Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed it! Check out these earrings that are the same design but I used square and half round wire… th-cam.com/video/kCqngEpC5Jw/w-d-xo.html Have a great week! 💜☺️
I would love to see this video remade and not as zoomed in so I can see the method. Love the finished design and want to do one of my own. Thank you for sharing your talent :)
I’m learning & enjoy your videos. Please slow down your snap shots so we can appreciate your craft. I’ve fallen in love with wire wrapping. Thank you for your instructions. I’m learning so much ❤️
This will be my first try wrapping a stone. I must say, I prefer the look of these simple designs, anyhow. I’m not a fan of the “twirls” or “swirls”. I admire the work and design that goes into those complex pieces, but it can take away from the stone, some can barely be seen under the mass of wire. You are one of my go to wire channels. Thank you! 😊
I just wanted to say, you are an incredible teacher. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making this video. You are very skilled in your craft and it shows through your clear and direct instructions.
I think a list of materials would be great, and that way I believe I could do my jewelry right along with you. I've done that, but only after I've had all of my materials. And I did it!!! Thank you for your teachings!!! Helps me with my depression, and helps my hand and eye coordination.
I am going to make this my very first project. I love that this design doesn't cover too much of the stone, and that it looks neat and clean on the back.
Thanks so much! As a new wrapper, I may have the courage to try this because it really looks doable thanks to your cIear directions. Such a pretty design!
I made a very simular design as the front view without any bail weaving using 2 pieces of round wire about 5" long, but ended up with a mess at the bottom of pendant, so after a week of staring at it and trying to think of a solution, I finally created one. And it's the only piece I've made without any image to go by. But your design is way better and sturdy. I also used a stone that was near oval and thicker, I can still pop the stone out if I wanted. So I might do that and use some scrap 28g and secure the back better. Thank you for your tutorials! You are an amazing artist!
Melissa: simply awesome design idea and beautiful wrapping!! Hopefully you have won some first places in jewelry shows/competitions. The minimal wrapping, yet most elegant design is very appealing!! Thank you!!💕LindaRae
I love this video you’re so detailed with your tutorials. You went very slow and I could follow and learn those weaves with you and I love your designs really awesome thank you for sharing.❤
That is so awesome. There’s a new wire rapper. I really enjoyed watching your video then necklace pendant turned out absolutely gorgeous. I have some white stones that I’ve recently tumbled. That will fit perfectly and something like that.❤
My husband just made me a beautiful carnelian cab out if a slab, just about the same size, and I'm going to use this pattern to make a wonderful pendant. Thank you for the idea!
I love this design!! I have so much trouble with trying to secure a stone by turning the wires. They are ALWAYS off from each other. I like the look of the front and back turned wires to match and be even. I really struggle with that. This design is symetrical and elegant. Thank you for this simple, yet beautiful design tutorial. I am going to give this a try.
Thanks for this awesome beginner tutorial chocked full of tips! I often struggle with figuring out the length, quantity, and gauge of wires I need for a design based on the stone’s dimensions. Do you have any additional rules of thumb for determining this that you could share with us?❣
Thank you thank you!!! My sisters and I have loved collecting sea glass, and I wanted to make pendants for them. This was my very first wire wrap jewelry --or any kind of jewelry-making-- and I wanted this design in sterling silver. So I gave it a go. I figured out a few techniques as I went. For example. when wrapping the wire, bring the small wire up perpendicular before bringing it over, to keep it neat and tight. The pendant is certainly not perfect, but I enjoyed it and am going to begin my next one. (I wanted to send you a photo, but don't see how to do it : )
I like the way you explained everything in depth. I Ty for sharing how to measure four the stone, very helpful 👍. Where do you buy a clamp like that, I can't find one?
Hello! I love your videos! They are so very helpful. I was wondering what you would do if you needed to add another wire for stability? In the beginning of your video you said that 3 wires may not be enough if your stone is too fat. What length would you cut this wire to and would you place it in the center to work in with the bail wire? Would you use the same weaving technique, or use a different one? Sorry for all the questions! I am fairly new to wire weaving and I can't really find any other videos like this one. Do you maybe have a video that you could link me to using a different technique for a little bit more plump (lol) cabochon? Thank you for the great videos and being a great teacher! And any help that you can point me in the right direction of!!
you are very skilled, thank you. This video is displayed perfectly, with explanations that are easy to understand, even though I changed the transcript setting to Indonesian.❤❤❤
Very nice Video thank you! Can you explain what you use to smooth the wire at the beginnend of the Video? I am a beginner and it would be very helpful for me.😅 Greeting from Germany 💜
Hello= I always thought wire weaving was so difficult. I’m relieved to see it’s possible to do. Can you tell me the size Cab you used and what was it you were using to push the weave together for the bottom of the Cab? I I think I know is it looked black. Thanks so much. Nancy 👵🏻🥰😇💗
Great tutorial.love you teaching style. What is the wire clamp called or where can I find one? And is that a guitar pick you use to push the wrapped 28g wire tight?
I really love this. I have a PERFECTLY clear tourmaline quartz cabochon I want to wear. But if you put a backing on it, it just looks ugly. It needs to be clear to see the details of the tourmaline in it. This wrap is great!
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial, just what I was looking for. I have one question, though. What was that tool you used to compress the coils while weaving the wire?
Thank you! My stone kept falling out the bottom and going in at a tilt. Any tips on how to avoid that so it's also secure there? I tried to squeeze the frame as much as possible so it was snug, though I had less room between the top of my stone and the bail than in yours. I think I also had some trouble with crossing the front and back - lower means more secure but then there's no bare frame wire to attach them to (since it's pressing against the stone), too high so they can be secured to the frame, but the stone is only gripped at the top.
Just a bizarre question ... ...I realize they make gold wire (plated, filled, or solid) which you can use if preferred, but say you have completed it in copper and instead of oxidizing it, you want a more golden or even antique gold look for the setting, is there anything else you can do (that would be as permanent as possible) to change it? I love the quality, look and strength of copper to work with but sometimes people prefer a golden or even silver color better. I would LOVE to have a solution for a silver option if you know of one also especially if you are aware of one that won't tarnish/rub off also. Thank you for all you do- I love your designs and instructive videos 😊😅😊
Lovely, going to try making this for my wife,1st attempt at making jewellery but i sculpt and can do metalwork, welding, carpentry so have alot of tools and the will to please my bestie whos had a rough time lately, just seen some amethyst cabochons of a reasonable quality and price and ordering some gold wire (hopefully this should work ok?!?) Great vid, have subscribed 😊😊 and will also share with my 12 yo who also has been making jewellery (mainly pony beads etc,but its a good starter!) Hopefully end up with them going crazy with a jewellers blowtorch and outshining her father as always 😅❤
Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed it!

Stunningly beautiful, achievable, and I like your chill commentary style
Strange.... I Love the little squeeking sound of pliers, it makes me calm and gets me in a moode of wanting to make jewelry 😂😂😂
That’s cool! Haha
That’s probably why I haven’t done anything about it! 😄
It’s very ASMR
I’m learning & enjoy your videos. Please slow down your snap shots so we can appreciate your craft. I’ve fallen in love with wire wrapping. Thank you for your instructions. I’m learning so much ❤️
Thank you for accommodating people with round wires only. It’s quite difficult to source half round wires in higher gauges where I live.

This will be my first try wrapping a stone. I must say, I prefer the look of these simple designs, anyhow. I’m not a fan of the “twirls” or “swirls”. Wow! I didn’t realize how easy wire wrapping can be. I’m definitely going to try this! I’m getting bored with polymer clay🤭
Give it a try!
I haven’t gotten into polymer clay yet but I’m sure I will someday! lol
to be fair, she makes it look easy. im not finding weaving easy at all lmao
Your dog is so cute! I enjoyed this video. Simple. I do hope I can do this pendant. Thank you for sharing.
You can do it! ☺️💜
One of the most beautiful wraps I've ever seen!! This will be the first design I do ❤️ thank you
That’s awesome!! 🎉🎉🎉
I love your classic and simple designs. ❤ Very elegant!
Thanks for this awesome beginner tutorial chocked full of tips! I often struggle with figuring out the length, quantity, and gauge of wires I need for a design based on the stone’s dimensions. Do you have any additional rules of thumb for determining this that you could share with us?❣
It all depends on the stone. I decide the gauge of wire and the amount of wires needed by the size and thickness! 💜☺️
Wonderful Melissa! You are very passionate and patient when doing wirework, it's very tedious. Much admiration! Have a fantastic week!
Thanks so much! Have a great week! ☺️💜

I adore this. I'm definitely going to try this, I have a very specific stone in mind!!
Wonderful!
Oh my that is a beautiful pendant.
thanks! 💜☺️
Absolutely gorgeous!! Can you show something similar for a beginner who only has that scissor tool :)?
I would like to see something like that with the stone for an April made with sterling silver if you don't mind
Such a nice simple design for starting. Thank you!
You are so welcome! 💜
Thank you. Simple to learn, but elegant. Any tips on preventing kinks on my 28 gauge wire? Should I keep on spool and get kinks or cut a long piece?
I started using bobbins. I posted a link here. They help!

I'm about to start wrapping quartz crystals. I'm in Arkansas and just scored about 100 for only $40.! Could be the beginning of a nice hobby!

That’s probably the guitar pick!
Absolutely gorgeous. You lost me a bit on the wrapping of the thin gauge wire, but I can learn that technique on another video
Oh no!
So sorry. I get carried away 🤦🏼♀️
This is exactly what I needed today! I have been struggling with wrapping two Cabochans almost identical to this carnelian. Thank you!
Awesome! Glad I could help! 🤗

Yes! I use a guitar pick and also a cushion clamp. Link should be in my description
Beautiful work!! Thank you.
Btw what is the tool that you use to push the small gauge wires together?
Guitar pick!
Hi, what chart do u use for such a measurement of stone. Have you made a chart for the stone measurements to cut size of wire?!? Ty🙏💫
I measure around the stone and use about 3-4 times the length in wire

Is that a Border Terrier? I have one too. Great video! Beautiful work. I think I could try that.❤
