    At the 31:56 minute mark you use pliers to make some space in the front frame weave so you can lash the back and front together. A favorite tool of mine for that task is using a T-pin.
    Thanks for the lovely tutorial.

    I absolutely love the back! I think the bezel itself ought to be a little larger all around to contain the stone, leaving a back that is flat and flush with the bezel. There are certain key points on the stone that need to be captured, in order to secure the stone.

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. The design is better suited for thinner stones, but this is what I had to work with at the time.. lol. It probably would have been better if I’d made the bezel wider as well. :)

      This design is definitely better for thin stones. I think I used a stone that was a tad too thick and probably should have made the bezel a tad wider.

    I have made this!! Your tutelage is wonderful! BTW how should wire be held as not to have the warmth of your hands distort your work?? I seem to have a death grip... I am trying to use my fingers only my hands... Blah!

    I love your videos, and I've learned so much from you! My question is, when you sell a pendant, do you offer a chain or a chord with the pendant? Do you have any advice?

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I usually offer a nickel-free, copper finished chain with my pieces. Occasionally I exchange for cords, if requested. (I get them from GemPlus24 on Etsy). I just make sure to factor that cost into the piece. If they want a solid copper chain, I usually charge extra for them. Hope that helps!

    Could i use 18 and 24 gauge wire?

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could, but 24 gauge can be difficult to weave with. I usually recommend weaving with 26 or 28 gauge wire. But 18 gauge, should work just fine. :)

    Ok, So I have a question? How much of the stone should the woven wires cover?

    • @ellieshandcrafted

      I would say, just enough to hold the stone in place. Maybe an 1/8 of an inch or so? Hope that answers your question. ☺️
