    Do you have another video on using round wires without weaving? That to me looks so difficult. Sorry. But this is a great tutorial. Thanks. I only have round wire and don’t know if that makes a big difference from flat wires from other tutorials I have seen. For this video instead of weaving can I wrap around?

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could probably wrap all the wires together. I usually prefer to weave because it keeps the wires from bunching. I know of other artists who do just wrap the base wires with thin weaving wire and it looks just fine. ☺️

    • @mywifetheartist
      @mywifetheartist 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ellieshandcrafted thanks I am so new to this and have not done one yet, but will do one tomorrow. All the videos I have seen use flat wires. Unfortunately I bought round wire because I did not know if it mattered. Thanks for your help.

      @@mywifetheartist That is really common for wrapped styles. Although, I didn't have much luck with square and half-round when I first started... Too much twisting. lol. I'm glad I was able to help!

    Heya, thanks for the tutorial. I have a question for you though. Won’t the ends of the wire where you snapped or cut them off be sharp for the person wearing the piece of jewellery? Is there any way to prevent this?

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      They can be. With the "pull and twist" method, the "cut" is usually in between the wires, so they don't stick out. It's one of the reasons I prefer it over using flush cutters for areas where it's hard to tuck in the wire. If you do have a sharp end, you can soften it with sand paper. (Assuming you're using a solid, and not plated wire.) Hope that makes sense. :)

    Hi, may I ask why you tear the wire instead of cutting it off?

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If done right, it makes it so you don't have to tuck in any wire. And sometimes it is hard to tuck in weaving wire, so I usually prefer that method. :)

      Unfortunately, I don’t have a PDF tutorial for this particular pendant. This would probably be the closest to this design: ellieshandcraftedjewelry.com/products/fall-leaf-pendant-tutorial. But you can change the accents over the bail and do more swoops instead of weaving the leaves. :)
