Didn't expect you to do one of these with a Japanese player, much less Tokido. Thanks Justin, this is one of the most entertaining FGC youtube channels right now.
Tokido just has the greatest personality and is so humble and chill, I root for him anytime he's in a tournament. Such a cool dude! More great interviews Justin!

i am a vtuber watcher and in japan right now they have this master disciple situation with sf6 where vtubers and streamers come who are beginners to the game are coached by japanese pro players and face off each other in a tournament. The interactions between Tokido and the vtubers were really funny as it was his first time actually interacting with vtubers. Tokido came out at least to me to be a really genuine and straightforward dude.
16:04 (paraphrasing) "Every day I feel like I'm getting better. I'm now at my best ever. I will keep on playing competitively if I think that today, I'm the best ever, compared to the past me" Fucking legend
I would interpret it in a different (and even better way), considering Justin’s question that was for how long he will continue playing. Tokido is saying that until he can gets better he will continue to play, which means that as long as there is a challenge for him and he can see he can beat that challenge, he will. It looks quite inspiring since if there is something you have not done at your best yet, you should pursue it.
Love this interview! Seems like he is more relaxed when speaking to you than he normally is. Even over the course of this video you can see him relax more and speak faster as it goes on. Keep it up, these are awesome Justin
I love tokido of being honest from being player, who he dont want play in early compatition, very humble guy and JWong studied all the good question to ask for this interview, 2 thumbs up.. two living legend in one table i love it.. thank you for being a good influence to youger gen..
When I watched Tokido interviews Justin, I was hoping Justin would do 1 for his channel too. It's unusual for me to say this in a comment, but the lighting in this space was stellar. It gives cozy, cozy vibes!
i will always enjoy tokido's perspectives as such a key and longtime player (all while interviewing each other back to back, so pure) and i appreciate the both of you for having each others' backs, challenging each other and running the sets 💕
Great ass interview Justin with one of the greatest to ever do it. and still doin it. Lovely to see the rivalry and respect these two legends have for each other. They go way back but it never gets old with these guys!
Like, you probably could have cut the interview into segments!! 30 mins can be hard to keep an audience engaged the whole time. 2-3 even 4/5 mins would be so digestible! But I know I'll definitely be watching the whole thing!
Great show. I love to see these types of interviews. Just two friends chilling and laughing...being themselves. I can't wait to see Tokido's SF6 Akuma. I think this version of Akuma is made for him.
I don’t even follow SF that much since V (nothing against VI, just lack of time) but I still enjoy taking in a Tokidp interview. The man is humble and so down to earth.. I have mad respect for him as a player and a person. The FGC could use a lot more of his type.
Dude, so good to see Tokido connecting well with the american community and seeing him getting more and more outgoing! In fact all of you guys seem to become increasingly happy the older you get (other than you, Justin. I never saw you in a bad mood 😂)!
Great interview Justin! Dude Tokido is such an awesome mix of “funny and serious.” Man I want me a murderface tape measure! Video suggestions: Taking a page from Sajam and Fuudo, you guys going out site seeing, eating, karaoke, movie/tv reactions should be more a thing…especially since one side is traveling an ocean to be there.
Being an oldo starting to get into fighting games, it's great to see people my age. Never retire! Need people to talk about the game with, in between complain about back pain and health concerns
I have never been a big SF fan. I'm more a NRS and KI fan. But Tokido is the best fighting game player ever. Watching Evo if he's playing I have to watch. He is the GOAT Great interview Justin
Found Tokido's channel recently with the vlogs and they were great to watch. At the afterparty when he talked with Caba there was just enough English between them to share a great quick moment.
Love you channel bro. I never played fighting games and Tekken 8 is the first and it led me down a rabbit hole of fight games that I’ll never play but love watching. Maybe in Tekken 12 I’ll be good enough to compete 😂 good shit bro
Even though Tokido's English is extremely high level, what's more impressive is the way Justin talks to him. He doesn't use extremely complicated words or slang, and speaks slowly and clearly. This is huge when speaking to someone in their non native language and almost all monolingual people do not understand this or do not empathize with the person they're speaking to. Big respect.
Justin's talks with Tokido are the content I really dig from his channel; haven't checked yet, but would love to see he has inquiries on the insights from other acquaintances if his pertaining to the fg community, althought I don't care about north american players in general and would prefer interviews with european, asian or south american players.
Everyone's talking about how Tokido is a legend and a genius, but I think what makes this interview so special is that we're watching two legends and geniuses are having a chat.
This is top quality media!...if you could overcome the language barrier with let's say Daigo, & get a help of a translator & edit it out smoothly in the final cut, your content quality level will sky rocket...I really love & appreciate what you do Justin.
Never clicked on something faster in my life
Same when you upload, legend.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised you are also a fan of the GOAT himself.

good stuff as always, also a lot of respect to tokido for getting comfortable enough with english to do interviews like this.
