I wasn't realizing the AoR let's you use the offering at the start of a phase. That's how you get around the heroic action. Damn
I just tried to build the DoK list in the AoS app. Turns out that you are forced to take the subfaction specific command trait, so you cant take High Priest command trait. The subfaction CT is pretty cool, it forces enemy units within 12” to roll a die when receiving a command, on 5+ is costs one more CP or is not received but the CP is still spend.
This helps with the battle tactic of using more Command Abilities then your opponent ;)
I’m also confused how Kretusa knows two prayers (besides her warscroll prayer)? The app doesn’t give the option to pick any prayers on her, and since she is a names character you can’t give her enhancements..
Not trying to be the “uHm AcTuAlY” guy, just trying to recreate the list to play it myself
@Swirling_Leaf you can when using warlord battalion and select the choice for extra prayer.
Good shout I tried recently as well and it seems that it locks you in that CT for some reason

Curse mortal wounds are in addition to damage. It looked as if the DoK player was not rolling those dice for wounding
I feel like I did forget 😅. I don't often play with curse not use to mortals in addition.
Always love to see some DoK, but especially this new model and supfaction. Lots of fun stuff!

Round 4 Stormcast battletactic was displayed wrong on screen, it showed Magical Dominance. Didn't bother me but just saying, might be a file that is misslabeled.
DoK elf builds have always been so good. Just hard to play that many models

15:48 seems like you might have forgotten the vigilors +1 to hit effect, at least with gardus's shooting.

6s are automatically wound with more rend. He forgets many times!
I opted for mortals instead with curse since I can't have both trigger on 6's.
Did you roll for the fight on death for the Hallowed knight subfaction? 4+ redeemers can fight on death, and also the 6+ MW for thunderstrike ability that triggers on death - lots of combat so I wonder if any MW got through from those abilities...
You could complete Round 5's tactic with autorrun or shoot with all out attack
Lead into maelstrom is risky in the first turn for the slow stormcast if you dont play 7' scions. He also forgot the Shooting from Ionus (or i missed it).

Why the Lord arcanum on Gryph Charger can get Shaman of the Chilled Lands? Its just for anthorian Locus, or??
he is one, mounted heroes are allowed to be Locus', they just can't go in the Andtorian Acolytes battalion iirc.
The crone-elves are cool, but playing them seems scary, I would just spend the entire time doing game losing mistakes :/
Question. If the warlocks ran away 8", how did ionus reach? Even with a 3" pile and 3" reach...
The front model of the Warlocks would have made the full 8" but the rest of the unit, with the terrain in the way, won't have made the full 8" distance allowing Ionus to comfortably reach :)

Krethusa's ability can happen anytime in the hero phase, not just start of.
It's actually not any time. In the phase means specifically after "at the start of" and before "at the end of" you can't use them in those 2 sub-phases

I was of the same impression that it's between 'start and end of', but people somehow started demanding a FAQ because they don't know when it happens and said it's anytime xD
@@MrHelix7293 correct. Core rules 1.6.1 all abilities that don't specify have to be used after abilities that say "at the start of" and before abilities that say "at the end of"

2. In the
3. At the end of

Isn't the lord arcanum only a 1 cast wizard (after casting the blizzard, then casting his warscroll heal spell)?
Also my thought… 1 caster…

Ionus needed his aura in the middle of the board from turn 1. Not a great plan to throw him on the side for 2 turns. Still love seeing the new DoK AoR!
I feel a unit of vanguard hunters are a must in any SCE list because of the importance of teleporting for battle tactics
@@salsathe4thKnight zephyros or Lord arcanum on Gryphius charger are also good. All better than Ionus.
@@salsathe4th well its preetty far from an optimized list in general.
@@salsathe4th Generally if your trying to score with SCE you just bring multiple vanguard hunters with some combination of lord arc on gc. Then you just uninteractively score all your battle tactics.
