . We just started, eventually everything will happen. Both Expressways and Railways of India would be one of the mega highlights of the world in 10-15 years.

Thing is congress parties used to donate money to Maulvis, waqf board, increase salary of Maulvis etc etc so that they can convince muslims where to vote. Ofcourse many other policies specifically reserved for muslims.
      Bjp doesn't do the appeasement. They instead have doubled the minority affairs budget which will lead to more education among muslims.

    These Freight Corridors will be game changers for Boost up of development of India. If a 3rd corridor named South Dedicated Freight corridor which would connect Mumbai and Kolkata and North India with Southern Indian port cities and major cities of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. ❤🇮🇳✊🏻

      Pappu party deliberately kept North states poor for 70 years by transferring all minerals, mines and metals of north state and giving it to South India to get industrialized. Even western countries did not want North India to develop because they already knew North Indians, Guajarati's, Marathi's are Hindu nationalists. But BJP changing North India by bringing new industries and infra to North states. BJP will again come to power in 2024.

      I think you forgot so many development projects in Tamil Nadu being stopped by Politicians in Tamil Nadu only by playing dirty politics for vote purpose. I am from Tamil Nadu. Chennai Salem 8 Lane expressway was proposed by Nitin Gadkariji back in 2018 and even started the process. The expressway would reduce the travel time from Chennai to Salem by 5 Hours. For land acquisition, Nitin Gadkari promised the farmers affected would be offered high compensation. But then politicians in Tamil Nadu played sub regionalism politics and farmer card, went to High court and got a stay over the project.

    This freight corridor should be connected to the Vizhinjam port in Kerala before it is open for the vessels in 3 years time. Vizhinjam port alone will be handling 6. 41 million TEU containers. All other ports in India together presently handle only 4.61 million TEU containers. At Vizhinjam, all mother vessels of the world will dock and for the speedy movement of the containers towards the northern part of the country, will require a good connectivity and infrastructure like the Western dedicated freight corridor.
