    it’s a shame kanstul went out of business, would’ve loved to own one of these euphoniums in silver

      Enzo Calderon aye, I was actually looking to buy one of their G soprano bugles and had no clue they were out of business until a few days ago

      @@Lazarus2112 BAC got a lot of the Kanstul tooling. Might be possible to get them to build you something with it.

      Bummer. It is sad and a shame. I love Kanstul Instruments. Now who makes brass instruments in the USA?

    • @Finetales
      @Finetales 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@mikesosa1146 Conn-Selmer still makes all but some student models in the US. There's also BAC (who got much of the Kanstul tooling), Getzen, Shires, Edwards, M&W, Patterson, Atkinson, and others. Just nothing in Anaheim anymore, but Atkinson is in Burbank which is just up the 5.

      @@Finetales Thanks so much for all this info. I was aware of several of them but was not aware of that many brass manufacturers in the USA. THANKS!!!! My sadness comes from no more Bass Trumpets made in USA (I think). I am not sure if Bach makes their Bass Trumpet in the USA. I wonder what did Kanstul do with their stock, esp BTs? I only have one kanstul BT. I better treat it with kid gloves. Thanks again.

    On the other hand, the King K-80 euph was a bell-heavy beast ...glad I played soprano!

    I use marching instruments for playing in jazz, R&R and salsa bands. Not only do I use the Kanstul bass trumpet but also the marching trombone and marching baritone. They look cool in Jazz, R&R and salsa bands.

      trust me, once you get used to playing euph, a baritone feels like a trumpet. seriously, my school has 7 JP(and 4 spare Yamaha) euphs, and they're a blast to play!

      There’s no point in making a four valve compensating marching euph.
