Thanks from New Zealand, needed help installing Rockford Frostgate 6x9", this really will help.
I just wired an aux port into the factory radio, before that i didn't use the radio really. Turned it on and all of my speakers are popping. Just ordered some off Amazon, I went with 300 watt max rear speakers. I was wondering what 5.25 inch mid range subs would sound like in the doors. I got a pair of decent tweeters i was going to wire in up front. I just don't know if it will all sound even. Or if the factory setup can handle it.
Did you do a video on the front speakers?
I bought 2 6.5" speakers for the rear deck of my '95 Corolla. They don't fit. Any suggestions?
thanks lot Jay
How do you install a subwoofer in a Corolla
THANK GOD. You dont know how long I have been looking for a video like this. My speakers in the back have this static sound. They might just be POS speakers, but I have no idea, the car was salvaged from a junkyard and repaired. Also, won't there be a clearance problem if I add 15 inch wheels? I would love to put some 15s because 14 inch tires are hard to come by.
Haha your welcome man, i meant to make this along time ago and just never got around to doing it, its really not difficult, you just need to be carefull, also 15 inch wheels will fit perfect as long as the spacing is outset a little, but 17s are just a little much for this car, ive tried and it just doesnt work, it scrubs bad when you turn, and when you hit bumps, not to mention they will not fit the back at all without some major modification lol. thanks for watching and if you need anything else, just hmu :)
what do you mean by outset?
argonian bilbo the length of the center of the wheel to the edge of the rim, if the wheels sit too far under the car it will hit the strut tower and you can turn properly, but if you get wheels that sit too far out it might scrub the fender over hard bumps or when moving heavy cargo, so just put the wheels on the car and make sure everthing looks good and doesnt scrub! :)
How much were those speakers and what size were they?
Prizms got the Chevy radio, so I read. My mom's Prizm has stock speakers and they sound good for a little econo type car. My dad adjusted them in a way that, to him, made them sound almost custom. I don't know what custom speakers sound like, since all we had was stock, to our knowledge. My dad's stick Prizm that got totaled had 9968 miles and 3 years we didn't know what happened during (except she got taken to the used car lot and had evaporation system trouble (she had her check engine light shining and they told us that's what was wrong at the garage). Her engine light was the only sign we picked up on of her issues. So we don't know either if Blueberry's (car's short name) prior life involved a speaker change. All we know is she was typical '02 base stick Chevy Prizm. She had the LSi trunk lid, but not LSi features, so we knew she was really a base. Not sure if they had stick LSi's in the Chevy Prizms (Geos could be stick LSi, but not sure either way about Chevy ones). So even if Blueberry's stick wasn't incompatible with being a true LSi, her lack of LSi features like a folding backseat, power windows, a fob (guess she didn't have power locks), cruise control, outdoor thermometer and tachometer were. Not sure if she had power mirrors or not anymore. She did have a radio and CD player, like Bluebell (my mom's car's short name).
Like your video man👍... I have a 93 Corolla. I have some speakers for the front door panels but they are 6-1\2 and the rear speakers on the back seats are 6x9 will they fit ??.
Im not sure they will fit the factory mounting position. But if your hell bent on getting them on you can cut and make them fit. But i don't recommend it .
my car doesn't have any speakers in the back how do I install speakers in it??
+jordan campbell Ive got a Toyota Paseo that doesnt have factory rear speakers, and im going to be adding them very soon. Its an easy process, and most toyotas ( even if not equipped with rear speakers) have the harness already ran for you to add them. I can make a quick video on how to hook them up.
That would be awsome :)
I haven't been able to get to the Paseo here lately. I've had lots of other projects going at once. I'll be back on the Paseo soon though.
I have a 1997 corolla the right size for the speakers are 6.5? please let me know? are jvc speakers any good? its for my moms car so she really is not looking for anything that loud.
6.5 is the right size! and JVC is a little outdated. I would go with something like pioneer or sony if your looking for something a little better than stock!
Thank you sir, but its not for me its for my mothers car she really doesn't care about the brand all she wants is to the speakers to be decent quality. but i do agree with you pioneer or the kicker speakers are great speakers
Even for your mother, they're inexpensive and have very good sound quality. So its really up to how much you wanna spend haha.
My speakers are in a shell what do u do about that then
No idea
So were your speakers blown? My left side on the front and back dont have sound. Is that what it is?
my rear speakers were just plain worn out. They did work thou. Have you checked your speaker wireing from your radio? Because it kinda sounds like they might not be hooked up correctly since its one side not working. but yes it could be the speakers too. if you have a spare good speaker, maybe wire it up and see if it works from the left side leads. If it does then the speakers are toast! Stay tuned for front door replacement speakers!
Turned out to be my aux cord lol I still bought speakers
ive had aux cords go bad too. lol.well atleast you got baddass sound now
Yea man appreciate the response
Did he say “little amplifiers built in to each speaker” 🤣🤣🤣
"Phoenix Gold" is the brand name, its not Phoenix - Gold series.
Kicker fan boys. oh lord :P
they arent crazy expensive, and it sounds sweet lol. i dont only use kicker, ive got tons of other shit. lol
overpriced for what you get honestly.
i get them marked down, so in my case worth it lol, but not a good choice from others standpoint lol
walmart special? lol. not trying to give you shit since we're friends. but i can't stand them kicker fan boys
best buy lol, and i know i know, your a good bro, and if i had money you know i would have something better ;)
Not sure why you would need an amp for the front speakers. Just adjust the fade on your receiver. Thanks for the video.
i want them to end out sounding as clear and loud and the rear speakers, and i have a special amp thats made to do just that job :)
You need to talk less man, make the video 8 minute shorter
sorry about that Mr. Wang, wait... no im not, its my video and i make them however i feel like. short isnt my thing, i like to enjoy what im doing the fullest extent, if you do not like the longer videos then do not watch them, but never the less, have a good day :)
