Good video If you’re in a building and worried about setting off the fire alarm just ask the people in the building to place the system on test for an hour while you do your work 😃
Thanks for the support mate, I always ask them to go offline, so it doesn't go through to the fire brigade if it is linked but they tend not to like turning them off completely, I've done it a few times, I think these were heat ones anyway being in a garage but you can't be to careful, thanks for watching 👍
Looks good to me Tom. I’ve been jobbing around lately while there’s a break for other trades in my bigger jobs, it’s better that way, nothing worse than having to leave midway on the bigger stuff not really knowing when you’ll get back to them. Like you I prefer to have the stuff on site to get measurements off, I hate having to alter pipes after the first fix.
It does make life so much easier having the stuff on site, a good first fix always makes for an easy second fix, thanks for watching as always Robert, it is greatly appreciated 👍
Hi Tom, as you say a nice job there, I’m always happy to see some copper pipe work and soldering. The job looks very neat and tidy and I hope you had a nice easy day or so installing it. As always take care, have a great rest of the week. 👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, I do like a trouble free day where you can just enjoy the job, I find when I don't have a phone signal, those are the best days, as always thanks for watching mate, it is greatly appreciated
Excellent pipework and very neat and tidy. Not easy to most people that’s only because your so used to it and you make it look easy Tom. Just wanting to ask you is the laser level a good job. You def know your trade mate no doubt.
The laser levels are fantastic for certain jobs, I don't use it all the time but for getting a straight line around an entire room or ceiling they are perfect, you can pick them up fairly cheap now and do save a bit of time, the only down side to my one is it takes double A batteries, most now are reachable, thanks for watching as always mate
I do like these jobs, I was supposed be starting a heating system but it got postponed, to have little jobs you can fall back on is always nice, thanks for watching as always mate
As a retired Sparky who at the time avoided plumbing like the plague and left it to you guys - I find these videos of yours Tom so good and informative, as I seem to be doing a fair bit of basic plumbing repairs as a Part-time handyman in holidays homes, obviously I don't touch boilers etc, and gas hobs (being GasSafe compliant we have our own Heating guy)
Thanks for the support Alan, the thing with plumbing is once you have figured out the basics you can do most things, it's just having the confidence to do it, thanks for watching
I just fitted a butler sink in a room which is a mile from the combi. Used one of those polish instantaneous water heaters. It’s a tiny unit . 7.5 KW. Works a treat. Needs a 4mm radial supply to it though. But it wasn’t that far from the consumer unit so fairly easy install. Great video as always Tom
Those instantaneous water heaters are ideal for jobs like that, the client was happy just to have this coming off the existing hot, hopefully it should all be OK, thanks for the support as always Darren
Very tidy as usual Tom, I used to like a few jobs like that, nice to be able to see a bit of pipework on show, most of our works hidden, and not appreciated, have a good week , and take care 👍🚽
Thanks as always Peter, it is nice sometimes to be able to see your work, like you say it mostly gets hidden, I guess customers don't like looking at pipes as much as I do
I nearly prefer wee jobs now 😂 I can’t be arsed with full repiping and big bathrooms 🤦🏼♂️ You can earn a decent earning from all the wee jobs, but unfortunately that’s just not how it works 😂😂😂
For that basin you could have suggested an instantaneous water heater , that way no waiting for hot water , no legionella issues with luke warm water in the pipework. Just a thought
It was suggested at the time but they opted to come off their existing supply, I think it is just about within regs of not being more than 12 meters, as long as the customer is happy that is the main thing, thanks for watching as always mate
I do have a press gun but I only really use it one commercial sites where I can't solder, they have there advantages and it is quite quick to do the joints, the downside is that they are expensive, I still prefer soldering as I'm old fashioned I guess, thanks for the support as always Peter
You wouldn't normally have them in a domestic satiation, new builds require blenders under baths or thermostatic bath taps to prevent the risk of scalding, most showers are also now thermostatic, this is a public building so all outlets require temperature control, thanks for watching as always
Nice work Tom,👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching as always mate
Great tradesman. If you do everything right to begin with you don't need to deal with the plastic know it alls and it helps you sleep better
Thanks for watching mate
Nice little job again Tom,
Thanks for watching as always Keith
Nice and tidy Tom, another informative video. Keep up the great work 👏👏👍
Thanks for watching as always Andy

Its always good to have standard surface pipe run and stand back and admire at the end of the day. 👌👌
It does make life easier, I get why people like stuff hidden but I quite like seeing copper, thanks for the support as always Colin

Nice job there Tom 👍👍
Thanks for the support as always John
Nice neat job Tom 👍🏻
Thanks for watching as always Shaun
Nice job Tom, that’s a long draw for the hot - makes you wonder if the average user will ever get a hot hand wash.😉
True mate, when I tested it, it wasn't that bad, thanks for watching as always
I nearly prefer wee jobs now 😂

The in and out jobs are good fun, to be honest the bigger jobs can be more trouble than enough some days, thanks for the support as always Paul

Nice one tom top job. Do you use press fit. I was just wondering I’m thinking of getting one any advice 👍🏻
I do have a press gun but I only really use it one commercial sites where I can't solder, they have there advantages and it is quite quick to do the joints, the downside is that they are expensive, I still prefer soldering as I'm old fashioned I guess, thanks for the support as always Peter
Did you have a game of snooker on that table mate?
No one to play with mate, it's a lonely life, thanks for watching as always Russ
With a thermo mixing valve full bore isolation valves would be better a littie more expensive but more flow rate
Would you normally fit a blender when the supply is coming off a combi boiler? The cowboy builder who ripped off my step daughter hasn’t.
