    Very lovely design and wonderful tutorial! I not only appreciate your detailed instructions but your taste in designs. While I find some other creators informative, I don’t like their designs as much as yours. Thanks for sharing!

    Cool! It's a very beautiful piece! If I hadn't see the wrap tutorial before, I would've looked at this and said this is something I could never make. Now I feel more confident in coming up with designs

    This is so pretty! With the back being so elegant - it's basically a two sided pendant. I also really like the construction of it where you sandwich the stone into the frame at the very end, it seems like it would be a great way to secure tumbled stones - especially those pesky shiney slippery ones that are a little uneven... Oh! And maybe one could make a pattern with the weaves connecting the two halves of the frame...
    I'm so excited to go and experiment! Thank you for the inspiration!

    I really like the whole design fabrication! It is detailed without diminishing the cabochon. If this is classified as advanced beginner, could you please show intermediate and advanced projects? Great work - thank you for sharing your designs and making these tutorials!!

      Thanks so much!! I like to make as many free beginner tutorials as I can for those who are just starting, but I am working on some more elaborate designs as well. Most often, the more intermediate pieces are written tutorials that are listed on my website. :) I hope that helps!

    I love your creations and your tutorials! You’re so talented at making it easier for us to make lovely things, and i thank you!
    Just a question about your wire…could you tell me if it is hard, half-hard, dead soft, etc? I went to the links you provided to order the 20 and 28 gauge but do not know what softness would be appropriate.
    Thank you for your help and I look forward to learning from you.
    🥰👍🏻😁

      I’m so happy to hear that! 🥰 I use dead soft for all my projects. I hope that helps!

    This is a great tutorial... I just have a question about how the Blue tape markings help you know where to start your weave in regards to the wire. My cab is larger. So do I hold the beginning of the wire at the first marking to the left and start my weave at the middle marking. I hope my question makes sense 2:34

      Hi there! It's best to start from the middle if you want to have this exact pattern, but not necessary. As long as you have tail ends on either side to create the bail and back, you're good to go! Just measure the distance around the stone, mark its center. Then, mark the center of the wire and match it up to the tape and find where the weave should end on either side based on the stone's measurements and mark the wire. Hope that makes sense.

      It really depends on where you're located. I get my wire from Riogrande.com and sometimes from Amazon. As far as stones, I get them from CASDANS.com, but as far as I'm aware, they only ship in the United States. But you can also find stones on places like Etsy. I hope that helps!

    I also messed up at this part... I started the weave from the first line to the middle. Can I still continue the weave from flipping the frame over and continuing. The only thing where I stopped the weave is with the coil. Do I need to continue with the 2 and 2 weave down and start the new weave with a new wire. Also Do you cut the 28 g wire from the original weave, if so how long of a tail do you leave. Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get it right.

      @ellieshandcrafted  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Without seeing your piece, it's hard to tell for sure, but you can certainly do that. Just be sure that you're not weaving the coil on the back side of the frame. And if you're trying to mirror the first weave, you would just do the 2, 2 weave going up rather than down, or vise versa. As far as the tail, I usually leave about 12" in case I need to continue to weave a ways. If you run short or cut it completely off, that's no problem, you would just weave some more weaving wire as if you were starting over. Hope that makes sense. lol. My stone is 4.5 cm by 3.5cm. What length would you recommend for this size 😊

    • @ellieshandcrafted
      @ellieshandcrafted  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm not sure based on those dimensions. I would measure the distance around the stone and then add about 6 inches or so. Hope that helps! :)
